This was a fabulous place to eat at! It was very clean. The food had a very fresh homemade taste. Left us feeling full and happy. Very friendly staff.

My mom and I were on our way to the movies and wanted to stop in for lunch before the show. I was happy to see when I looked up the Café it had good reviews, so I felt like we were going to be in for a treat. I love supporting small businesses and I love good food so this was a double win! It’s a small café with a somewhat odd shaped dining area and décor was minimal and slightly unimpressive. When I think of café, I think of eclectic items adorning the walls with maybe unique art pieces to compliment. We were greeted by a nice hostess who also happened to be the server. There was only one other table in the restaurant we stopped in(11:40 am on a Friday) and the server immediately informed us of several items that were unavailable, all of the kabobs, soup of the day and the meat schawarma. I was surprised to hear this at such an early hour given there was no evidence of a typical«lunch rush». To be out of kabob at a Mediterranean restaurant is kind of a big deal. We ordered a side of baba ghanoush and a falafel sandwich. After waiting for about 25 minutes after our ordered was placed, we were then informed that the cook just found out they were also out of baba ghanoush. We were offered hummus as a replacement but declined. The falafel sandwich came with a side of sweet potato fries. The falafel was wrapped in what seemed like a store bought pita versus a homemade one. There was a slight imbalance in the lettuce, tomato and falafel ratio in that there was a lot of lettuce(ice berg) and tomato compared to the actual falafel. The falafel had a bland flavor and the sauce that was given was very runny and had little seasoning. The french fries were good and probably saved the dish. I wish we had a better experience but unfortunately, neither my mom or I will be returning.

This is one of the most enjoyable places to eat that I have experienced in El Paso, The owner, Becky, who is from Lebanon, represents the best of the Lebanese culture. She is gracious, welcoming and cooks delicious healthy foods. Even her baklava is relatively healthy. She has a few non Mediterranean items on her menu which are equally delicious.

Im gonna try to sell you why you should visit this restaurant. Why am I giving this humble café 4 stars? The underdog spirit, the warm hearted owner and budget friendly Mediterranean food… grew on me instantly. The café is tucked in Remcon circle. You kinda have to look for it to find it. No one was parked there. But we decided to take the chance. Hand knit scarves on the door handle. Not your average café décor but something tells me that this will be a homey environment. We are greeted by a teenager-ish(son?) hostess/waiter. I think we caught him by surprise bc his affect warmed up as time passed. He reminded me of my younger brother so his at-first awkwardness didnt bother me. In fact, it made me miss my bro. No free appetizer bread. I see that this café is health conscious. Maybe thats why, I assume. Gluten free bread! I love it bc I have some gluten sensitivity(found that the owner did too!). We order beef chicken kabob plate and meat shwarma sandwich. I got pita bc I read on urbanspoon that the pita was good(mm it was ok). The food is on the bland side not because the chef is not talented but bc rest of the world put way too much dang salt. I found the kabob dish well seasoned. Meat shwarma had almost no salt but we could always add on our own. No problemo. The tsatziki sauce isnt Greek yogurt so it’s not thick but it tasted good. Mine came w side salad, pita, two meat skewers on a bad of rice. Meat shwarma came w sweat potato fries. The sandwich was actually pretty big. They didnt skimp on the meat. Happy campers here. The owner comes out to talk to us. She is the kindest and funniest café owner. She and I shared about our health journeys. She doesnt like cooking w a lot of salt, she wants others to have gluten free options, etc. She mentioned groupon etc. She said we could use it this time but unfortunately groupon website was down. I will def use it next time. We had baklava based on urbanspoon review. Petite size $ 2. Delish but not out of this world. Most amazingly. The price. Each dish was less than $ 10. The problem w ethnic food in EP is that its so expensive. Yes, this place wont blow your mind away. But its very homey. Its good. Its health conscious(the only Mediterranean place w gluten free options. C’on. Thats waaay ahead of the curve in EP). And it wont break your budget! I know where I am coming for my Mediterranean fix.
