Everything about this place has been perfect with my experiences. They have great food and great service, and their prices are definitely worth it! Given that there’s usually only one server taking care of dine-in and take-out, I’m impressed.

I am in El Paso for work and was craving shawarma, so did a search. This place cane up and the reviews looked good, so i decided to try it. When i pulled into the parking lot, i had second thoughts, but decided to try anyway. Boy am I glad I did! I had a cup of orzo soup and it had a nice spicy kick to it. I ordered the half chicken shawarma and it was so delicious, i couldn’t stop raving about it to the man who served me. Please come to Austin!

I will always give five stars to a place with great food and pride in customer satisfaction. After learning they forgot the dressing on my Salad, they went out of their way to apologize as well as offer my next meal on the house. What great customer service… not to mention a great tasting menu! I got Antipasto salad with small humus delivered to my hotel for only $ 11. The salad was very fresh greens and a good ratio of cheese, meet and greens. The humus was very tasty with plenty of pita bread.

Food is delicious. I have ordered several different plates and they are all great. The remodeling is also very cozy. Very clean.

Very good mediterranean food. Very cozy little restaurant. They recently remodeled and the place looks great. I went in on a Tuesday night and it was deaaaad. So i cant speak to the service when busy but it was exceptional when I was only table there lol. Doors held open, order and drink brought quickly(refills as well), and food incredibly fast I was impressed. On to the food. I was brought complimentary bread to start. It was a very unique style of bread that I have never had before. Sqaure almost coffee cake style, the top is coated with olive oli and herbs. You take a bite into it and at first you think the texture is a bit rough and maybe stale, but its just the topping as you chew you really get the flavor and it starts to sort of melt in your mouth(in a good way). Despite my initial impression, I found myself eating all of them. It was different but good. I ordered the grape leaves/dolmas as an appetizer and they were out very quickly. Smaller than I’m used to, they were packed with flavor. The yogurt saw was very thin, watery texture, but remarkably sweet. I liked the yogurt but I think i prefer the thicker variety. For my entrée I ordered chicken schwarma with a side of hummus. This is a big dish and they are very generous with the chicken. The chicken was a good mix of slightly crispy and very tender. I was a big fan. The hummus was delicious. Definitely the berst hummus I’ve had in town so far. And they were equally generous in portion size with the hummus. They provided a side of bread to dip in the hummus. While I definitely prefer naan style, the offered bread was good and flaky and went well with the hummus. All in all I was very impressed with the food and service. One oddity was the receipt didnt list the actual food I got. But the price seemed right so I guess they just have standard buttons depending on what you get. So dont be too surpised. I will definitely be back. Great date place.

The inside of the restaurant looks nice. The food is not very good. We ordered a falafel wrap, a chicken shawarma and a combo appetizer plate(I think). The best part of the combo plate were the homemade dolmas. Most restaurants get them straight out of the can, but this place seemed authentic. The chicken shawarma sandwich was ok. The falafel sandwich was way too salty. It was the first time I had tasted an over salted falafel and could not finish it. The worst part of the restaurant was its waiter’s bracelet. The waiter had a string bracelet that brushed into everything he brought. So he contaminated our rice, veges, sandwiches and so on. We would not recommend this place because the food is not good and the staff are not well trained in basic handling of food.

My wife and I had a free night without the kids, so we decided to try something different. Salma Farah’s was one of those restaurants that we really didn’t know much about, but the reviews we’ve seen were really favorable. So we put it on the«We’ve got to check it out» list of restaurants. On this particular evening, we decided to shoot up Mesa from the house to give it a try. We pulled into this weirdly situated restaurant at the end of a shopping strip type of building and it appeared that we were the only guests that evening. We were really hungry so we were anxious to get our food ordered. We entered the restaurant and we had to whole place to ourselves. The dining area was clean, neat and simply appointed. We were greeted enthusiastically by our very friendly server and offered menus. I ordered the traditional Mediterranean plate and my wife ordered the stuffed grape leaves plate. For starters we ordered the Baba Ghanosh, which was flavorful, delicious and substantive. Our server was very attentive and refilled our pita bread bowl as needed. We received our entrees shortly thereafter and we just dug in. After the entrée, we ordered the Baklava. It was soooooo delicious, we ordered some to go. The food was delicious, flavorful and also very substantive. So much so, that we had to get«to go» boxes. Overall, Salma Farah’s Mediterranean is a great place to get your Mediterranean food fix. We enjoyed our visit so much, we plan on making this place one of our regular spots. This definitely falls under the«Good eats» category! See you all there…

Excellent and wonderful restaurant, tucked away from a major thoroughfare. I can see people living their whole lives in El Paso or at nearby UTEP(only a mile away) and never visiting this place, which is a damn shame because the food is awesome. Alhamdulillah! This is easily the best kanafa I’ve ever had — a generous portion of kanafa smothered in almond slivers and sugar syrup. Soooo good. Also, I loved their hummus and baba ghanoush, though both are garlic heavy. Overall, this was an awesome place.

On a road trip cross country and stopped here for food due to good Unilocal reviews — was not disappointed. Amazing server and amazing food. Attentive and professional. Mediterranean pizza was delicious. Hummus, Baba Ganoush(lmao I know that’s got to be spelled wrong.) were very goood! Home-y vibe. Will most likely stop back on way home. :)

This restaurant is small and intimate. There was no one to seat us but we didn’t go unnoticed for long. The waiter came out immediately with pita bread and dipping sauce. I was hooked on the bread! It was so warm and soft I’ve honestly never had pita bread taste so good! I ordered a chicken gyro and tomato basil soup. Never in my life have I had a tomato basil soup taste so good! I was thinking it would be more of a broth but it had texture and a beautiful aroma. It was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, my chicken gyro was disappointing! Everything was going so well until I had my first bite. Where should I begin? My chicken was extremely dry and I think it was sitting out for awhile because it didn’t have the proper temperature either. It kinda tasted like chicken leftovers you leave out throughout the day. There was hardly any sauce on my gyro nothing screamed Mediterranean flavors. Lastly, my pita bread had fallen apart just in a couple bites. I’m very disappointed but at least I know where to get good tomato basil soup.

This place is a hidden secret. And I do mean hidden! You aren’t able to see it from the street; it’s behind another restaurant. I was the only one in the restaurant and was waited on right away. Ordered lamb kabobs and they were fantastic! Perfectly grilled on a bed of rice. Included chicken orzo soup. Rice was a bit too buttery and orzo in soup over-cooked but flavors were spot on. Wil definitely return when in El Paso next.

Yesterday’s visit was dissapointing. Almost $ 14.00 for a gyro filled with lettuce and 16 very thin slices of meat. No shankleesh available either. Something changed either staff or management…

Not coming back. The disorganization blows. I ordered take out last night(a subpar $ 15 gyro that was slapped together with a single piece of cucumber and tomato) and was told over the phone that it would be complete in ten minutes, but fast forward thirty five minutes later and someone comes out to mumble that«something happened to the sandwich» like it got kidnapped just before I arrived. Turns out, this was sort of true! The guy runs out to his pickup truck, goes to open a secret compartment in his trunk and takes out my order. What in the world is a gyro doing there? Is this how they preserve all their meals? I was at least expecting him to apologize and throw in a side order of fries or something but he thrust this box at me and I gladly got the fluck out of this joint. I repeat, NEVERAGAIN.

First off the hours on Unilocal are incorrect. Farrah’s closes at 9:00pm not 4:00pm. It’s a good thing too bc we were looking for a last minute place to eat. We got there at 8:30. I normally expect a bad food and/or service experience when we show up to a place half an hour before closing. This was not the case here. We had two servers, who were very adorable young gentlemen. They were very attentive 5+ stars for service. We ordered small hummus which was plenty and delicious for two. My husband ordered the lamb kebab with a side of fries and it came with green beans and white rice. His fries looked a little greasy but he said everything was good. I ordered the falafel wrap with a side of lentil soup. The wrap was huge and had a very tasty yogurt dressing inside with lettuce, tomato, and pickle. The wrap was enough for two people, I took half home. The soup was delicious too. All in all it was a great dining experience. We will be returning soon.

This was my favorite of all the restaurants I visited during my week in El Paso. First, I’m glad I read Unilocal reviews and saw it was back a bit from the road, behind an Asian restaurant. You’d never notice it if you were just driving down the street. I loved the ambience. Dark and quiet-which is good for a restaurant in the desert. There was only one server for the whole place(about 5 tables at the time I was there) but he kept up with everything somehow. I had baba ghanoush and falafel wrap. Both were great. The baba ghanoush was creamy and smoky, just like it should be. I got the small wrap and it was huge. I thought he got my order wrong at first but the check was right. I also heard other tables remarking on the size of their wraps. So be advised-it’s a lot of food.

I went around 6pm on a weekday and it was empty. The interior is nice and clean, but not a single person was there. I walked in and there was no one there to seat you. There were no waiters/waitresses either. All the workers were in the kitchen and I had to walk in there to get someone to notice I was there. Anyways, even with the weird and creepy entrance I got the gyro with a side of hummus and pita bread. The gyro is huge. Think of chipotle burritos but even bigger. The hummus was also amazing. You need to try it. Only knocking a star due to the weird vibe I got from the place.

Hidden behind Singapore Café, Salma Farah’s is a quaint little Mediterranean place. Trusting Unilocal reviews, we met Eric R.‘s cousin here for lunch. There was only one server, and the place was relatively busy for 2PM, but the service was good. We were given free pita and olive oil with za’atar to munch on while we waited for food. I ordered the kofte kabob with a side of tabbouleh. The kabob was HUGE and flavorful, topped with grilled onions, on top of rice. The tabbouleh was very good. It came with a side of green beans with tomatoes, which was a bit weird and not that interesting. Eric R. got the traditional combo, which was a square of kibbeh, meat-stuffed dolmas, and a pastry(fatayer) filled with spinach plus rice and green beans. He liked the dolmas and pastry but did not enjoy the kibbeh too much(too dry, he said). Our cousin ordered the lamb kebob with a side salad. He seemed to enjoy it and took what he did not finish home. We sat there long after we ate and had a leisurely chat. We never felt rushed to leave. The atmosphere is casual and I would return if I came back to El Paso.
