EXTREMELYPOOR customer service here! Your time, business and energy will be wasted. This review is based on the few shopping experiences I’ve had in this particular store. Without fail, and I don’t expect it, I’ve had negative encounters with a female worker. I will be posting her name as soon as I find out.(She is approx. 5’5″ with brunette hair, cannot remember if she wears glasses.) She has a bad attitude and non-existent customer service, both reflecting poorly on the brand. It would be even more of a shame if she’s part of their management. Going into more detail… I’ve been in and out within minutes and the shopping experience is still uncomfortable. This worker has followed and watched me shop. She has voiced her opinions on customers at loud volumes. The last visit I had here, she was voicing her opinion on me and I ignored it at first. Next, I’m next in line and she rushes to open a new register so she can ring me up. While ringing up the items, she begins to tell me, with an aggressive attitude, what I can and cannot do in the store and complains that this matter is corporate’s issue and not her’s. All while in front of other customer’s! I would understand more so if she had done this with discretion, but this was COMPLETELY out of line. To top it off, she tossed the receipt in front of her, instead of handing it over, as if what had already happened wasn’t enough. I was appalled and couldn’t believed what had happened at that point. I find Unilocal helpful and like hundreds of thousands of others out there, I turn to reviews prior to visiting stores, restaurants, etc. This pissed me off to the point that I had enough and wanted to share what I’ve experienced as well. This is my first Unilocal review, and from the looks of it, it was worth sharing. As a PAYING customer, I expect great customer service. If my business is not appreciated, such as in this scenario, then without hesitation I will go elsewhere. This worker is NOT an asset to Harmon, let her go!

Love the store itself but terrible shopping experience. The manager followed me around the store(I was only in there for a total of about 5 mins) I knew exactly what I needed to get, did not get a cart so I was carrying with my 2 hands, so I placed my phone in my purse — he follows me looking for anything to scan. I walk away, so does he. Says something to the cashier, I go up to scan my things about 10 things in total, pay, as I go to walk out the alarm goes off. I turn around to give her my bag WHICHSHEISALREADYWAITINGFOR, then proceeds to ask me if it went off when I came in. Said no, then she(short, small female w/glasses & a short ponytail) gives a huge attitude and says«go ahead» and walks off and begins talking to the same manager WHOHASNOWMADEHISWAYBACKUPTOTHECASHIER, AGAIN. Are you kidding me?! Too bad I own one of the stores in the same lot as them! and was trying to pick up last min stuff. Will definitely NOT be coming back here, and definitely will spread the word about this manager.

I absolutely love Harmons!!! It’s essentially a discounted drugstore that has various products like cosmetics, skincare, hair products, personal care, travel essentials, candy, and etc. They’re prices even beat Walmart and Target on a lot of items. The store is on the smaller side, but they don’t fool around when it comes to displaying their items. The walls are covered in merchandise and they take full advantage of their store capacity. It’s well organized and they have great service. I highly recommend coming here :) Located on a Strip Mall Has a Parking Lot

It’s a pharmacy minus the drugs. The prices are great on a lot of items. Haribo candy only $ 1.20! Definitely an excellent addition to an always improving mini-mall in Edgewater.

This place is the bomb! Some of the prices are better then Target(Shampoo and tooth paste) and really good prices on some home and personal care items. Your first visit will take at least a half hour because you will want to look at everything.

I recently moved back to Edgewater and am happily surprised at all the new stores that have opened up, especially in this flagging economy. The particular strip mall has been revitalized by the Trader Joe’s. Harmon Discount is a great beauty and drug store. I went in because my condo newsletter had a coupon for $ 5 off $ 25. The store is not huge but well laid out with a great selection of products. I think of Sephora = Bloomingdales, Ulta = Macy’s, Harmon = Target, Sally Beauty = KMart. I went in looking for nail polish; there is a huge selection at many different price points. But walked out with body butter, nail polish, nail buffer and a couple miscellaneous items. Harmon is owned by Bed Bath & Beyond so you know you can’t go wrong there. Service was great, sales people were friendly and knowledgeable and like their mother chain, Harmon stands by everything they sell. This is my new go to place, especially since they are open on Sundays, even in Bergen’s blue laws territory.
