I like this little place. It’s in the first plaza on the right, shortly after you cross Washington Road heading towards the airport. The plaza is definitely a shady spot, I wouldn’t go there by myself after sundown. The service was sloooooooow, kinda like you would get in some West Indian places, you know, they just kinda take their time but they’re nice folk. The food was hit or miss. Some items they do really well, others you just take it as a loss and move on. Basically it’s a meat and two sides with cornbread kinda joint but they also have wings, chicken finger platter, desserts, etc. The jerk chicken served with yellow rice was top notch, the blackened fish was a major fail. The wings were satisfactory and the sides were just ok. They had both soul food and Caribbean items on the menu such as oxtails, curry goat, jerk chicken and patties. Get there before 2pm and the combos are $ 6.99, after 2pm they’re $ 8.99. I’ll definitely try them again to explore their menu, especially when I don’t feel like driving all the way to Big Daddy’s.

This is a take out only spot for the most part. They have a pretty diverse southern menu with enough choices to satisfy your southern comfort food cravings. Try the chef salad or the ox tails, they’re great!!! Prices are reasonable and their lunch menu is a great value. It’s kind of tucked away but worth the effort.
