Ronzio Pizza & Subs

This is a good pizza place in a sea of bad pizza places. There are so many bad pizza places that I don’t understand how they stay in business. I guess some people just don’t know any better. Ronzio is a chain pizza place but they have a unique sauce and some very good specialty pizza’s. They also have some very good appetizers and have calzones. I have had the opportunity to try many items so I will tell you about them. The regular make your own pizza is very good with a nice sauce. My favorite specialty pizza is the Steak Arrabbiata. The combination of steak, cheese sauce, fresh vegetables, and hot peppers make this pizza delicious. My second favorite specialty pizza is the Florentine Chicken. The cheese sauce, chicken, spinach, and pizza cheese make this pizza taste decadent. I like to add feta cheese for another layer of flavor. My third favorite specialty pizza it the BBQ Chicken. The nice smokey BBQ sauce, grilled chicken, pizza cheese, and onions make this a savory treat. I love the make your own calzone. I like to take hamburger, pizza cheese, onion, and mushroom and have it baked into a calzone. The freshness of the pizza bread makes it so good. I do enjoy the chicken wings quite often. I prefer the buffalo style well done but if you like it more sweet the BBQ wings are very good. The mozzarella sticks are pretty standard and come with marinara sauce. The Fries and Onion rings are baked in the pizza oven and come out very tasty. The Garlic Twists are just out of this world if you are a fan of garlic and dip them in the sweet marinara sauce. I’ve tried the Cinnamon Sticks and they actually work with the pizza dough. Very nice sweet treat after a savory meal. Oh I can’t forget the party pizza. They rarely have some to grab on the go but if you like the RI party pizza they make if fresh and very tasty. I’m usually buying for one so I don’t use the coupons on the website but if I’m chipping in with friends I’ll use the coupons for large orders and the deals are pretty good. This location in East Greenwich is always very clean and when I pick up my order have a good record of having everything ready. The staff are usually very nice and can be very friendly. I’ve joked around with them a time or two. If you are in the neighborhood I recommend giving them a try.

If you need delivery, forget about it. Today is yet ANOTHER day where I have tried to order from them, this time at 9:00 AM for a 12:00 delivery. Nothing. I called (as I have had to do the last four times I ordered from them) and I was told that he had two big orders before mine (as he said the last four times as well). I responded that was why I ordered at 9… no response, other than «Is that OK?» with the implication that he would prefer that I cancel the order. The pizza is usually pretty good, not a lot better than many other local places here, but I have tried to order from work for delivery… I will not every again. I suggest you don’t get continuously disappointed as well.

Solid pizza joint with good specials. Friendly owner who has been there every time I have gone in there. The chicken pizza specialty pizza is darn good.

I ordered online. Estimated time was 20mins for pick up. When I arrived 20 minutes later to pick up the food, they haven’t even started on my order! They said they just got my order as I walked into the restaurant. It took another 20 minutes to wait for the food to be done.
