This is a pretty nice pizza place. Great coal fired pizzas and chicken wings. It’s not very crowded on weekends and have great deals on weekdays. The Staff is nice and service is very good. P. S. Check the out on groupon and living social they usually have good deals there. Enjoy!

Great place. A large selection of beers, both bottled and on tap. We started with the spinach ricotta dip. It was served oven hot with pieces of oven cooked bread. We then had the clam pizza That had clams potatoes and bacon. The crust was very thin and very light, unlike any I have had before. The pizza was like a clam chowder pizza. A large pizza was more than enough for two people. At $ 18 it was a fair value. I certainly would come again

Went here last night. Our server Devon was fantastic, he is trult a gem. We had the Edy pizza which had jalapeños and soppressada. Super good. The cocktails were delicious as well and the atmosphere is good for a date or a friends night out. I’ll come back!

We are huge fans of the Providence location but it can be difficult on a Saturday night so we were interested in this spot based on its ease of access and easy parking. While one of the draws of the Providence location is the atmosphere(casual & not overly loud), we were disappointed to see that this one was a bit different. The North Kingston location has a slightly different demographic(families & a slightly older crowd) which can result in a louder and less intimate time during busy nights. The most positive part is that we were pleased with the food. Same great taste and quality as the Providence location. Service was also excellent this evening. We just had one of the smartest waitresses. I inquired about Angry Orchard but they didn’t have it so she offered Down East Cider. I politely declined and had water instead. Shortly after, she arrived with a sample of the Down East Cider which was delicious and resulted in a sale. It cost them next to nothing but gained them a liquor sale and a big tip for the waitress. Overall, we have been pleased the last 2 visits to this location and will continue to visit as long as the quality of food and service are at this level.

Some of if not the best pizza I’ve ever had! Service was great also. Not much more to say. :)

I’ve been here a couple of times. The pizza is solid and the service is pretty good overall. There are also some decent appetizer options for those who prefer smaller dishes to enjoy. There is also a decent selection of wine and beer. So overall it’s a pretty good choice if you’re looking for a sit-down restaurant or a place to grab a drink after work or on weekends.

I’ve been the PVD location many times but didn’t realize there’s an NK location — until we purchased 2 of their Groupon offers($ 15 for $ 30). We went on a Tuesday night after running errands in Warwick and it was DEAD — which was good for us since we prefer bar seats. We got some draft beers from their wide selection, ordered some of their famously delicious wings(dry roasted with rosemary, sea salt, and roasted onions), and split a Conrad pizza. The food was exactly the same as the PVD location so it’s hard to really compare the 2, even the décor/interior vibe is the same. Nevertheless, its worth stopping in for a solid bite while getting yourself out of the Route 2 insanity.

Great wings. Great pizza. Nice ambience with the fireplace. Groupon has money-saving coupons for dine in. 2nd visit on 09 Jan: Wings were very good again.

I like this location much better than the Providence space. Feels more like a restaurant than a warehouse like downtown. We got there right as they opened on Sat. and were the only people in the place for a while so I cannot comment on how loud it gets. It is a pretty large space and it looks like they could handle big groups fairly easily. We ordered the lentil salad and the Margherita pizza. The salad was huge and all the fixins’ come sitting on a bed of hummus. The salad is served with some bread for dippin’. I have to say it was pretty darn yummy. The pizza came out cooked perfectly and had the right proportions of cheese. I hate getting this style pizza just to see it piled high with the mozz. I feel it could have used more of the julienned basil but over all was very good. The sauce was a little ‘strong’ for the style of pizza but still good. The pizza was crisp on bottom and the crust was nice and chewy. Granted, the place was empty but the waitress was friendly and attentive. I do think some of the prices for the pizzas is a bit high, especially for the size they come in. I’ve had the wings and some of the other appetizers at the downtown location. They are very good and that coal fired oven has some special magic going on in there. I know that the parking lot can be a bit tricky when they get busy. This alone has caused me to wait until well after they opened to visit.

Had a Groupon which brought me in. They had valet parking but we just parked right next door at Kingston Bowl as it was a short walk. The place is really nice inside with a huge bar and some high top tables. We ordered the Coal Fired Wings which had a great salty flavor but nothing overwhelming(not usually a salt fan so they did this perfectly) and amazing cooked onions on top, the Antipasto salad, and the Steak Pizza and added jalepenos. The salad was decent but I felt they could have had more meat and mozzarella cheese but it tasted great. The Steak Pizza was absolutely amazing. It was cooked perfectly and the flavors worked so well together. I don’t know if I will ever be able to deviate from the wings or that pizza because it was so delicious.

As always great pizza. Had Ricotta and Mozzarella. Cooked perfect. Service was quick and pizza was on the table in Ten minuted. Love this place.

Service was a little slow here when we came for lunch but the restaurant is good size. I think they were limited with the amount of workers. Pizza here is good but sort of expensive. I used a groupon when eating here which helps! The baked goat cheese is delicious but small for 4 people. We also got the pulled pork pizza, pepperoni, steak and the Conrad pizza. It’s definitely nice to have a restaurant like this in NK as there aren’t many restaurants we go to in this area. There is also plenty of parking!

Gotta say, I LOVED this pizza! Really good. A little pricey? Maybe. But the quality, flavor and everything about the pie is there. And I have an allergy to pecorino cheese so asked it be left off…“no problem!” the person that took my order said. Friendly, polite and I WILL be back. Very impressed! #worthit

I actually enjoyed my visit here. the service was fantastic, and the pizza was pretty good. However a large pizza, a small wings, and a bottle of wine was $ 80. Yikes! Now if I’m paying $ 80 for that order, I expect a ridiculously beautiful atmosphere, and a far out pizza. My atmosphere was a drunk dude at the bar, and fruit flies hovering over my food. We ordered the prosciutto pizza, and the ends were dry, for the price we paid I would’ve liked to have had the freshest prosciutto ever. If this was $ 50 it might of been fine, but the pizza was actually like a small-medium pizza. The price was too high for the return.

We’ve been to Providence Coal Fired Pizza twice now since it opened and were extremely happy with our visits both times! The restaurant has a fresh makeover from the last few failed restaurants that have been in this location and is welcoming and gives you the authentic pizzeria feel. There is a large bar, two distinct large seating areas, tons of TVs, and the large pizza oven is visible from many tables. Service has been good and the staff is friendly. We’ve tried the wings(out of this world!) and a few different flavors of pizzas(margarita, pepperoni, white) and all have been top notch. We look forward to coming back when the small back patio opens up(looks like it’s getting close to finished!) Tips: –They’ve had a lot of Living Social/Groupons($ 15 for $ 30 of food/drinks) since they’ve opened so check that out before you head over! –Sometimes parking can be a bit difficult on busy nights, so if it looks bad, drive past and park in the bowling alley next door to avoid the stress of the small lot that backs up to busy Post Road. –Reservations via OpenTable are a great perk for a large group or a busy night! –They have different specials on different nights of the week(½ priced bottles of wine on Tuesdays, ½ priced margarita pizzas on Mondays) that offer a good bargain.

So I have driven by this place a couple times and had purchased a Groupon $ 30 for $ 14. Picked up the wife after work and headed over their. I thought it was gonna be a pizza/bar type but driving up and seeing a guy who was parking cars for you I thought oh crappy it’s a fancy place. Very nice inside, clean and was busy for a friday. We got the magarita pizza and for a app spinach and ricotta dip with toasted bread. I’m not a fan of ricotta but this was good. Phone service was so so, had to go outside to get my Groupon up. I would definitely recommend this place to other people who want to try coal fire pizza.

So sometimes I’m an idiot. Plenty of times actually. We got in the car last weekend to head to Coal Fired in PVD because we had a Living Social Deal. I grabbed the deal to get the address to put in the GPS and whoops! The deal was for the new location. Road trip it is. Good location with ample parking. While the interior doesn’t have the same cool vibe as the Providence location, it’s not bad. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server came over quickly to greet us and let’s just say he was a bit awkward. I can be a bit socially awkward at times, so I felt bad for him, but dude shouldn’t be a waiter. His service was fine, but his comments to us resulted in uncomfortable laughs, awkward silence and me just cringing. I got the pear martini which is a favorite of mine at the Providence location and I’ll be honest, it did not measure up. It wasn’t awful, but it just wasn’t as good. We started with the hummus plate. Again, the edge goes to the plate in Providence. With a blizzard coming, we decided to order two pizzas for the two of us. Who wants to cook in a blizzard? Pizza is sort of bread, right? We went with the steak pizza and the meatball and ricotta. I’ve got to say, I think this locations wins in the pizza wars. I don’t mind the burnt char, but sometimes it’s a little too heavy at the Providence location and the crust on these was perfect and they loaded up the toppings. If I lived closer, I’d be a regular.

Rate this one, OK; but check back later. It doesn’t have the ambiance and really great layout of the Providence location, but on a rainy, miserable night its a whole lot more attractive choice than driving into the city. And though they’ve obviously got the recipes that are so successful at the spot in PVD, they aren’t quite executed will the same skilled hands. My order of the very tasty rosemary and onion wings had a few good wings, and a few that missed the seasonings, a few that were succulent and juicy in fact, and a few that were a bit tough. Get that mix of sea salt, rosemary, and roasted onions right, with the right amount of cooking, and they’ll be just as good as the others. Similarly, it seems the coal fired oven is taking a bit of getting used to as well. There was a whisp of smoke in the air, but not really worrying as a perfect pie should have a little bit of char. My pie however was pushed a little past done. The crust crisped up like a cracker, far to crisp to fold, and the slices of pepperoni were cooked to the point of curling, with a bit of char on top. In truth, its only been a week. I’m betting that they get it right soon enough.

I am very conflicted about Providence Coal Fired Pizza, after visting them for the 1st time at their NK location. PROS –Friendly people –Easy in and easy out parking –Good location close to my home –Better than having to go to Providence for them –Ridiculously good pizza CONS –Insanely expensive. $ 16 for a large plain pizza that is really 8 small slices that are gone in 2 – 3 bits is ludicrous. Seriously. A tube of lube should really come with the pizza. It was more like an appetizer, and wasn’t filling at all. –Having to go the the bar to pick up my order. I don’t want to have to near the drunken bar flies to pick up my order. If someone else is paying, I’m definitely going there again, but I can’t see myself going there again at those prices, its not going to happen.
