The plusses: super friendly staff, date-like décor, tons of toppings to choose from. The minuses: boring flavors and not many of them. Vanilla, chocolate, cookies & cream, cake batter, blah blah blah. Nothing special. And the Oreos were not authentic. I wanted to like this place more given how nice the staff were, but they need, frankly, better yogurt.

I’ve been wanting to go here for ages. Very green and white yogurt place. It has a great location in the Mid State Shopping Plaza. The girl who was working was friendly and helpful. They only serve a few yogurt varieties, but there should be something that you like. I had Angel Food Cake which tasted just like food cake. I also topped it with mocha!!! I’ve never seen that topping at any yogurt place. This is a cute place with a convenient location. Go get your fro-yo on.

I was excited to find a self-serve froyo in NJ, thinking the concept hadn’t made its way back east yet. Even better, it was right near where I’d just finished dinner. How convenient! But Green Cow turned out to be at the very bottom of my list. For starts, it’s a good thing it wasn’t crowded. Unlike other froyo joints, this one depends on the cashier to leave the register and stand near the yogurt dispensers with her little cups, and actually dispense a flavor for your tasting pleasure(or not). Heaven forfend if someone wants to pay for their yogurt while you’re trying to decide which of the uncreative and unappealing flavors to taste. This creates an urgency to pick one, any one. This is stress I don’t need. This procedure may be due to sanitary reasons, but when there’s only one worker in the store, it’s just ridiculous. There isn’t much of a selection. Out of the ten flavors available, one dispenser was out of commission. The rest were just boring. I tasted the Mint Chocolate Chip and it was completely without taste, vile actually. Then I noticed it was one of several«No sugar added» flavors, and I have to assume that all of these are yukky. I ended up with a mix of chocolate and cookie dough, and it was fair, but nothing to write home about. The store was freezing. It was cool outside, yet the AC was blasting inside. The clerk said«We have to keep the machines cool.» Yeah, right. We had to take our yogurt outside to be comfortable enough to eat it. Oh, and then there’s the price. I’m used to the many froyo vendors in Las Vegas, which range anywhere from 33 – 39 cents an ounce. Green Cow charges 49 cents. Maybe that’s normal for NJ, I don’t know. After reading other Green Cow reviews and learning that my beloved Yogurtland has actually made its way to the Garden State, I’ll be sure to hunt down one of those next time I have a froyo Jones. This, alas, was a woeful experience.

Holy Green Cow. This is the best yogurt I have ever had!!! Try strawberry. Yum! I talked to a manager and found out more about the quality of the yogurt. My quick recap is that it is a great quality yogurt that has less fat than custard or ice cream. I based my score on the taste!!!
