Sarah and her entire staff are awesome, definitely will be back. Great beer and good food.

Stayed at the Country Inn Suites across the street. Looking for a place to eat I thought that’s how convenient right across the street. They do not accept American Express which is kind of unusual on a business District, walking distance from hotels. Mashed potatoes had no flavor. No option for gravy. Vegetables were okay but cold. Fish was oily greasy non flavor. I could have ordered the wrong items. Service was okay. Menu is pretty pricey for bar food.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Cabelas arriving at 1130 so beat the rush. Seated right away, server was helpful with choices, and burgers were great.

We visited last Saturday evening at 8:30pm and the place was practically empty and the weather was dry and warm — so it wasn’t the weather keeping people away. The ambience was a sports bar but with a Great Lakes lodging and up north kind of feel. All of the tabletops were laminated with a Great Lakes lighthouse.
Major Pros: Service was fine from the greeting to exiting the restaurant. Beer was served fast and cold.
Major Cons: Menu spouts fresh-​this and hand-​breaded-​that, the fish is from the lakes, etc. Well, I am going to disagree. They had at least 3 different kinds of fish on the menu and I needed to have any one of them without the breading and all the «stuff’» they put on it or cook with it. After the waitress checked with the kitchen, they could not comply??? She said it was all «prepared» in advance??? That it comes that way to the restaurant?! O.K. How about the chicken? I gave it a shot. The kitchen either washed off the coating or it was soaking in a marinade all day. There is no possibility to eat healthy here at all. I am sure all the fried food and burgers were good. NOT HAPPY and will NOT be back.

Would like to have eaten here but I guess they didn’t want my money. Was seated by the hostess. It was clear that we were carrying coffee that we had purchased at Tim Hortons next door and the hostess didn’t say a word however the server says we can’t stay with outside drinks even though we planned to order beers with our dinners. Server claims it is a health code violation however I looked it up and it isnt. Just figure 16.99 for the shrimp dinner and 12.99 for the meatloaf, couple if beers and you lost your tip, and cost a customer for the boss. BTW Bob Evans had cod dinner and it was good.

Not a bad atmosphere. Good waitresses and hostess, and everything was very clean. I ordered some kind of chicken and got some mad food poisoning. My friend ordered something else and seems to be fine. I most likely won’t be going back…

A great meal with a coconut Porter! Briana gave us very good service. The ribeye is very nice.

I’ve been driving by this place for years but never stopped in until tonight. It was everything I had hoped for and more! Everything was reasonably priced and the waitresses were very attentive. My girlfriend ordered the black bean burger and I ordered the fried fish. It was without a doubt the best fish I’ve had since 2010 when I was visiting Scotland.
Will definitely be back as soon as we can.

Food is bellow average, staff is miserable and unfriendly. Bartender is worst I’ve ever meet.

We had a great time here tonight! My fiancé had the ribeye which was amazing. The favor of it made my mouth water. I had the Great Lakes perch. It was really good. Each of our meals came with two sides. Their mashed potatoes were amazing and so were the sautéed vegetables. The service was excellent. Our waitress was really nice.

Mediocre ribs, a little on the dry side slathered with tons of baby ray’s bbq sauce. Beer section was decent, bacon cheese fries were good. Service was great.

Stopped in for Taco Tuesday. Excellent. Sam (short for Samantha) my waitress was very friendly. Lots of locals. Cubs playoff game on 3 TV’S. I highly recommend stopping here if you are traveling thru.

Let’s start with the staff… They make the experience with their «I’m happy to be at work» attitude. Never a negative attitude. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Now the food… You wouldn’t expect to get awesome shrimp, but the Tempura shrimp is to die for. Besides the eight jumbo, and I mean jumbo shrimp you get two sides. Their steaks are done to perfection, never over cooked. And let’s not forget about wing night. The Thai chili lime is the best in my opinion but the BBQ and sesame are good too. I recommend this place to all my friends. And if you love Michigan craft beers this is the place for you. They always have a minimum of 10 on tap… Go and experience the wonderful dining experience…

Was stressing over where to eat. Was staying at the Holiday Inn without a car. I’m in the restaurant business and I would recommend this place. Forget all the other reviews. I’m from out of town and have nothing to gain by giving a good review. My girlfriend had the perch and I had the ribeye. Everything was great and cooked perfectly. Glad we chose this place. Say hi to George at the bar if you stop in.

Great service from a lovely young lady on the ball but the food was so-​so to yucky – although it was all served hot. Great selection of drafts and crafts.
The berry cider tasted artificial, the Cheboygan grapefruit had to have been watered down, the pumpkin ale was ok although very sweet. Dragon’s Milk was very good. Sampler served on a cute wooden figure of MI — but in plastic cups?! Seriously?
Cod was good, perch was dry, onion rings were great, cole slaw meh/​bland, baked beans good, chicken nuggets gross, kids cheeseburger dry with a really cheap bun. This food was all over the place but net result was: not impressed. Probably won’t return, even for the beer selection.

I’m not sure what the negative reviews were all about, but I ate here every night for a week and it was great. The servers were always polite and attentive to me. Taco Tuesdays are a great deal, and they are very tasty.

Passed by here many times, thought about stopping in but didn’t. Heard about the $ 6.99 lunch special and that was incentive enough to go.
Loosely feints at being a sports bar. TVs positioned to be viewed from any seat in the house, scattering of sports memorabilia on the wall, along with a couple of fishing poles as a nod to Cabelas next door. Dining room is very open, lots of space between tables.
Managed to pass up the $ 2 margaritas (Tuesday special) as well as the excellent selection of craft beer taps – work awaited after lunch – and ordered the meatloaf sandwich. A great value for 7 bucks. The meatloaf slice was good sized, very flavorful, with just a whisper of garlic to it. Cheddar and fried onions that came on it were all the sauce it needed. Coleslaw on the side was too sweet for my taste, but I still ate every speck of it.
Great Lakes could make the restrooms easier to find. They’re in a nook at the rear of the restaurant whose entrance isn’t easy to see from some seats, and there’s no sign directing diners to them.
Having located them (with only a bit of confused wandering), my next visit here should be better still.

Awesome food. Hands down. Everyone in our large party of 16 LOVED their food. That is not easy to do with ease and we never saw them sweat. Great sampler option for craft beer drinkers. 4 7oz. pours for about $ 8. And there were 23 beers to choose from, including Atwater and Bells. Service was effecient. Leftovers were just as good the next day. Live music was a nice touch on Sat night.

On 8÷5÷14 I had the California Burger and my lady had the western burger.
I only have 1 burger a month so I have a tendency to remember it well in terms of good or bad.
These burgers were well above average, and my MARGARITAS were delicious too. Tried strawberry, regular, peach, mango.

A plate of juicy breaded… Wings? No!.. Chops? No! — Frog legs. Who could have thought. Some of best frog legs I ever tasted. Accompanied by quite decent sweet potato fries with marshmallow dipping sauce.
I was a bit nervous stopping at a «local bar and grill» on the side of interstate with kids, but the place is clean, full of natural light and big screens to watch a game, any game. Menu includes Great Lakes catch and more conservative staple sandwiches. Friendly and fast service. Nice safe find for a traveling Unilocaler.
