We have been to the Rivers Edge many times and have always had great food and wonderful service. The pizza and wraps are fantastic and the Barbecue Pulled pork is the best! Try the Sangria!

If you were thinking of hitting a chain restaurant, stop what your doing and head here instead. Awesome appetizers, killer pizza, and great sandwiches. Top it off with $ 3.75 for tall drafts of Fat Tire Beer, I wanted to stay the night. Appetizers were huge, forcing us to take food back to the hotel for the midnight snack. In addition, we reached out to the owner via Unilocal to make sure they had food our daughter could eat and he responded timely(thank you). Not a ton of seating so consider an early dinner here or take-out and enjoy back at the hotel. You won’t be disappointed visiting this local establishment.

Have been here a few times now. This place is great. Beer selection is very good and not overwhelming. Pizza was delicious. Daughter had fish and chips, very good. My son had bbq pork covered with Mac and cheese. Excellent idea. Waitress, Tamara I think, was very good and attentive. Highly recommend this place.

One word… YUM! Gino’s in south Toledo has always been my favorite, but after having the cheesy bread and pizza from rivers edge, I’ve found my new favorite! It’s small and usually busy, but we’ve always been fortunate to get a table without much of a wait.

The pizza and service was both pretty good. I had a small hand tossed with jalapeño peppers, garlic, and black olives. The cheese they use was perfect. I also enjoyed the crust and even though I’m accustomed to flavored ones this one was great plain. The chicken dip appetizer was just ok in my opinion. I was hoping it would have been spicier. If I lived in the area this would be in the regular rotation. It feels a little divey but not in a bad way.

Had a dinner here with colleagues this week. Nice staff. Good onion soup, fresh salad and excellent fish and chips. The atmosphere is very casual with many locals in presence. A fun place.

Food was okay. Had a burger, it was good except the bacon was very grizzly, like it was out of a cheap supermarket package. Onion rings and pickle chips were a little mushy, but tasted good. Ranch was okay with the pickles, but some type of zesty sauce would have gone better. All in all, it was good.

We ate here a few weeks ago and I had a perch sandwich. As a perch fan, it was so good I knew I had to come back for the perch dinner, and I wasn’t disappointed. The perch in the dinner were perfectly cooked, seemingly freshly breaded and not pre-breaded and frozen. This will be my future spot for the fish. My wife has now had the Gorgonzola and pear salad, which she likes a lot but has now twice expressed disappointment that the pears were the canned variety. Fresh pears would make such a big difference, especially when they are so locally available in the summer, she says. I must also say the waitstaff was very good. There was always a smile and they really seemed to care.

We went based on reviews and we’re not disappointed. We ordered an appetizer of buffalo wings which were delicious and then shared a small Chicago style pie. OMG it was awesome.

Amazing Chicago style pizza. Nice, small pizza joint with great service and awesome food. We overheard a customer brag about his cheeseburger and how the patties were hand-made not processed patties.

So your visiting Dundee and your in your hotel room trying to figure out what’s to eat and, drink besides the corporate hub bub you saw coming in. So you’re on here looking. We’ll if it’s Pizza your hungry for… then here is your spot. Sandwiches, wraps, pasta Motsacolli it’s all here. But it’s the Pizza that’s the cats meow in this town. The dining room gets full but you can take out if you cannot wait. Tell em Yukon Jim sent ya. Stay hungry my friends.

I’ll admit I have only had their pizza and spaghetti, but both have had me happily making the three hour round trip for almost ten years!

Better but I still won’t be back… After I posted my original review, the owner Gary J. immediately sent me a Unilocal message explaining that they do a Chicago style stuffed pizza — that it is not a true Chicago deep dish, and it was watery because they use a lot of fresh mushrooms. There was a lot of explanation, an apology and offer for a free pizza. I appreciated it and tonight took him up the offer. I’m happy to report that the pizza tasted much better this time but was still thin and lacked cheese and toppings. This one had pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper and onion. It wasn’t watery this time though it does not look like what others show in their pictures. It was a good pizza but it wasn’t worth the $ 21 price tag they ask for the self proclaimed ‘best stuffed pizza’. It was seriously a pan pizza with sauce on top. I’m giving 3 stars as the counter service was fast and good, and I appreciate the owner reaching out. And it was tasty. Maybe you need to order a small one or be a regular or get lucky, but I won’t be back to find out.

Classic dive meets diner with decent pizza. Let me share my experience. I dined with my wife, 4 year old daughter and sleeping 1.5 year old boy at 1:10 in the afternoon on a Friday. The place had just two tables available, both dirty and waiting to be bussed and wiped down. Our server was working the floor alone, though the kitchen seemed staffed well. This resulted in our food coming out quickly, but order taking far too long to go in. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Situated in historic downtown Dundee, we were spoiled with curbside parking. When we walked in, I immediately noticed the dated yet surprisingly well kept interior. The booths were roomy which was appreciated, as my son was asleep and able to stretch completely out comfortably. There was a kids menu available with games and crayons as well.(Hint: Kids 10 and under eat FREE on Tuesdays with adult purchase.) The menu is all over the place. We opted for the Buffalo Chicken Dip with tortilla chips for a starter. This was nearly $ 8, I believe. It wasn’t bad, just overpriced by about $ 2 for what it was. It reminded me of when I decide to crock pot something I see on Pinterest. It’s edible, but that’s it. Definitely not a re-do. Just a starter though, not a huge deal. For lunch we ordered a Kitchen Sink Pizza. This was good. I can’t compare it to a Tiffany’s yet, as I am a Mary Sacco kind of guy, but it is definitely a solid pizza. Crust isn’t too doughy and is baked fairly well. The sauce wasn’t overbearing like with many places around here. Next time I will try a Chicago deep dish and/or The Sicilian, but for a $ 12 medium, not bad at all. Oh, and fair warning, they carry a limited number of Pepsi products, which is only excusable with Coke, of course. Decent little place, justifiable prices for the most part. We walked out for only $ 26 and some change, before tip. We will be back.

Our pizza was a little disappointing. I had been craving a River’s Edge pizza, because in the past they were the best around. We ordered a kitchen sink pizza, and it just wasn’t that good. It was kind of mushy, and a bit watery. It didn’t seem like it was cooked long enough, and the crust was very thin. We also ordered a dozen wings, which were delicious! They were crispy, flavorful and I would definitely order them again. The service was great. Waitress was friendly and efficient.

Two waitresses waiting on too many tables, but they kept their cool, were friendly, and attentive! Very nice! I had the chicken fajita wrap. Delicious, hot, filled with chicken. The homemade chips are really good too! My husband had soup and a Reuben. He said both were tasty and hot. Definitely enjoyed our lunch!

My husband and I just got back from River’s Edge in downtown Dundee. We have an interesting story of our day actually… We were on our way back from finding out the sex of our baby and had decided that we would have the ultrasound tech put the picture with the sex of the baby in an envelope and take it to a restaurant and have them suprise us with a dish or dessert with the sex. So I felt a little weird at first but I gave the waitress the envelope and since we were ordering a pizza asked if they could put it on the pizza or a dessert of some sort. She was totally into it(at least if she thought we were crazy she hid it VERY well!), and after bringing it back to the kitchen said they would be able to do it on the pizza. We waited very diligently for the pizza trying to make small talk and finally it came out. On top in banana peppers it spelled BOY! They also gave us a cute little blue tshirt for doing our gender reveal there. I was super nervous about going to a random restaurant and having them think we were crazy or stupid so the fact that they were pretty into it was sweet! On top of all that the pizza was delicious and cheap! We got a large pizza half«kitchen sink» and the other half«vegetarian.» It was all delish and makes for great leftovers. Now we’ll always have very fond memories of the place :)

This little place is located about 1 mile east of Cabela’s, in charming downtown Dundee. I like the atmosphere of both the town and the restaurant. I’ve been here three times and the bottom line is that the pizza is excellent. I’m a «sauce, crust and cheese»(and ass, BTW) man. Great toppings are cool too, but for me, pizza is all about the sauce, the crust, and the cheese. In each of these three categories River’s Edge Pizza comes out on top. Sauce: It’s home made, tangy and not particularly sweet. There’s plenty of it, too. Because it tastes great, this bold sauce doesn’t have to hide under the cheese or the toppings. Hell baby, this is MANLY pizza sauce! When this sauce walks its big ass into a room, you KNOW it has a-rrived! Crust: Hand tossed, soft, foldable and a little fluffy. Cooked perfectly around the edges on three occasions. The crust is the Yin to the sauce’s Yang. BTW, they also have Chicago style pies, that I have NOT yet tried, yet. Cheese: Flavorful and plentiful. There’s quite a bit of cheese, too; maybe too much, as the pizza is a bit greasy. Personally, I like it better that way, but I can see where someone might complain. We’ve gone there on a Friday and Saturday evening. Both times, the place was packed. But, we were seated promptly, the pies came out quickly, and the waitresses were very friendly. They have enough booze, too. I’ll be back for sure.
