This place is TERRRIBLE… only thing decent… and that is a stretch… is their shakes… I could make better food at home. The food was COLDANDDRY. The tater tots were cold and undercooked. The hot dogs were WAYUNDERCOOKEDANDTOUGH. I see the Sonic commercials and the food doesn’t EVER look like that. I could buy frozen food that would turn out better. Make better quality food or hire new cooks.

Extremely slow service almost 45 minutes and still no burger. Lady on the telecom sounded completely miserable. To top it all off, they got my order wrong. Definitely not the best service. Best part of the transaction, the gentleman delivering our food even if it was wrong

Ordered four orders in drive through. ALL four were incorrect. Food was cold. Nothing was fresh. The burger was a cold, dry, over cooked tasteless and sad example of a burger. If that burnt puck would have been freshly burned, my cheese would have been melted.

Ordered two shakes first day of summer. Double oreo, and butterfinger. Wait time was average of 7 – 10 mins. Ice cream shake was bomb and had lots of tastyness. We got medium, but small size is just as good. Def coming back

My boyfriend and I just drove 30 minutes from downtown LA specifically for sweet Asian chili wings just to find out it was closed? On Google it says that they are open till 2 am. Looks like they are filming some kind of movie. I am so disappointed! I had to take my business to Tommy’s.

Came here on a random craving for chili cheese tots, which are awesome but the waiting time from the minute you press the red button to actually getting your food, takes way to long. Also, they didn’t give us napkins with our order. If your in a rush this isn’t the place to get fast food. Other than that I still like sonics.

I’ve been to Sonic in other places in the US but I was excited to to go to one that was nearby. In the past, I loved they’re fun drinks and the crunchy good ice the most. This time around, I ordered a limeade and pineapple drink. Super sweet … Order only if you like your drinks in the sweeter side. With the Unilocal check in a large drink is $ 99. I also ordered the onion rings, super oily !! It’s fast food ! If you want to have some fun and treat yourself to an sweet treat go to Sonic.

Not too crazy for most of the food, every time doesn’t seem to impress. My kids like it so I come more fore them, only saving thing are the tots and drinks, burgers are usually so so not great, the chicken sandwich I had was dry, hot dogs are good especially the Chicago dog. I also must say the wait for our food was excruciatingly slow, not sure why when it wasn’t very busy yesterday. Also the ordering system must be very bad sound quality because the girl could hear my order till I’ve repeated it two Thre times each item.

Well it was Sunday around 1 and it was my 1st time here. I parked in the stall and ordered the pretzel dog and strawberry cheesecake milkshake and tater tots. My order came promptly in 5 – 6 min. The carhop was a nice young man named Nathan. I didnt have to wait long like others have reviewed.

I wish I could give NEGATIVESTARS!!! This is my last time I will ever come here. I am writing this as I sit in the car with my baby and my fiancé went up to the window to order. It has been 50MINUTESANDCOUNTING! I would have left by now but fiancé is waiting and complaining now. This is the third time this has happened. We came here once when it was empty and we still waited an extremely long time. I’m extremely mad right now.

On our drive home from Medieval Times in Buena Park, my wife had a craving for a root beer float. And spotting a Sonic Drive-Thru off of the 210, we exited and made our way over. Our first time at Sonic, last year we pulled into the one in Anaheim but never ordered and ended up at a Red Robin. We weren’t in anyway hungry, having just feasted, but being that it was a considerably warm day we wanted something cool and refreshing. She was set on a root beer float. And although not on the menu, they accommodated her with no problem. I went for the coconut cream pie shake. After maybe a 15 minute wait, our friendly young lady server finally skated to the window with our orders. And on first sipping mine, I was quite disappointed with what was a very mediocre impression of coconut cream pie. Weak! The most I could recognize from a coconut cream pie, was little crunchy bits of what I assume was pie crust. Nothing very coconutty at all! And my wife wasn’t very impressed with her root beer float either. But they were something cool. Well, so much for trying Sonic.

I ate lunch at this Sonic Drive-In in Duarte, CA on 4÷8÷2016. It was my 1st time there. I had their combo #7: Footlong Coney, Tater Tots Med, and Coke Medium — for $ 6.29($ 6.89 with tax). I ordered via the menu board and had the food brought out to me on skates by Christine. Good food and great service. Plus, I took photos.

I like sonic in general and this one is located exactly halfway between my home and my aunts house, so every time we head out that way, we stop by sonic. They have a ridiculous menu that goes from grilled cheese sandwiches to pretzel dogs, hamburgers and French toast. The food is a little better than the regular fast food, but not anything to go crazy over. What gets me is there unparalleled menu of drinks. Their signature limeades are unique and different. Then they have 3 distends types of slushes, standard, real fruit and their“famous” slushes… In their“frozen zone” they have hand mixed shakes and malts, master shakes and«premium creamery shakes» featuring slow churned ice cream. Then they they just change the game with SONIC blasts(their version of a McFlurry) and when that’s not enough, try one if their master blasts which are so thick, an hour later I was still unable to get a full so through the straw!!! This place is great!

Came here around 3pm. It was quite busy. Took about 15−20min wait to get our orders. Ordered limeade: 2 strawberry and 1 cherry. Overall, it was aight. The drink quality was simply inconsistent. How can two strawberry limeades taste and look so different? One lacked strawberry flavor and almost any resemblance of. It just tasted like Sprite. The other had a stronger strawberry flavor with some pieces of strawberry in it. The cherry was mediocre. I don’t know what’s going on. Friendly service though. I guess I didn’t really have a supersonic day.

First time trying sonic. One word TERRIBLE. i should have listened to the reviews lol. Ordered double cheeseburger/tatter tots/fries/oreo peanut butter shake. Burger bun was hard… wtf? Patty was dry… wtf? Fries were mushy and below warm. Tots were mushy and below warm as well. Only thing decent was the shake. But it was nothing special. Workers here prob doesnt care and just give cutomers terrible quality food. Never again… sorry sonic

First thing is first, the commercials are so much more cooler than the actual location. First, the service is super slow so hope you and your group have a lot of patience or pop out your smart phones to keep you entertained if you plan to eat there. They do have a lot options for«raspados» or slushies. So best time to enjoy a cold beverage drink is during the summer! As for the food it is as good as it can only get. The chicken sandwich tastes pretty good and get some tater tots(they may just take you back to the good old school days). If you are not feeling a slushie, then go for the milkshake! They are pretty good!

(Dined 01÷10÷16SU @ 3:45pm): That sonic boom was the sound of change dropping because that’s all you really needed to eat here! After a losing day at Santa Anita Park, two long-time friends I was hanging with suggested Sonic Drive-In only minutes away. This wasn’t the first time these two fools suggested an eating excursion to a Sonic — and I’ve actually only had their sweet shakes and slushies but never their food — so dejected and«penniless» I was game this time around. Was inexpensive fast food just the thing this currently light-in-the-pocket sick Island Boy needed?! Sweetened Green Tea — Medium Size($ 1.05HH) — WTH…50%-off Happy Hour prices on all drinks from 2:00pm-4:00pm?! I felt like a winner with this unexpected deal, and the drink wasn’t too bad either with its light sweetness although I doubt it was anything made«fresh» and more from a powder mix at best. Coca Cola — Medium Size($ 1.05 ea. x 2HH + $ 0.20 Added Cherry Flavor) — My two buds were soda drinkers so why the heck not?! Corn Dogs($ 0.99 ea. x 3HH) — Another surprising HH offering from 2:00pm-4:00pm, who didn’t like corn dogs especially at this price?! «Standard» in size(slightly longer than the palm of my hand), the breading was a dark bronze tan color and not too thick while the beef dog was nicely cooked and not dry. Great price that filled out bellies! Chili Cheese Tater Tots — Large Size($ 3.69) — A childhood favorite still to this day, these spud droppings were fresh, hot, moist, and messingly covered in a swath of canned chili and cheese sauce. Each piece oddly dissolved in my mouth(mmm!); but honestly, we needed a hell of a lot more chili and cheese coverage because I didn’t want any tots to be naked! Shame the toppings weren’t homemade. Garlic Parmesan Seasoned Jumbo Popcorn Chicken — Family Size($ 8.19) — The appearance was unappealing and looked like they were just emptied from a frozen package in the freezer. Once you got past that, the seasoning was finger-licking decent albeit lacked in garlic and on a more dusty powder level. Each piece was more nugget than popcorn and perfectly fit into the various dipping sauce packets we requested. The meat was moist and torn apart easily. But I couldn’t get over the fact that I’m pretty sure these were the frozen kind. Service — Since we used the car-hop service, we ordered through the menu squawk box on the driver’s side, the female-voiced order-taker repeated our order, displayed it up on the screen, and in about five minutes a young fellow WALKEDNOTSKATED out with our nourishment. We all paid with cash, he kept the change, he gave a «thanks», and off he went for the next order. Easy as pie! Parking(Free) — They had their own private lot, car-hop spots, as well as a drive-thru. Otherwise, they were located in an outdoor shopping center with plenty of spaces in case all of theirs were taken. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — A tribute to 50’s era car-hops and drive-thrus, this was exactly that in nearly every way EXCEPT the problematic absence of hot rollerskating female waitresses… but I digressed since this day-and-age was all about safety — golly gee willikers, Batman! There was an exposed yet covered medium outdoor seating area(no indoor seating) with a nearby walk-up order window. Obviously, plenty of natural lighting with enough electric lighting when the nighttime came. The walls of the structure were free of any posted items. There were no TVs nor background music. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops…if it weren’t so freaking cold! Overall, Duarte’s Sonic Drive-In was adequate at best and would only visit again if my friends wanted to, in which cased I’d order either a shake or slushie which have been good at other locations I’ve gone to. As a first-timer to their food, it satiated the hunger at affordable prices, but again, I wasn’t a fast food fan. And, how the fuck were they out of onion rings?! Why didn’t they just send a runner to a nearby Costco or something since that’s what we pretty much ate, right?! Other menu items of note were burritos, burgers, fries, and sandwiches. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(TOTAL paid experience was around $ 20.00BEFORE tip). And, although we paid in cash, they accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX! 3.0STARS

I always love coming here for Happy Hour, mainly for their drinks! It’s half off drinks daily from 2 – 5 pm. I always get the extra large size because its so good and because its so much cheaper! I love the Strawberry Limeade, especially since they add strawberry bits to it! So delicious and so refreshing, I highly recommend ordering this drink if you are unsure of which limeade to order. Pretty much when you arrive to Sonics, you park in an available parking slot, order your food and pay all in the convenience of sitting in your car. Afterwards a Sonic’s employee will skate over with your order and you’re all set! This is the next level to your average drive thru ordering. Last time we ordered the large Chili Cheese Tater Tots which were really good. The funny thing was that the employee who brought over our order knew it was not the correct item we ordered and asked us to look inside and verify whether or not they were Chili Cheese Tater Tots(they were actually french fries). He brought the order back and brought us out the correct order. I was surprised they couldn’t get the correct order right the first time, but I’m glad the employee asked us to check or I would’ve probably driven off with it. Overall, definitely a must try, but be sure to come during happy hour time! So anytime between 2 – 5 pm!

TL;DR… Only good for drinks, food is meh. If the drive-thru is long you better go somewhere else because even dine-in is gonna take forever. Only $ 1.58 for a 44OZ drink! After shopping at Target and coming out to 95 degree weather, I seriously needed a drink. Then, I remembered that Sonic’s has happy hour from 2pm-5pm everyday with 50% off of drinks and slushes. The drive through looked terrible so I decided I would just walk on over and order from the DIY order area by the front. This is where it gets bad. The first DIY machine/order taker machine thing I go to seemed like it didn’t work. I pushed the little red button two to three times with no answer from the inside to take my order. I sit around and wait, someone else goes up to it and pushes the button and someone finally answers. He allows me to order first, so I order my Route 44 which is a 44oz cup. HUGE!!! Finally. I place my order and wait… and wait… and wait… It took them fifteen minutes to give me my drink. At this point, my throat is parched. The drink was refreshing and really quenched my thirst. But I don’t think I will ever go again if the drive through is that crazy cause that’s probably why it took so long. As for their food, to me it is nothing special. I’ve tried their chili cheese tater tots and still prefer Weinerschnitzel. Their chicken sandwich is a bit bland and I would rather have Burger King or Carls Jr. PASS.
