Patty was my server at the moment and she was really great in service, I recommend her as a waitress. They should have more waitresses like her he was the best!

Love coming here! Every time I come here I order a michelada with shrimp and fish tacos. It’s a cool little spot. It pretty small and tight so it gets busy in here. Sometimes there is a line but so worth the wait. They have unique drinks and good music.

Have used better chips. they tastes almost stale. Wings were okay wish they were bone less though. Service was pretty fast and the guy who served us was helpful & constantly asked if «everything was okay» which was dope.
Although they gave me the wrong beer in my michelada since they had made it already I felt bad telling them that’s not the beer I wanted so I still drank it. The drink was pretty good I just wish they would have brought out mine and my bf drinks before the food had got there not at the same time. The rest rooms are pretty gettho and tagged up they should take the time and money in remodeling them.

Service was bad and slow. This is the second time comming here and was probably as bad or worse than the first one. We ask for tacos and wings. It took them about 1hr for them to bring the food to us. Once we got our food, the wings were burned (like ⁸⁄₁₂). Drinks are okay and prices are not bad. That’s the only reason I gave them 2 stars.

I decided to make a quick stop on a Sunday since I was in the area for a pick up at Portos, which is right across the street. I’ve had this place bookmarked for some time as I love me some Micheladas and thought it would be a great idea.
What a disappointment!
My bf and I walked in as we were greeted by a waitress. We said table for 2, as she directed us to an over crowded, bumping elbows with neighbors type of tiny table in the center, because the side tables were for a party of 4 only. On my way to the table I bumped someone with my purse, to whom I then proceeded to say «excuse me.» I was already not impressed. This is the type of establishment that squeezes as much as possible in without regard to customer service, or personal space for that matter.
Anyways, we sat down as our neighbor reached into our table to remove the napkin holder since they had placed it on our table due to lack of room. (Ummm, excuse you?) My neighbor should not be able to easily be in my business or reach into my table because we are THAT close. This is a Latino business, so I’m used to the poor floor layouts, but what really did it for me, was the lack of attention.
We sat for a few minutes watching the game that was on the small screens around the walls…10 mins went by, no one had taken our order. We talked some more… another 5 minutes. My bf had had it. I convinced him to stay an extra 5 minutes… and as we hit the 20 minute mark of no order, acknowledgement or any type of service, we got up and left.
If you haven’t been, you’re definitely not missing out.

Will definitely come back! Patty was awesome and took care of us, very satisfied! Great customer service.

Me and my friends usually come on Thursday today obviously is a busy day since Mexico is playing but usually while we are in line they take our order while we wait they’ve been taking everyone’s order but ours so this time they’ll get two times maybe the next time if they’re more attentive I will review again

Original bar. Get varieties of michilladas. Definitely coming back. Great place to come with friends.

Bomb shrimp cocktails and micheladas! Jesus is so awesome too! The music is great and good vibes! Aqua chile is delicious

It’s was my first time to ²⁰⁄₂₀ it’s was koo music n vide but the wait was to long and unorganized to be seated so if u come prepare to wait for a kool min. They stop serving micheladas at 1030 even tho we sat down at 1020 they didn’t want to sever us, it was my friends bday n we already had bought bucket to drink n left a coo time before we got seated. Sadly to say I won’t go back my friend said this is the sec time it happen to her

Friendly service. Paty our waitress es muy amable. #PLAYBOY is a great choice to try a variety of micheladas. Not pricey. Great place to have sushi and mexican food all in one roof…

I’m adding my review as follows:
Service — nobody ever approached us to ask if everything was tasting ok, even though there was only two more tables occupied.
Drinks — I ordered «la simple» and it was more lemon that anything, I put an whole beer in the cup and was still only tasting lemon. I was unable to drink it.
Food — I ordered the ²⁰⁄₂₀ shrimp tacos, the tacos were only the tortilla and cabbage! I had 3 small shrimps in the tacos!
Tostadas — the tostada chip tested like a mix of old and fried in way too much oil.
Nacho fries — the carne asada was too salty and burned, the cheese was so watered down it was almost tasteless.
Will definitely not come back!

Well I must say really good spot for michelada I will come back and have Paty assist us.

Wow. Our first and last visit.
I came in here with my wife for a little celebration. As I walked in past the bathroom I stopped for a pit stop. The restroom was gross. Toilet full messy, liquid (water, urine?) on the floor. Not a good first impression.
Exiting the restroom, I walked the short hall and was greeted by music the was way too loud. I couldn’t hear myself think. We sat at the bar. I felt like we were invisible as people walked by us and never even looked at us. (The invisible couple?)
I was looking at the beers and it seemed they were mostly Mexican Beers but I guess for a Mexican Grill that would be appropriate. I saw they had tequila too.
When I finally got someone’s attention she stopped and looked at me like I was interrupting her. I asked for the wine list and she said, «we don’t have wine.» So they have beer, and tequila but no wine.
We decided not to damage our ears any more with the music and people yelling and walked out into the peaceful quiet to find a glass of wine and a nice appetizer or two.
Definitely not a place for me.

For a place that specializes in micheladas i was surprisingly disappointed… my phone was dead so my friends googled the place and closing time was 12AM (midnight) so we get there around 10:20 — 10:25. We’re told the kitchen is closed but we don’t mind because there is an in n out across the street, so were seated and we order three micheladas and a bucket (six pack) of modelos. Once they drop them off we were informed that they were closing jn 20 minutes so we had to drink our beers fast, that would’ve been okay if we only got the micheladas but now we have to drink another six beers in 20 minutes? Talk about lame, the micheladas were okay but nothing mind blowing, the group playing was pretty decent but it’s not worth the time and effort to get here if you’re not local.
It’s small and some what crowded and ghetto, the group of ladies next to us had a fucking baby with them, I would definitely be embarrassed to bring a non ghetto date/​friend here, will I be back? Probably not because they can’t get their hours correctly posted online and the fact that the server saw three of us order 3 micheladas (with two beers in them) and a six pack with only 20 minutes to close and didn’t say anything about it. Luckily we managed to chug the last two beers as the security guard (he was actually very cool and definitely deserves to be mentioned) was making his final rounds.

Can I just say this spot rocks!!! I was a bit apprehensive to check it out because it isn’t in the greatest area but it was definitely worth it. Talk about michelada heaven! Every kind of michelada you could imagine adorned with festive garnishes. From shrimp to mangoes, salty to sweet, my taste buds were going crazy. The best part was the tamarind stick, which made you feel like you got dessert with your drink. The place was packed but the customer service was still on point. I can’t wait to go back and try even more!

Mmmmmmm, their La Reyna michie is everything.
Admittedly I took off the frozen tasting mangoes and that candy lollipop thing, but the shrimp and the candy on the straw was sooooo good! I got it with a regular Modelo and really liked it bc it was sweet. I also got the oysters which were oysters– always yum!
I read reviews for this place and was honestly expecting the worst in terms of service and location and I really don’t get all the salt. Location isn’t ghetto, the restaurant isn’t ghetto, and the service was amazing. The only thing that was not amazing were some of the patrons.
We got seated right away, our orders taken shortly after, then food/​drinks arrived. They came by regularly to clear off our table anytime we finished anything. Everyone (staff) was polite and friendly.
Their music is ridiculously loud– you absolutely cannot hear someone across the table unless they’re really raising their voice. Other than that, not really sure why this place has such a bad rap.
The patrons on the other hand:
We were walking up to the restaurant and I was telling my friend that this totally doesn’t look as ghetto as the reviews make it out to be. Ironically, we then see a group of grown ass men hanging around outside catcalling two girls walking by. Classy.
Once we got in the restaurant, I hung my jacket over the back of my chair and a group sat behind us. The tables/​chairs are really close together, so I scooted in as far as possible for their table to get in and out. Some girl walked by and knocked my jacket off the chair, saw, and just sat down not acknowledging or apologizing. Again, classy. Common courtesy is too much to ask for, right.
Minus the people that go there, this restaurant in itself is worth the visit.
Oh, and while someone was cleaning the table behind us, he/​she was straight up spraying my back. Perhaps be a little more mindful and aware while cleaning.

Conveniently it is right across the street from Portos, the reason I was originally in Downy. I’ve read this place is «ghetto», it’s definitively NOT!
I thought it would be a bit awkward to just come for a michelada and not order food but it wasn’t. I noticed a lot of people only ordering drinks. I got the mango with shrimp michelada and boy it was DELICIOUS! Super savory, my mouth is watering as I type this. The shrimp were plump and paired well with the tajin and chamoy.
My bf ordered an oyster shooter because it looked good. He really enjoyed the tajin and chamoy but was indifferent with the tequila. He wanted more of the oysters and for $ 3 extra they topped it off with tajin and chamoy.
The food looked really good too, will definitely come back on an empty stomach!

Another chill visit at ²⁰⁄₂₀ and one that was a lot better than my last visit when trying to have dinner in the dining area.
As I stated before, I’ve never had an issue when I’m sitting at the bar and this visit held true to that statement. It was Monday Happy Hour so grabbed a couple of Modelo’s for $ 2.50 and some spicy buffalo wings that were 65 cents each.
I’ve never ordered the wings before and they were pretty good. They were crispy, flavorful and had no shortage of sauce. I’m actually happy I gave these a shot because I’ll be making my way back for things wings.
Their Monday Happy Hour is worth checking out. I’m still not sure how service will be in the dining area but I can assure you its good at the bar. I also want to clarify that my selections were specials only on Monday’s. There’s other specials throughout the week.

I’m not sure how I feel about this place yet. I need to come back a few more times.
I guess that means I see potential here. Admittedly I ordered a novelty michelada when I knew there were better ones on the menu.
This is a michelada bar, I’m a little disappointed they don’t serve civiche. But they did have a pretty decent shrimp cocktail.
It’s also sports bar themed. I could definite see this place poppin off during big games.
While I’m still undecided of my opinion of this place I do recommend it!
