The food is delicious, the wait uh, and parking is terrible. However, if you love food the way I do, it’s worth the wait… :). The quality of the food is what I look, and of course the customer service goes hand-in-hand. The waitresses are pleasant to both males and females which is a change from some of my past experiences. The live band is a bit too loud for my taste, however it’s somewhat tolerable.

This place has fast and friendly service. Mariscos are clean and tasty. I had the oyster shot, I like. Shrimp cocktail was very tasty justice of the cocktail was on point, aguachile was good. Parking I don’t like

Just came here for lunch. Good was fresh and typical of a mariscos spot. Nothing out of the ordinary. Their salsa has some juice from canned abalone or shrimp broth. It was slightly fishy for my taste. Michelada were massive and good. Nothing stood out from what we ordered. Just your basics mariscos spot.

Food is good very clean mariscos and serve is pretty quick. I had there taco de Marlin and it was Bomb! I also ordered a tostada Mixta and it was ok. I always have a few beers when I eat Mariscos however the beers are $ 5 bucks each, ouch! I’m use to paying around $ 3 – 3:50 a beer but not $ 5(I am not stingy). Eating outside in the patio is pretty cool and they also have plasmas TV’s if you want to see a game. Music is playing. Pretty cool spot, it’s hidden though parking into front is hard to find since there’s only like 4 – 5 parking spots. Best bit is to either park behind the Del Taco or on the side street.

First time going here and I gotta say at first I wasn’t really convinced, but once I stepped in their my opinion changed. The place is small but they seat u fast, they placed the order fast as well and the food including the salsa they put in the table is really good. Is not to pricy considering is mariscos. Is worth giving it a try !! :)

Ceviche de Camaron tostada was great. Came for brunch with my friend and the food came promptly. The Aquachille was also very tasting.

I went last Tuesday night, they were fully staffed with waiters standing around an empty restaurant. I ordered one taco Marlin, one tostada aguachile and of course a michelada. The michelada was huge I couldn’t even drink half of it. The food and drinks were fine and tasted how they supposed to. I found nothing special here.

Honestly, best Mariscos around town. I enjoyed my tacos de gobernador, along with my tostada mixta. It taste like no other, and I actually felt like I was in my home town.(Sinaloa). Idk why some Unilocaler’s would say that it’s not Mexican. Th food I’ve ordered during my experiences here have been perfectly seasoned and it always has that good hint of spices. Not to mention, every time I go the Mariscos taste supper fresh. Ps: YOURTASTEBUDSWILLHAVE A PARTYINYOURMOUTH when you order a michelada. You will not be disappointed :)

TL; DR Good Micheladas. Their ceviche mixto was alright, though they skimped on the actual seafood. El Gobernador taco was also decent, though too greasy. The Asada Taco, Cheese Enchilada and Shrimp Taco were pretty bad. The service was very good though. Live band was not enjoyable at all. Sound quality was bad and the singer was out of tune. Thought the food was also pricey for the amount/quality. Ten bucks for ceviche with mostly veggies and imitation crab and four dollars for one tiny taco. If you like good Micheladas, mediocre ceviche and terrible music this spot has you covered! Should have seen this one coming off of the pictures. The Michelada was enjoyable, but the food wasn’t very good. Got to try their Ceviche Mixto, El Gobernador Taco, Shrimp Taco, Asada Taco, and their Cheese Enchiladas. The only one that was alright was the Ceviche, but I didn’t think the octopus was cooked well. Was too soft and mushy. I was also bummed to find that underneath all the strands of imitation crab their wasn’t a lot of actual seafood. Felt a bit ripped off. The El Gobernador taco was supposed to be Shrimp and Cheese. Instead I got some greasy brown mush. Even though it was odd, it tasted ok to me. The Shrimp tacos were very bland. Added some lime and hot sauce to them, but it still didn’t save the taco since it was mostly lettuce. Same for the Asada taco. Who puts a bunch of lettuce on an asada taco? Thought that was weird. Was expecting onions and cilantro. Even if they had made the asada taco normally it still wouldn’t have been enjoyable since the meat was chewy. The Cheese Enchilada was one of the worst I’ve had. I think even Acapulco has better ones than the ones here. The tortilla tasted old and uncooked at the same time. Was pretty gross. The rice that came with the Enchilada was just plain white rice. Not the orange looking Mexican rice one would come to expect. They had live music, which could have been cool but I thought the band was pretty bad. The staff was very professional and attentive. I also thought their house salsa was pretty good. Another thing I really liked was that they had Guacamaya sauce, which I love to put on my favorite foods that go well with a little kick. It’s a hot sauce with a little parrot on the bottle. If you see it, try it! The outside area was nice. Had heating lamps and a bunch of TVs. Final impression: The food was overpriced and mediocre, some bad. Four bucks per taco and ten bucks for a ceviche consisting of very little actual seafood? Next time I’m craving ceviche I’m looking for alternatives. Pros: + Michelada + Guacamaya Hot Sauce + House salsa + Outside area has heat + Plenty of TVs outside + Good service Cons: — Skimp on seafood on ceviche, tacos — Octopus wasn’t cooked well — Live music was pretty bad — Cheese Enchilada was terrible — White rice instead of Mexican rice — Shrimp tacos was mostly lettuce — Cold Tortillas — Adada tacos had a lot of lettuce and the meat was chewy and gross

Very disappointed. Sorry but the only good thing here is the oysters. We all tried something different tostadas, mojarra, botana, cocktail, shrimp in their special sauce .(do not try their special sauce unless you like Clamato in your food) pretty much everything. Even the mariachi sounds bad! Nope sorry but never coming back

Servers were great. I ordered the A La Diabla Pescado in the mild sauce with a michelada and they were both so good. The oyster shots were the best and just perfect.

I love this place. They have the best seafood in town. This is my little gem! The location is small but it’s what makes it unique. One of my main reason I come here is for the«Micheladas». I have tasted many and this place is one of he best! The first one goes down in less than 5 min. Highly recommend this place. #BestMicheladas Follow my adventures in Instagram Daisy.S.Garcia or my Snapchat Dgarcia7286

Food was just ok. I think from reading the reviews I was expecting more. Atmosphere was great though, live music and nice families enjoying themselves. FOOD: My guy got the shrimp burrito and it was good but when we asked if it came with rice and beans and they said yes, it didn’t. They brought some though so he was happy. My beans /rice wasn’t warm when it came and I like my food pretty warm so that was disappointing but the shrimp Costa Azul was tasty. They forgot my tortillas but I got them eventually. It may have been an off night. UPDATE: The manager Raul was very thoughtful and I appreciated that.

First and only time here at this place. We ended up here at the recommendation of a friend… wow — they do not know Mexican food. First, upon ordering my fish taco I inquired if the tacos were grilled or breaded since I like them grilled — tastier and healthier. He said they were grilled; great I ordered one. But when it arrived it was most certainly breaded…:no biggie, I didn’t mention it, not a big deal, obviously a miscommunication. Oh well, moving on… I also ordered a medium-sized shrimp cocktel. And, boy oh boy… the shrimp cocktel was bland and lacking any real flavor. So I loaded it up with ketchup, salt, pepper and taxation sauce… better. But no quite satisfying my craving half way through, I was totally shocked to find a short curly piece of hair in my next spoonful of shrimp. Um, my appetite had officially left he area… bummer! They comp’d it but it doesn’t make up for the fact that it wasn’t very good to begin with. Ive spoken about the food, but let’s talk about their service and atmosphere. Service was great… no problems. The patio was nice. There was music and a tv on for the pleasure of the guests. Parking, I can imagine can be really difficult though — not much parking.

My daughter and I placed an order to go a few days ago and we were very pleased. Elsa, our server, packed all of our food for us very well, she greeted us, offered anything else and then… when she noticed us drooling over the delicious looking fresh made Micheladas, she offered to make us one with all the preparations, minus the beer, to go also!!! Here’s the best part. EVERYTHING was delicious and fresh!.. we ordered, shrimp coctele, ceviche, and 2 shrimp and cheese tacos… the micheladas preparation was perfect… we simply added a beer at home and ice and they were Bomb!!! We will DEFINITELY go here again

I really liked the location in Downey parking is limited the staff was very nice the owner was exceptionally nice great place to take the musicos oh the music was also very good they play Spanish My hubby ordered some mixture of pulpo camaraon cocido and camaron aguachile which was DELICIOUS I FORGOTTHENAMEOFTHEPLATEBUTITSSERVEDTOGETHERWITHAVACADO I ordered the camarones a la diabla which I really didn’t like because the sauce didn’t taste homemade but like sauce from a bottle but the rice and the beans were delicious. Also the presentation was 10 out of 10. We also had michiladas which were the best tasting michiladas I’ve ever had overall I would recommend this place to everyone. The music is great to kick it with your friends.
