Well now, I am sorry but this place is not Nicaraguan. It is a Peruvian in fact and I HIGHLY recommend it. They have excellent Peruvian food. on the top of your list you should try the Lomo Salteado, a true classic Peruvian dish. Also get yourself a ceviche! This ceviche gives ceviche 105 some to envy I swear. I live in Doral myself and stopping by for lunch at Karnitas at least once a week should be on everyone’s agenda. Cheap, quality and friendly service! The golf course being as bad as it is, and security giving you migraine before letting you in, I think they are in a terrible location. Costa is very residential and it just doesn’t feel right driving in there for lunch– kind of discourages me from going. For that I take one star away. But everything is not perfect in life. Now put your shoes on and go try this place out!

This is a small Nicaraguan restaurant that is located behind the Golf Pro Shop at the Costa Del Sol Golf Course. It’s very much a «mom and pop» type of establishment. It isn’t fancy at all but the atmosphere is pretty relaxing. The restaurant has a view of a lake, the golf course, and the driving range. They also have a couple of flat screens in the dining room and some ambient music. I wasn’t expecting much from a small restaurant behind a golf pro shop but the food is surprisingly good! The gallo pinto was very tasty and so was the skirt steak. The best part may have been the queso frito. When I order that at a fritanga it makes that squeaky sound on your teeth and tastes a bit rubbery. The queao frito here is freshly fried and really tasty. The portion was an average size and enough go fill you up. Karnitas is a pleasant surprise in the Doral area. If I’m in the mood for Nicaraguan food and I’m in the area, I’d definitely go back.
