I have been to BLT Steak at the Betsy Ross a few times and both service and food has been very good. Not wanting to drive to the beach decided to give BLT Prime a try. Group of 8 for a family dinner. Let’s start with service horrible. The waiter kept disappearing. I named him Houdini. Our water glasses emptied and no one refilled until we asked. The wait for drinks, appetizer then meal has huge gaps in between. Finally when they refilled the water it was dirty & cloudy. Had to ask for new water. We never were asked if we wanted more drinks at $ 16+ a drink you figure they’d want to sell. When the dinner finally came out My daughter ordered her $ 94.00 porterhouse MED they gave it to her MEDRARE. She questioned it & he looked at her and lied said it was MED. Did he really think she was an idiot that doesn’t know meat? The side steak sauces not good at all. Asked for regular A-1 steak sauce the waiter looked confused and never came back with it. The lobster was good cooked well but not 2lbs like in menu that was about 1 – 1 ¼. The food was very good not superb. The $ 12 – 14 sides that normally are shareable not here they are tiny & pathetic looking next to the main plate. We ordered 3 desserts they were good not spectacular; the banana ice cream was memorable. When it comes to food I do not cut back I splurge for good food. At $ 100.00 minimum a person I expect both food and service to be top notch. They were not even packed. I will not be back

$ 28 a person to do breakfast buffet. You kind of have no choice but to go with that, because any entrée on the menu costs around $ 28 and up, even if you just want eggs. Things available at the buffet: omelette station, pastries, cereals, yogurt, bagels, lox, fruit, coffee and juice, bacon, sausage, and waffles. Everything was great, and they allow you to take your food to go if you don’t finish. The view here is the best part. You can sit in or outside and have a full view of the 800-acre golf course. Apparently The Donald dines here once a week, so drop by for a chance to catch him on the flip side.

Loud patrons Unilocaling in Spanish. Novice wait staff. Sent my steak back twice before refusing a third attempt at medium well. A hotel restaurant masquerading as a Four Star Steakhouse. Prices do not reflect the expectation of excellence.

The bar, the view and the cocktails are exquisite perfect. The atmosphere is great, the people very friendly. Ask for Esteban and you will be at home. I met 3 great bartenders I taste and challenge their mix virtues with complicated ingredients and all came out delicious! I’m definitely coming back and try the food! Trumps up!

Went here for my birthday with girlfriend and daughter. Had an awesome time. BLT never disappoints me. I’ve been to NY and now here. The Jenny Martini that Sara offered me was great. Don’t leave with out trying one. Love Sara’s personality, it should be what the rest of the servers should strive to be. Overall experience… exceptional.

Had two very different experiences here, just two nights apart. First was a Thursday. Service was horrible. Probably a solid 30 minutes before we were acknowledged. Wine after wine was unavailable. Little interaction by the waiter(for a restaurant of this level, I expect quite a bit more). Ordered the filet, medium rare. It was burnt to a crisp. Overall, I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Fast forward to Saturday. Service was amazing. Very attentive, friendly and great sense of humor. Ordered the short ribs this time around. AMAZING. We had a variety of seafood platters, tartares, etc. Just a night and day experience between the two meals.

If you are a guest or live in the area, BLT is probably the only option for a classic American steakhouse. Service is top notch, nice setting. Trump opulence, one minor thing the golf course was not lit and so the gorgeous view in the evening is unfortunately non existent.

This is a Five star, fine dining restaurant in Doral! To all of you steak lovers you must try this restaurant. I would also recommend sitting outside with the magnificent view of the blue monster golf course your dining experience will be even better!

Great food, friendly staff, cool mellow ambiance and the view of the golf course is spectacular. I would recommend this place to anyone. The ribeye steak is to die for(especially after having it with the roasted garlic and bone marrow that comes with it), as well as the Dover sole with the brown butter caper sauce.

I definitely recommend BLT Prime. We were guests at the property and this was a birthday celebration for my husband and we were not disappointed. We sat in a romantic half-moon booth facing out to the sunset overlooking the 18th hole, so the view was really nice. While the atmosphere overall is not romantic, we made it as much as we could. The meal started with toast points and liver mousse(one of my favorites!) then we shared the seafood tower — the oysters were delicious! We had the lamb, cooked medium and a filet, cooked medium rare. They prepared it to temperature and were very tasty! The sides to share are on the smaller side compared to other steakhouses. And of course, the popovers are AMAZING! It was hard to stop eating them. For dessert we ordered the soufflé to go and had a little sweetness to end the night. The service was very good — from the Sommelier and the numerous server assistants, who all were happy to help!

I came here a few nights ago for what, unfortunately, ended up being a pretty disappointing dinner. I was staying at the Trump National Doral for a conference and attended a large business dinner there. My expectations were high — the hotel was absolutely wonderful, and I assumed that the dining options on the premises would be no different. So, if I’m being honest, this would probably be a 3 star review if it was anywhere else. But the standard was set so high due to everything else about the hotel, the disappointment felt much worse. The restaurant itself is very pretty. It’s dark, dimly lit, with dark wood and gold accents. It looks like an old school boys club, where you can imagine a bunch of guys catching a drink after a long day of golfing. In fact, I’m sure that’s probably what it’s used for quite often. We sat outside, where there are two levels for seating and a gorgeous view of the golf course. The only problem there is that it’s covered seating but only the bottom level had fans or anything to cool them down. Sitting on the top level I can say that the summer Miami humidity got to all of us. Fans all around would have been much appreciated! The real disappointment was with the food. First they started with popovers, which happen to be their signature thing. They were pretty good — warm, doughy, topped with gruyère. But they weren’t out of this world. Did I enjoy them? Yes — I think we all did. Is it at a level beyond any other popover I’ve ever had? Probably not. They did include a little card with each serving that had the recipe, and I loved that! It’s a nice little souvenir for people like me who like to cook. I’ll probably even try to make them one day. Then they started bringing out the food, which was in constant rotation. The customer service was wonderful and there was just a ton of food — it reminded me almost of Fogo de Chao! Here was the rundown of what we had: CAESARSALAD: Completely and utterly drenched in dressing. So dressing heavy that it was almost inedible. It also didn’t even necessarily taste like Caesar dressing. There seemed to be a heavy mustard component for some reason. TUNATARTARE: I didn’t try it but the presentation was beautiful with a layer of avocado on the bottom and chopped, raw tuna on top. I did hear that it was seasoned well. CRABCAKE: Maybe I’m a Maryland snob, but these were just not good. Shredded crab meat instead of jumbo lump and lots of filler. It seemed to be coated with a thick layer of something that seemed like Panko breadcrumbs. GRILLEDNYSTEAK: Very chewy. My co-worker thought it tasted funny and subsequently stopped eating it. ROASTEDORGANICCHICKEN: Flavored well, but the skin was a little bit too goopy. GINGERCRUSTEDAHITUNA: More cooked than you would usually see in a seared ahi tuna dish. The ginger fell right off and some of it was burned. YUKONMASHEDPOTATOES: Delicious! Very, very creamy and buttery. I would be scared to see the nutrition facts. HENOFTHEWOODSMUSHROOMS: I didn’t try these because I don’t like mushrooms, but I heard they were delicious. The presentation, in a cast iron skillet, was beautiful, too. GRILLEDASPARAGUS: Lightly charred and not overly oily — pretty good. So here in lies the problem — the best thing about the meal was the sides! And how hard is it to make mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus? Sorry, but when the main proteins are all underwhelming(and sometimes nearly inedible), I just can’t let something like grilled asparagus kick my opinion up a notch. Perhaps a seated dinner for two would have had a different outcome, but I would not recommend this restaurant for catering a large event. Or maybe just grab some popovers and enjoy a cold drink at the bar.

They had some nice healthy options but for $ 28 and and auto 18% gratuity charge, the service was bad. The food was kept well stocked and warm but i am not sure the cost really equated to the value and quality.

The worst steakhouse in Miami! I went despite of bad reviews to give the new Trump Doral The benefit of the doubt! Where do I begin, service was the worst Ever, food was mediocre and even the bread was bad! Just beware! Mr. TRUMP, if you read this review, we are avid diners and go to only the best restaurants in Miami and this restaurant was nothing but mediocre especially for the cost! Again, service? Just terrible… And the food, nothing to rave about since the food is nothing but ordinary. You get better meat in the average Ruth Chris. I feel so appauled at this place! Truly is a shame since the hotel is spectacular but they need to work on soo many things in this restaurant!

I ordered 2 eggs sunny side up with bacon. The waiter brought my breakfast with roasted well seasoned potatoes instead of toast. Let’s just say it was amazing!!! It came with an assortment of mini croissants and chocolate croissants which I forgot to document.:(Any-who my breakfast was delicious and the chocolate croissants was a gift from heaven:)

Beautiful restaurant with a view of the golf course. Very upscale with a nice menu. We ate here during the 2014 Miami Spice promotion. We had to ask for the MS menu. The popovers were the highlight of the dinner. Delicious and very impressive. Steak was cooked to perfection. Wait service started to be very rushed, however, after explaining we hadn’t seen each other in a while & we needed a little time, the waitress backed off. The bill arrived reflecting the regular menu prices and included an 18% gratuity. The final pricing was reflective of the $ 39.00/pp MS charge. Valet parking only however with restaurant validation was $ 5.00 plus tip. Great place for a special occasion when price is a non-issue.

Good bar, Nice bar tenders, the hotel is really beautifully decorated. The bar has a huge wine, since the manager is a wine enthusiast he has the best of the best, its very impressive, the list goes on and on and its like a booklet which is divided into countries in alphabetical order. I was delighted when i saw that Barolo was on the list and even more when i found some Savignon Blanc from New Zealand. I wish they had more liquor, they pride themselves in being a full liquor bar but they don’t have Saint Jermaine, Kettle One, Midory, Pisco or Cachaça… C’monnnnnnn. I hoe they improve their liquor selection. I will update my review in a month and see if there has been any improvements because the pace is gorgeous and worth the chance.
