I went here for the very first time when my uncle had his 70th birthday gathering! To be honest, I did not know what to expect. My aunt had been here before and assured me that the food was really very good, and it was! In fact, it was AWESOME! I’ve gone back twice since then. You can go in, ask for takeout, get your to-go box, fill it up with whatever you like, take it back up to the front, they’ll weigh it for you, and you pay! How can you beat that? To me, the food is very fresh, the environment is very nice and the price is excellent! So far, I have no complaints whatsoever!

Always freaking fabulous. The recipes can change from time to time so it won’t always be exactly the same but there’s so much variety you just move on. Very polite and helpful staff, drinks appear full again as soon as they’re empty like magic.

I’ve been here a few times and can’t say a bad thing about it. I’m a seafood girl, so this place is like heaven for me… I’ve even come to love the sushi… and I always have my coupon.

My first time coming here was for a kids bday dinner and all I could think was how terrible a cheap buffet in forestville would be. Surprisingly, it wasn’t bad.(I think I’m scared to admit this buffet food is good. Lol) It’s a great price and indeed perfect for feeding and entertaining kids, 6.997−10y/o. After the first visit, we ended up bringing our son here for his bday dinner with friends. While I wouldn’t choose this place because I enjoy eating in gentrified D.C., I find myself back because the kids request it. Pros: Ample space, clean, modern looking, plenty of food options, inexpensive, and kids will enjoy themselves while you sit back and Unilocal. Cons: It’s a buffet.

This is my first time here but I am impressed. There is a nice selection of food everything from fruit/veggie bar, sushi, soul and chinese food. My only disappointment was the sushi bar, all I wanted was the Philly roll but their is a selection of assorted sushi. The restaurant is very clean with a nice staff. Me and my daughter felt very welcome. Score for snow day date. We will be back.

I have been here twice and it’s pretty good. I went for the first time with a big group and the price was ten dollars and it included a drink. Everything was fresh and seasoned pretty well. The grill in the back is always my go 2 at places like this. Clean which is always great to see… At the front they have some type of point system that you log your phone number in and you can get free meal drink etc after a certain amount of points. Large sized place and perfect for meetings, big functions or just a lunch date. Don’t let the name fool you it’s crazy good! P. s. Don’t let the lobster excite you it’s more of the shell than anything else and the meat is hard to get and its fried and tossed in some type of random sauce.

I have been here several times I am glad to have a buffet that has good food, fresh food, and good service. Sometimes you don’t knwo what you want or have people who have picky taste. I do wish they would sometimes change up the menu, maybe have some more specialty items. But there is never a short supply of food. it is always full, and just good. compared to other places near by this my go too… we even came during a area blackout to eat. yup they was open and cooking…

I’ve mentioned before how much I favor buffets, for the selection and endless eats. Crazy Buffet & Grill is no exception.(love the name) I went here for dinner, which is something I don’t recommend for buffets as buffets tend to wind down during the dinner hours, particularly after 5−6pm because they don’t want too many leftovers to have to throw out. So the quality of food decreases significantly due to this. That said, I’ll have to come back for the lunch hour to give it a better fair shake, but so far, be that as it may, I wasn’t terribly impressed. Practically everything on the buffet islands tasted stale, old and appeared to look like it had been sitting out there for hours. I realise it wasn’t but that’s exactly what it looked like and tasted like. The sushi at the sushi bar was absolutely awful, again, it tasted old and stale. I will say that the only thing worth eating was the hibachi, and that is of course due to the fact that it’s made to order and cooked in front of you. I’m giving this place the benefit of the doubt due to the dinner hour and very, very few buffets are consistent between lunch and dinner, in fact it’s quite rare. So again, I’ll come back for lunch to give it a better chance because anyone who knows buffets, lunch is when you should go. Not dinner. Not to mention the added benefit of lunch usually being a lower price. Regardless, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the overhead music was a bit overbearing and loud. Listening to Lady Gaga’s Poker Face wasn’t exactly a warming experience at a Chinese buffet, but whatever. Overall, despite everything said, it’s still a decent buffet to go to as it’s pretty standard, has something for everyone and plenty of seating and space. And the name of the establishment is unique and original, not to mention fun and attractive. Good marketing, actually.

Do not come here! Came in cause it was cheap and we were in the same strip mall shopping. The food was greasy and generic at best and there were several trays with flies swimming in the food. Very unsanitary and the dark lighting is there to hide the disgusting environment.

This buffet is reasonably priced, especially for a weekday lunch. There is a wide selection and the food is good, not amazing, but good. For the price paid you can’t expect much more. The dinning room is without exception as clean as it gets.

Now, I’m not much of a buffet girl, but lately I have been trying to broaden my horizons and give the buffet another chance. So far … Soooo good! I love this place. I was incredibly surprised at how good the food was & how CLEAN it was. Upon arriving, we WEREN’T greeted by the front staff/host which was a blower & he proceeded to be kinda impatient when I was taking literally five seconds to figure out what I wanted to drink. Simmer simmer sir, it’s not that serious! While being seated, I was amazed at how modern and clean it was. The booths and chairs are up to date, not ripped, & the dining area has a blue kind of aura that is gorgeous! I’m in love. On top of that, the food looked and tasted amazing! They have a wonderful selection; whole crabs, Chinese dishes, sushi, made to order hibachi, pasta … And lots of desserts to choose from. Why did it take me so long to give you another chance buffet? I’m sorry, please forgive me! :P We go together! The price of the buffet with a drink was $ 13 bucks plus some change. You can also take your food to go if you like, $ 3.99 per lb. It’s a bit more if you want to include seafood items but still a very fair price. Favs: Great food selection, affordable price, and sooooo clean! Would Change: The front staff … They kinda suck! :-/

The sushi was good. Not raw, all cooked. Had nice soft buttery rolls. The shrimp was a little mushy(possibly a bad batch) but a good selection.

4 starts for the staff and environment. It was clean and the server was attentive. The food, I would rate it as 3– just mediocre.

The set up was strange compared to a normal Chinese buffet. They require you to pay up front and their front desk reminds me more of an airport kiosk than a front desk. There was a large food choice so I decided to sample everything. All of their breaded chicken varieties were mostly bread with very little actual chicken in each type. The noodles were rubbery, as though they had just been cooked improperly, and the vegetables in the noodles were fresh, and severely under cooked. Their desert selection was mostly made up of cakes, and were not very pleasant, and didn’t seem fully cooked. The sushi selection was vast, however the sushi rice was more sour than it should have been. I decided to stop eating the sashimi halfway through the first one because the fish was extremely old and dry, and looked like it would make me sick. The best dish I found was a barbecue pork that was improperly labeled as chicken. There was also signs saying that children 10 and under had to be accompanied by an adult, but there were several small screaming children running through the restaurant. We went on a Sunday and the price was $ 13 a plate, and definitely not worth it. We will not be going back.

Everything was mushie bland and nasty! The food quality is very low. I asked for my money back and the manger was about to try to give me only half back but I told him I had 1 plate and didn’t eat it! He checked with waitress and gave me all my money back!!! Don’t do it folks!

Second time here, it’s still good. This time they have steamed crabs. They still are not good. Mushy and if you smell them they stank. The hibachi is always good and the salted shrimp keeps me coming back.

My aunt and I went for dinner on a Friday, 2015-07-10. I had been here before and knew what to expect, but my aunt was blown away by how very vast was the selection, and how very fresh was every dish she sampled. She adored the hibachi. If you want to eat healthy at an Asian buffet, this is the place to come. First, there is the fresh-as-could-be(and incredibly good hibachi). There’s sushi, yummy seaweed, healthy seafood(four kinds of fish, oysters, clams, shrimp, crawfish, prawns, crabs, and mussels). The spare ribs are served without sugary sauce; there is prime rib with a simple au jus. And, oh, behold the myriad glorious fruit, and the best salad bar I’ve even seen at an Asian buffet. And all this for $ 10.99! Or, in my aunt’s case, $ 9.90 with a senior discount. On my previous visit(2015-06-28), even my parents — who only eat vegetarian fare and fish(but not shellfish) — found plenty of delicious food and were quite sated. The lighting is kind of weird and surrealistic.
