Best walleye I’ve ever had! Also PGA Salad is a must… don’t forget Rosie’s caramel cake!

This whole hotel is in need of serious improvement. Décor is VERY old, public bathrooms were gross, graffiti SPRAYPAINTED on the stalls of the first floor public bathroom. Staff was marginally courteous. Won’t be staying here again.

The Chef must have been on vacation! The pasta stood under the heat lamps so long that the cream sauce was a solid mass. The steaks were inconsistent. One steak had a good flavor, but was under cooked. The other steak had no flavor. The wait staff was polite, but very slow and inattentive. I don’t think even the Ramada chain could be proud of this product.

We thought the food here was great! What a gem to discover in North Dakota! The Grand Dakota Grille is part of the Grand Ramada Inn. You reach the restaurant by walking through the lobby. The chef is very innovative and included things on the menu like fried ricotta gnocchi, sauteed spinach and peas in lemon butter sauce as well as crab risotto. There was also a section of steaks on the menu and a make your own pasta and pizza. The bread basket brought to the table consisted of homemade popovers. It looked like anything on the menu could be made gluten-free. My husband and I were traveling through and came for dinner. We ordered the artichoke and jalapeño dip with flatbread as an appetizer. It was so good, we suggested that the chef add it to his pizza toppings. My husband ordered the 14 oz sirloin with cognac butter, broccolini and roasted fingerling potatoes. It was excellent. I ordered the caprese salad – buffalo mozzarella, beefsteak tomatoes, arugula and balsamic reduction with sirloin tips. It was out of this world. We were very impressed. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. It was a very positive experience. One thing is that Dickinson is a boom town with lots of oil workers there. The«lounge» part of the restaurant was separated from the dining area and had blackjack tables. The oil workers became very boisterous in their enthusiasm. Because of the hallway separation, though, the noise did not intrude on our dining experience. It did sound like everyone was having a good time.
