So. Many. Choices. I don’t find myself in this part of town very often, but it was on my radar this past Sunday afternoon. I had to stop at PetSmart and wanted to go have a beer somewhere before I went home. I love Bull and Bush, but I have been there so many times that I was itching to go somewhere new-ish. Arrived at WOB around 5 pm and the place was pretty quiet with a few tables and a few people at the bar. Bellied up to the bar and were taken care of immediately. The bartender was really nice and was patient with me while I perused the HUGE beer list. They have so many draught beers and so many bottles from all over the world. I have tried a lot of beer in my life and found things here that I have never even heard of. I ordered a Cherry Lambic and after that a Stone Smoked Porter. I was pretty happy with both beers I ordered as far as taste, freshness, temperature, and pour. They do not carry food but they have a book of menus for restaurants nearby that you can order in from. They also allow dogs. I have no problem with this place, but I don’t see myself coming here often. I don’t think I would come here on a Friday night when it is overcrowded, but that’s just me.

Friendly staff, friendly locals, obviously tons of beer. A guy played the guitar on the balcony inside and even took your requests.

Nice atmosphere, super friendly staff, live music on Saturday night and across the parking lot from the Hilton Garden Inn. Variety of local beers and was able to meet some friendly locals.

I have missed World of Beer so much since moving. I finally made it over there, and it was awesome. I enjoyed the wide range of draft and bottle beers they had. I was tempted to go for some of their more unique bottles, but they had Russian River’s Pliny the Elder, so how could I resist. I would definitely recommend looking through their bottle list when you’re visiting, as you can find some hidden gems. I found out from one of the bartenders that it turns out the app isn’t up to date for events which is why I always thought not much was going on. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays which is awesome. Andrew was my main server at the bar and he was super awesome and friendly. I definitely look forward to coming back some time soon.

Lots of draft beers and cocktails to choose from – options are always a good thing. The ambiance of the place feels like a hybrid between a pub, a sports bar, and a lounge, in that it’s loud, it’s laidback, but it’s also kind of upscale? …You’ll understand it when you get there. Anyways, we ordered a flight of some local beers for $ 10, so it wasn’t terribly expensive. Other than the fact that I couldn’t hear a thing my friends were saying, I really like this place and would definitely come back again. It’s a good place to bring beer lovers, but it isn’t exclusive to beer lovers, which is great.

The employees here are fantastic! There are plenty of TVs with games on, and the rotating tap list always has great choices for everyone

This place is convenient because it’s near work and they offer an amazing selection of beer. The staff is usually very attentive and polite. The outdoor seating is comfortable and there’s plenty of it. I’m not a huge fan of their prices though. I don’t mind paying extra if i’m going to be doing some cross-state-country sampling, but if I’m just feeling like a cold beer and a small bite to eat, I head over to Silvis for Happy Hour when their drafts are $ 2.75. Overall, a cool place to stop in if you’re feeling like knocking back some craft beers and paying a slight premium for them.

So I went here on the Friday of GABF thinking the crowd would be diverse, and the beer selection good. What a disappointment. Out of how many taps(40? 50?) you don’t have a single barleywine, dubbel, tripel or quad. In order to avoid your«Belgians» draft list having 2 – 3 beers, you put a couple of special Crooked Stave sours in there(Now before anyone hates on me, there was a whole other category of «Sours» with about 10 beers in it — why not put ALL the sours there, instead of trying to pass a couple off as «Belgians»). You guys need a beer sommelier to really draw any crowd other than IPA-swillers. To top it off, you list the«Belgian sampler» as $ 11 in your menu, but it was really $ 5 per(i.e. shot pricing) due to the Festival. And even though I had 4 «shots» you charged me for 5 and I had to ask 3 times to get it corrected. #Epicfail #Iwontbeback

I really really really dig this place! I love all of the beer options, and I also love that you can order food from any of the surrounding restaurants and eat it here. We went on a slow Saturday, but our service was really fantastic! They had things on tap from local breweries that I had never seen on tap. Was awesome!

What a shame. This place started off so well, but has gone downhill. The service is so mediocre-maybe not always, but the last few times I went in I was ignored for ages by the bartenders. Not even given a menu. I hit the 100 club a while back and despite having told them this the last two times of going and been told«oh we will get your t shirt and mug», it never appears. Apathy seems to be the trait of some of the employees. Don’t bother signing up for their beer club-they don’t honor their promises, so I really fail to see why anyone should pay for it!

Constantly rotating draft list and hundreds of bottles to choose from. You can’t get much better when it comes to variety and quality of beer especially in this part of town. Plenty of TVs to watch sports on and a beautiful patio for the good weather. Although it doesn’t serve food, there are several deck it restaurants near by that you can pick up from or have delivered straight to the restaurant! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And on Tuesdays they have trivia! You can also join a rewards program which tracks what beers you drink there which is fun.

We ended up not even getting our drinks until almost 10pm, we arrived at 8:30. It took an hour and a half for us to have a beer ordered… I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place so I went with a girlfriend one night. We find a seat inside and 5 minutes later a waitress dropped off a menu and ran away. Then we waited 20 more minutes(literally) without seeing our waitress and I thought the only explanation could be that she forgot about us. I went inside where the waitress ignored me to help 2 two guys who came up after me. When she was done flirting she brushed me off and told me she knew we were there and would come out in a few minutes. I should note– I worked as a waitress for years so I’m usually really understanding. The bar was not that busy, I saw 2 other servers and she at least should have came and let us know if it would be a long wait.

I feel bad for giving them a lower rating, but in the scope of brewery choices in Denver — it just doesn’t make much sense to visit WOB. They have most of your local brews on tap which is nice, but this place was pretty dead on a recent Saturday night visit. Probably because other locals have realized the same thing I did. I think the patrons here were mostly from the nearby Marriott/Hilton Cityset hotels. Really not a big deal, but again you can find better. I did like that they allow dogs on the patio, and even inside… I thought that allowing dogs inside was weird, but they don’t serve food here so maybe that’s why they allow it. We also liked the musician that was playing Saturday night. I can’t for the life of me remember his name, but he might be the reason we come back. Otherwise, we’ll probably just go back to Bull & Bush down the street.

A great place for a beer. A little pricey, but you can try a sample of anything for free. We were really disappointed that their flights were so expensive. Each flight was about a dollar an ounce, so four 3oz samples will run you around $ 12. We ended up just trying the free sample and getting the full beer(the cheapest beer was $ 5) instead. The shots of alcohol were really expensive. The waitresses really make the place and would be a good reason to come back. They were really friendly, checked on us often, and had a infinite knowledge of beer. They don’t technically serve food here(they have popcorn), but you can order out from 3 places nearby that will deliver. They don’t have a WoB near us, so we couldn’t take advantage of their repeat program(which costs money). Overall, now thanks to WoB, I am addicted to Nitro beer. I thought it was just something silly that hipsters did when they weren’t drinking appletinis, but it honestly made a huge difference.

Meh, just meh. The good… they have a lot of beer displayed in refrigerators that is a feast for the eyes of beer lovers like myself. They stock more than one chocolate stout and they were fantastic. The bad… many beers they stock are just the same swill you can find at any hole in the wall, but at prices that border on obnoxious. The live music was acoustic guitar versions of 90’s rock, yuck. The ugly… the service sucked. It took 10 minutes for the bartender to realize my glass was empty. Another bartender was occupied flirting with a young lady who had caught his eye, for 20 or so minutes. The broken front door constantly blew in freezing cold air with a hint of cigarette smoke for ambiance. This was not a great experience.

This literally is a world’s selection of beer in one establishment. Beer lovers, prepare to be amazed when you step foot in here. First, take a look at the bar and all the knobs that hang proudly along the wall. Hard to choose just looking there. And then your eyes will be drawn to the gazillion bottles they have in the fridge. Yup, and still there’s more. Second, grab a menu and you shall find one with the beer on draught, then another with bottles. Holy cannoli, what’s a girl to do? It’s a bit stuffy in here so dress light if you’re going to stay a while. One thing they should do is turn on the A/C. Otherwise, a great find!

Unfortunately, my review is going to be the same as most here. It’s a lot of beer. I am not a beer drinker. They have Wine at World of Beer. which is a good thing. They have Vodka at World of Beer. which is an even better thing. If it’s packed it can be a bit slow to get any drinks, but the staff does their best to accommodate people. Plenty of tv’s and people watching as well. Grab a bite to eat at one of the places close or just bring it on in. Good for groups, parties, and maybe even first dates. Parking can be a bit difficult, but there is a garage and a valet.

2 stars for awful service, otherwise I would have gladly given somewhere in the ballpark of a 4. Pros: — Great outdoor deck — Incredible selection of beer(600) — Cocktails for the non-beer-drinkers(yay!) — BYOY(bring your own yums) — plus or minus, depending. It was a surprise to us — Looks like they do a lot of event nights(Trivia, Students, Ladies, etc.), so I’d be willing to give them another try then(and bring my own food) Cons: — Service — Only drinks, no food — not even peanuts — Service — Location is a bit hidden, but it’s a great new gem for Denver/Glendale — Service Our service story goes like this: we sat on the roof deck, servers saw us, we waited 5 minutes, went inside to ask if there is service outside and were told yes, so we went back and waited another 5+ minutes before a server came to us. Everything we ordered was slow(very basic things — just drinks — because that’s all they have), and the waitress took my drink before I was done. Big no-no! I still had a visible amount left. RE: Cocktails: I had the Ginger Smash, which is something like a Moscow Mule minus the copper cup. It had zero carbonation so, if that’s your thing, do not order here. As long as you don’t compare it to its Russian sibling, you’ll be happy; the taste is good once you mash around the lime and mint(I got it without simple syrup).

I’m going to fall into the«there are much better beer bars around to spend your time at» camp. When I was reading the reviews, I was wondering how a bar with so many beer choices could possibly be bad. Turns out, there are a variety of ways this can happen: — Draft list is not that interesting. Same standards you see everywhere else at slightly higher than everyone else’s prices — Not very knowledgable/engaging servers — Weird, really open layout — no matter where you sit, you’re probably close to a door and on frigid nights, you should probably keep your coat on. — «I don’t care» pours that are about 50% head(see photo) We came on a quiz night and the free pints that are typically awarded during bonus round for whoever can answer the question the fastest are tasters here. Free is free, but getting awarded one taster seemed like more of a hassle than anything. Parking at Cityset kind of sucks too. They don’t serve food, but you can order in from anywhere(and there are lots of spots around, so that’s sort of cool). Thankfully, this place made me realize what a great beer city I live in by reminding me of all the other great places to go that I find way more enjoyable!
