I feel like I frequently come to this location when down town because it’s in a really convenient location. Right across from the convention center, in walking distance. As well as the Pepsi center. The staff is so friendly here !! Tonight I decided I wanted to try something new since I love Tokyo joes food ! I asked for the mahi mahi bowl but to sub chicken instead of fish and then gluten free teriyaki. The lady was so nice and took care of it right away ! When we received our order everything was right and tasted great ! The chicken is good the tropical salsa was awesome ! As well as the Leno aloi which was delicious !! And the teriyaki was on the side which is greatly appreciated ! This is not my close location but I will make sure to return when down around the 16th street area.

I have been going to Tokyo Joes for years. I’d say 15+ Years I love it. The food is fresh. Nothing canned or fried. I really appreciate this as I can go in and order anything without wondering if it’s healthy or feeling guilty about it later. A few years ago they started offering their coconut green curry for a «limited time» I was blown away by its deliciousness and upset that I might never be able order it again. I promptly wrote an email to the company begging for them to keep this around. I received a reply quickly letting me know that the green curry was here to stay. Thank the lord. I do usually have to order an extra side of it though. I also really like the Nikko salad and the spring rolls. I find it hard to believe that people don’t live it here as every time I visit this location there is a line, albeit a quickly moving one. The staff is so friendly and helpful you can tell the company values and treats its employees well!

I came here with a few coworkers today and it was kind of disappointing. The customer service was nice but me and my friends ordered food at the same time and it took them about 20 minutes. My food was cold and none of the vegetables were cooked in. Hard to recommend to anyone honestly

I wasn’t very impressed but it was good for the price they charge. The people that worked there had great attitudes and the atmosphere is definitely upbeat. As far as food goes I put it as average 3 bc when I left it didn’t leave me saying, wow I have to come back here again in regards to the food. However, it was a great atmosphere. I would go back if I was looking for a less expensive option vs other sushi restaurants in the area.

This is one of my favorite fast restaurant chains. My absolute favorite is a big curry combo bowl with extra curry. Steak and chicken with white rice dowsed in yellow curry which is not hot at all. Service here is always quick. Sitting outside in the sun people watching at this location can be fun! The food tastes awesome. All they need to do is expand into Madison WI where I live now!

The rice was undercooked, the spring roll wraps undersoaked, the meat was overdone and it was all lacking flavor. I will not be coming back.

Never thought that I would say this about a Tokyo Joe’s because I’ve had at least 200 white meat chicken bowls from there in my life… But avoid this one. I walked all the way back to my place, about a mile away only to find that they forgot my sauce for my bowl. What was worse than eating a bland a bowl, was the nausea it gave me all night. Disappointed.

I went there last week and it was closed. I am not sure if it is closed for good or if they are remodeling.

I came down for a show at the Denver Center and was looking for something fast and affordable. Tokyo Joe’s is off 16th street mall and walkable from the DCPA. Also, you can eat and drink for such a reasonable price. I LOVE their new bento boxes where you get some rice, protein, soy beans and 4 pieces of sushi for just $ 10! What a steal! Also impressive is their beer selection. Yes, it’s faster food(with good quality), but they also have a selection of local craft beer! I saw options like Pumpkick, Sunshine Wheat, etc. which I didn’t expect. I’ll share this secret: my friends suggested that we come back to Tokyo Joe’s after the show just for beers. It’s faster and better prices than the bars in the same area. Also, there is outdoor seating! So there was 6 of us, not in crowded seating in bars, all drinking quality bottled beer in Denver outside in October. Awesome. Tokyo Joe’s for rice bento boxes and now Colorado craft beer! Nicely done, Tokyo Joe’s.

I have been craving Tokyo Joe’s forever, and since moving am not close enough to grab it, so when I found myself on 16th St. I used the opportunity to head on in here and get one of my favorite things. Not having had Tokyo Joe’s in over a year my head was swimming with visions of tons of fresh veggies in teriyaki sauce, so I placed my order to go and waited patiently. It was done much quicker than I expected, so I went straight home and planted myself on the couch with the world’s emptiest belly. Immediately after taking the lid off of the to-go container I knew I was in for massive disappointment. While still good(Tokyo Joe’s always uses good ingredients), the vegetables were scarce, the rice was white instead of the brown I asked for, and the bowl itself was noticeably and significantly smaller than the ones you receive when you order in-store. The biggest letdowns by far were the maybe three pieces of broccoli, the spinach that was clumped and stuck together, and the fact that I was still seriously hungry after finishing. While I will remain a Tokyo Joe’s fan I think that my craving is diminished, not because it was satisfied but because the bowl just wasn’t worth missing. EDIT: To be honest, this is less a review of Tokyo Joe’s, which I’m sure is still great, and more a review of their halfassed to-go orders.

great service with a smile. The female that took my dine in order thirty minutes prior to close was polite and friendly. I will be back again since it’s close to the gym. Hi five!

Great for a quick bite, whether you want sushi or hot food. I got a build your own bowl and did ramen noodles(although the options listed are white or brown rice or udon). Everything tastes fresh and was less than $ 8 for a hearty portion that included both meat and veggies! The girl working, Katrina, was super helpful in selecting something as there were quite a few options on the menu. And my food came out in less than 5 minutes.

I am giving this place a 3 star only because the food was fresh and the place was nice but the taste was really lacking. I ate their bowl with green dragon sauce which was just sour with not much of any other flavor. I also had sushi that was just ok. The rolls were too much rice with not enough flavor. Overall a very average place.

The food is well prepared, the ingredients are fresh, and they have a plethora of gluten-free options. Can’t really ask for much else.

I’ve always had off experiences at this place. Tonight, I bought two cookies and two sodas to gift to homeless and the total was over 10 dollars. Two cookies and two sodas. Over 10 dollars. Those really are Tokyo prices.

I had forgotten about how much my family and I have loved this place! Yes, it’s a chain, but a dang good one! Love how it’s so easy to customize your order or pick from their signature bowls. I have always gotten the rice bowls, and loving the fact they have gluten free and vegan options. Yes!!! Fresh food that always hits the spot! This is a go-to if you have no idea what you want for lunch or dinner, and the kiddos are with you. :)

Great spot! The service was phenomenal. The girl taking our order extremely honest her favorite dishes, and even about the ones she wouldn’t recommend. That won us over. The food itself was great, and very well priced. The servings were far more generous than I expected. I’d recommend the yakitori bowl! Fast food at its finest.

This a new chain that I tried today as I am usually not the type of person to hit up chains. Tokyo Joe’s was a great quick fast meal that I could enjoy, feast on sushi without my bf, and was friendly to my wallet. The price for a four piece roll was $ 3 and quality was spectacular I got the classic California roll and the crab wonton roll. California roll was delicious with just the right amount of ingredients. The best of all was the crab wonton roll with sweet chili sauce. The crisp wonton crumbles were a great balance of cold and sweet. I really enjoyed the sushi as it was great quality. Be prepared to order quickly as you move fast through the line. I would love to try a bowl sometime but would have to prepare ahead of what I want in it. Staff is very polite and tend to you very quickly with your food and taking your plate away when finished. Can’t wait to try more at Tokyo Joe’s
