Barricudas is an awesome neighborhood spot with great drink prices and solid food. Are they breaking new ground? No. But every dish is quality and it won’t break the bank. Shout out Mr. Lee, Cheryl, Christina, Jules and Scuba!

I really had a bad time there today. My partner Chuck had just passed away in hospice. on my way home I needed to get something to eat. when I got there all the parking out front was for delivery drivers. I got into it with one of the drivers and cussed him out. Then I parkedand went in and the punk bartender wouldnt serve me food. I told him I would never come back and he just laughed at me and said who needs you? I have been there when we were the only customers there. I guess you guys are busY ENOUGHNOTTONEEDCUSTOMERS. Y

I used to love this place and eat there a lot, both there and delivery. We started getting delivery again recently and it has not been great. The first time the portions were okay and the food was average. Today they nickle and dimed us and did not tell me until they were at our door. I was paying cash and had the exact total I was told plus tip. The driver gave me a different total and explained it to me, I did not want to short the driver so I went back in to get him a few more dollars. They charge 2.50 for a side of hollindaise and it is not that good of hollindaise. Snooze, Racines and even Jelly just charge you about a 1.00 or so and their hollindaise is 10 times better. I also paid for an upgrade from toast to french toast and I got 2 shriveled up pieces of bread with what looks to be egg on it? The«chicken fried chicken» is just chicken tenders with gravy on the side. I will not be back because I am feeling pretty ripped off right now. I could have gotten a bigger better breakfast from McDonalds for 1⁄3 the price. I gave 2 stars because the driver was very nice.

The bartender, Morgan, is fantastic. Great drink specials. Very friendly hostess, waitstaff, and clientele. Good jukebox. Very clean bathroom. Had the Barracuda bites: fish n chips. Delicious. One tragic fail: they won’t turn up the jukebox because of some corporate rule. I get it(Tech Nine), but srsly, we can respect each other’s bad taste. Hehe. The lead bartender, Charles, is very knowledgeable of mixology. Very friendly, funny staff. Family place until 10 pm. Don’t put Peaches on the jukebox during the day.

On a recent trip to Denver I read about this place being open super late so I kept it on my radar while my boyfriend and I were in town. We ended up coming for dinner right around sunset and found parking right in front of the door. Our waitress was very down to earth and had a good vibe. The seating around the bar was completely full and seemed like it was all locals. We sat in a comfy booth and read all of the free magazines set out by the door. My bf and I shared potato skins minus the bacon for a vegetarian version. I had the biggest burrito of my life that took me 3 days to eat full of veggies and covered in veggie red sauce that had the perfect amount of spice. The cheese enchilada was killer and the tostada was the best I’ve ever had. I would go here all the time if I lived in Denver. Amazing prices!

Good food awesome service. I had the turkey jalapeño burger and it was awesome. You definitely can’t tell by the looks of the place but it’s a solid pick.

Ordered Barricuda’s for delivery on a Saturday afternoon. My order arrived faster than expected! And the food was delicious! Husband is still raving about the Breakfast Tacos. I’m inhaled the E 11th St Skillet! The pancakes were not so good because of the syrup that came with them. We will be getting Barricuda’s again!

I’ve seen this place 100 time and finally decided to try it after seeing it on many late night eat top 10 list. I ordered a ½ burger. The place is surely a dive bar but I got to take a sneak at the kitchen on my way to the restroom and it looked clean. They have tons of tvs and a couple pool tables. The staff was nice but not over the top or anything. No worries, they’re good. My girl got a salad instead of fries that came with the burger. The salad was a perfect size. I didn’t like that the hamburgers were made with preformed patties. I did like how crisp and fresh all veggies were on our burgers and in our salad. Not the best I’ve ever had but they were good and i will not hesitate coming back.

SO I know what some of you may be thinking, 5 stars for Barricuda’s? This is a perfect example of judging a place based on what you want and what you expect. Now you’re not going to go to Barricuda’s for fine dining… but the dining is more than fine! This is my go to Denver brunch with a big group(well, not huge, but usually about 6). There is rarely a wait, which is a huge factor(I like SAMs, but man, am I tired of crowded places. We always pick a table in the back corner, and we get served by either Jules or Scuba Steve. Both are complete sweethearts, do a great job with all of our wonky orders, do their job with a smile and are completely personable with their patrons. The place is pretty dimly lit(THANKGOD) for any rough Saturdays or Sundays. The have bottomless mimosas, full bar, and bloody mary’s that aren’t so thick that you feel stuffed from just one. It’s GREAT diner-esque food, and with the lack of a wait, the food pricing, and the bada$$ staff, I will continue to go back. It’s sorta becoming a tradition. OOOOOOH… Barricuda!

I’ve been going to Barricudas for ages. It’s an unpretentious neighborhood staple. We generally come here for breakfast or late night snacks. I think we get a breakfast burrito 80% of the time. Always a solid choice. My only real complain is the horrid pink lighting. It’s not an issue in the front of the house because of all the natural light from the windows, but in the back, it casts a sickly glow onto everything. This morning, I had the huevos ranchero. Definitely good, but portions of rice and beans were supersized. I think there was a least a full cup of refried beans on my plate. Way too much. I saw they deliver now! I think we’ll be ordering breakfast in the future when going out seems like a chore.

Best dive brunch ever, dont let the dated bar look and feel scare you away, the food is great. I challenge you to find another place in Denver that offers bottomless mimosas 7 days a week! Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed, it’s one of my hidden gems of Denver for brunch that you never have a wait on the weekends.

Holy Capital Hill dive-bar, batman! This place hasn’t changed since the last time I was here — some, oh, I don’t know, 15 years ago? But no matter, it is what it is: a local hangout — more bar than restaurant — that offers good drinks and food to bring the community together. We met friends here for brunch and enjoyed a really good spicy bloody mary and a decent benedict. As good as any that I’ve had in higher-priced places and a heck of a lot better than many! If you live here, you probably go here. But if you don’t, you should go. Be comfortable. Hang out. Imbibe. That’s what it’s all about here.

My friends and I came here the other week as we were bored from park tavern across the street. The bar was pretty empty and they had karaōke going on. It’s an odd mix of dive bar with big furniture. Hopefully they spice the place up a little and attract more people. The karaōke was definitely outdated songs.

Barricuda’s is a bar that is located in the same small strip mall as 7 – 11 and also across the street from Whole Foods. My husband and I came on a Saturday night around 8:50 pm. We made an order through for some late night eats and food to take with us tomorrow at the Botanic Garden for a nice picnic. Anyways, a minute or two right before we arrived, we got a phone call from Barricuda’s letting us know that our food was ready for pick up(that is very nice of them to call us). This is what we ended up purchasing: Quesadilla, $ 6.95 prior to tax– I like that the sour cream, guacamole and salsa was packed separately and individually. I really liked the guacamole, it tasted fresh and creamy. Although the quesadilla was consumed the next day, I thought it tasted pretty standard to other quesadillas but good. There was plenty of cheese filling between the tortilla and a large order for one person to eat or to share. 6 Chicken Wings with Ranch Dressing, $ 6.95 prior to tax– My husband picked teriyaki chicken(you can choose sweet and spicy chili honey chipotle barbecue, Shiracha or buffalo). These wings were good and tender. The sauce was sweet and savory. Tofu Melt with a side of potato salad, $ 8.95 prior to tax– Fried tofu with a honey chipotle barbecue sauce with grilled mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes and melted cheese on sourdough. I really enjoyed the seasonings of the barbecue sauce mixture of the added toppings. This tofu was a little on the soft/soggy side and not as crunchy as I had hoped. But considering that I ate this the next day, it is understandable. I really enjoyed this sandwich. It was really good and flavorful, but a little on the spicy side because of the peppers. The serving size of the 2 halves was a really good portion. I also really enjoyed the potato salad. It was creamy and had good flavor. The size of the potato size was more than enough for one person. Overall, this meal with the side is an excellent value and really filling. Half Pounder with a side of potato salad, $ 8.95 prior to tax– My husband ordered this and also went with a side of potato salad(you can choose macaroni salad or fries instead of the potato salad). This sandwich was quite a mighty size that is more than enough for one person. The meat was tender and what you would want in a beefy sandwich. — — — — — — — — — — — — (Total= $ 31.80 prior to tax) When we came into Barricuda’s, pick up was easy and simple, especially since we had already paid in advance(I recommend you sign up for an account with eat24 so that you can get weekend coupon codes to save some money on your next purchase). Overall, we really enjoyed our meals the night of and the next day. Food was perfectly made with the right amount of seasonings and flavor(although not healthy and is greasy/oily). I would come back here for a late night meal and maybe even consider staying for a drink($ 7 for all day pitchers of beer and $ 3.50 well drink specials every day until 1 am).

This is not a high end restaurant, it is a dive bar, but the food here is damn good! Really tasty food– way more than I would have thought just walking by. Shit is cooked with care. Seriously it is better than many diner breakfasts, I have eaten. The prices are low and they serve food to the dark hours, say 4AM? I am a night owl Woo Woo. I work in the service industry and sometimes get home and am starving. We have eaten here twice, and it is now my late night, FEEDME– go to! We had the chicken fingers the first time, they batter them in house. Our friend had a mammoth Mexican breakfast, with corn tortillas and poached eggs, with really good brisket and a spicy and seemed homemade salsa/sauce all over it. They were happy to accommodate her gluten restrictive diet. The other night, I and had a rough day, and I needed some food in me once my adrenaline went down. After 12:00AM they switch to breakfast, which is actually what I was craving. We both had a nice standard breakfast 6.95 $ with eggs, hash browns, bacon, and pancakes all cooked just right. Nothing could have made me happier. I also got to eat breakfast and drink beer with it past midnight! You can also get appetizers and a couple more dinner plate options. The waitress said to try the chicken fried chicken, I will soon. The staff is full of characters, who enjoy there jobs, and make for an entertaining and warm visit here.

Oh, my dearest Barracudas. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways… First, the overall atmosphere. Very unpretentious, with an «everyone welcome» kind of vibe. Like a good dive bar, this place is dark, dingy, and kind of gross. Karaōke on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Some nights are pretty dead, so you can make the bar into your very own concert hall. The people. A mixed bag of college students, middle aged alcoholics, local old-timers, artistic hipsters, punk rockers, etc. etc. Expect the occasional crazy person to enter the mix. Definitely a strange crowd, but the overall feel is super friendly. Cheap, strong drinks. Pool tables, jukebox, and erotic photo hunt in the side room. Next door to the one and only Sexy Pizza, so you can satisfy those late night munchies. In conclusion, Barracudas is high up on my list of Denver dive bars(coming in just behind PS Lounge, Horseshoe Lounge, and the infamous Nob Hill Inn). Definitely a must-try.

Typical dive bar. Smells of long-forgotten urine and mildew, with the memories of better days gone by. The drinks are fine, decent specials and on the cheaper side of things in general. Hard to screw up drinks, even at a dive bar. Staff is fine: decent, polite, prompt, and knowledgable. The food though, is just awful. They talk up «home cooked» and«feel good» food, but it is frozen crap. Literally, all their food seems to be CostCo or Kroger frozen meals. Nachos are .99 store bag of chips, microwaved cheese, and generic beef with a dollop of sour cream and store-bought guacamole. Tacos are pre-made and then frozen, even confirmed by the staff when my friend tried to substitute something else inside them. Come for a drink or two, people watch the regulars, but go elsewhere to eat.
