While doing errands, my wife and I stopped here for dinner. I’ve wanted to come here since I knew they were opening a location in MA, and I have to say I’m glad it’s here. It’s not«line around the block» good, but I will say they served me the best Mushroom Burger I’ve ever had(being deep-fried might have something to do with that). Wifey thought her Smokehouse Burger was too heavy on the cherry peppers. We both loved the Shack Sauce. Portions are small for what I’m paying, especially since everything is a la carte, but I know I’m also paying for the name so, bygones. The cheese fries were fine – a large handful of well-fried crinkle-cut fried with your everyday cheese sauce drizzled on top, nothing that I can’t essentially get anywhere else. Finally, onto the eponymous shake: VERY thick and sweet. I’m unlikely to get the peanut butter shake again, but I look forward to trying other flavors.

Shake shack has no better than McDonald’s or Burger King. It is not worth the money. I got the chicken sandwich that’s the smallest piece of chicken I have seen. The crinkle cut fries are average. Maybe two stars.

First visit here. Not bad No option for a half of a star, so my review should be 3.5 stars. Big place and plenty of seating. You can get your food to go, but eat it right away. They have the calorie content of food on the wall so you can decide. After seeing what the shakes are, I passed. Maybe i will save up the calories another time. I was asked at the counter(which they were pleasant) if I wanted a sample. Delicious! A caramel with vanilla flavored with nuts. I am a chocolate fan, but this one was good! Burger, they are cooked only one way, medium well. I got what I wanted on the burger and it was very tasty. Cooked perfectly. It was placed in a little package made for my burger. Now for the fries, well, I was dissapointed, the same type folks that come in the frozen food section of your grocery store. The crinkly kind. When I got them, they were somewhat luke warm(i have to take them back to where i was going) I would have thought they could make their own? Sorry, just cliché to me. I will come back here again, to get my shake.

Ummmmm, yes!!! I so, so, wish they were open when I was living in the area. I am still dreaming about all the Shake Shack deliciousness. Parking can be tricky at Legacy Place so I recommend going straight to the garage since one of the stairwell exits is literally right next door to Shake Shack. I ordered the Shack burger which was a cheeseburger with bacon caramelized onions. Can you really go wrong? The burger was greasy deliciousness and I wish I was eating another one right now. The peanut butter shake was the perfect compliment to the tasty, tasty, burger. My friends got some of the specialty holiday shakes and they also really enjoyed them as well. I guess I am a purist when it comes to that type of thing. If I am in Legacy Place it will be hard to eat anywhere else. The interior is bigger than you would think from the outside. I was there on a crowded shopping day and everyone seemed to find a seat without a problem even if it was the last one open at the moment. When it is nice out I’m sure that patio gets a lot of use.

the burger I order was pretty good, a little greasy, but very tasty. The shake I got was nice, a little too sweet and thin, but I could have easily asked for less sugar etc.(i’ll remember next time!). Overall a great place, would and will recommend

Really wish there was a shake shack in RI! Great burgers and great service. Busy area so parking is sometimes an issue.

I simply don’t get the hype. The burgers are flavorful but nothing out of this world. I think my elementary school cafeteria had better french fries. Relatively expensive too. I’ll take Five Guys or Smashburger any day of the week over Shake Shack. And if there is a line? What, are you kidding me? This is not a burger to wait for. Bonus star to three(from two) if it wasn’t for the better than average hot dog on the menu.

All I can say is: WOW. The best, tastiest surf and turf burger I have ever had in my life! The store is immaculate, ordering easy, fast and pleasant. So worth the hype!

Discovered shake shack in Vegas and fell in love. Was excited to see that there was one only 25 minutes away from me. The smokeshack burger is phenomenal. The cherry peppers give it just the perfect amount of spice. The cheese fries are good but they over did the cheese. The reason for the missing star is the price. While I wasn’t surprised by the prices in Vegas because everything is expensive there, I was surprised the price was still pretty much the same at this location. Almost $ 60 bucks on burgers and fries for four people is a bit ridiculous.

This was my first visit to a Shake Shack. I’ve heard about them and love a good burger, so I was anxious to try theirs. It was beyond all expectation, here’s why: I’m a burger snob, a real pain in the butt. It seems one simply cannot get a medium rare burger at ANY restaurant or burger joint in the Boston area… with only a handful of exceptions. They come to the table medium well, well done and hockey puck. I know I’m generalizing, but it seems the new norm is to cook any risk of E. coli out of that meat til it’s rubber. We live in a litigious society. Many restaurants now post on their menus, «we cook all our burgers medium or well done». Shake Shake has this policy too… all cooked medium. I went with a couple of friends… each burger was a perfect, dead on medium. Pink in the center, juicy and delicious. Given my experience, even at grass-fed beef burger restaurants(where you often pay $ 12 to$ 16 dollars for the privilege) the burgers are served medium well, to well. I’ve taken to ordering my burgers rare in hopes of getting medium rare. Sometimes even that yields a well done meal. As I said, I’m a burger snob, but for Pete’s sake, how difficult is it to time a medium rare burger? The fries were great too. I didn’t order a shake, I was told they are a meal in themselves. Kudos to the staff at Legacy Place Shake Shack, you can expect me back often. 6 stars

The burgers are really good here the only con is the price as it is a little more on the expensive side. But overall, the price makes up for the food quality.

I’ve been coming to this Shake Shack location at least once a week since it opened. Food options are somewhat limited for employees of Legacy Place. But I can always count on a delicious hot meal every time I stop in. The Smoke Shack is one of my faves. Today I went with the Roadside Shack. Caramelized onions with bacon top this tasty burger. A simple yet delightful flavor. Fries are hot with a slight crisp. But the main reason I keep coming back here and giving my money to this company? The people. What a warm and welcoming staff! I know that good help is hard to find, and I know all to well that working in the food industry can be one of the most stressful and thankless jobs. So, to every employee that works at this Shake Shack location, thank you. Thanks for cleaning up after messy and inconsiderate people, thanks for cooking up some delicious burgers, and thanks for making feel welcome every time I stop in. It is very much appreciated.

I’ve been wanting to try Shake Shack for awhile now and finally got there. I ordered a single shack burger, which comes with lettuce, tomato and shack sauce(whatever that is). It was definitely tasty, the sauce tasted kind of cheesy to me, bun was super soft, think it was a potato bun. I also got the French fries, which are crinkle cut, and I’m so into crinkle fries these days. Overall delicious, and worth checking out.

The hype is there. I have heard it from many friends who live in the NY area. I tried it and have to say i’m let down. After paying $ 6.50 for a shake that was the size of a average fast food small, I was not impressed by the quality. I would instead recommend the ice cream joint right across the way. JP Licks. Im not sure if it is a chain, but it has a more local feel, the prices are lower and the menu is more creative. As far as the food goes, thats overpriced as well, but its on the same level as Five Guys so I won’t knock it. If you call yourself Shake Shack, you better deliver a damn good shake or at least some value.

I kept hearing the hype about Shake Shack. My friends love it, I find it okay. I had it the first time in Harvard Square, and I thought it was hyped. Yesterday, I went to the Legacy place location. I got the single SmokeShack, and a side of fries. It was pretty good. Not as good as Smashburger or Wahlburgers! I decided to get the 50⁄50 since my mom got the Draught Rootbeer. The 50⁄50 was okay, but my mom’s rootbeer was my favorite. I thought the interior was nice, it’s a little dark. The only downside was that the pager they gave us did not buzz, so I did not know my food was ready until they started calling my name. I would return however, and I find it adorable that they have treats for your dog too!

It was time to find out why the Shake Shack was so popular. I finished my meal and am still wondering. I was stunned and thrilled when I saw they had Vienna Beef(VB) hotdogs. We are far from VB’s hometown, Chicago, and I thought this would be great. Well, not so great. First of all, I am not even sure they were VB hotdogs because they were so salty. One of the people who works here said customers complain that the hamburgers are too salty. What do they do to make hotdogs extra salty? The fries are supposed to be spectacular but again, they were disappointing. They were okay but not fantastic. Very simply, they were not burn-your-mouth hot. On a scale of 1 to 10, the crinkle cut fries were almost a 7. The prices are reasonable so I will come back and try again. New Yorkers have loved Shake Shack for quite a while and so we’ll see if Boston can do as well. Stay tuned!

Was pleasantly surprised to see that this had just opened. Very short wait; this is a refreshing change from the ludicrous lines in NYC. The burger – got the one with cherry peppers. Very delicious, and dare I say… delicate? It looks like it will be quite messy and need to remain nestled inside the paper wrapper, but lo and behold if it doesn’t hold together to the very last bite. Fries:average. Not special. Excited to order the salted caramel hot chocolate. Waited 15 minutes for them to bring it out, only to be told that the machine was broken. Offered me a free soda to compensate. Then, 20 minutes later, the manager came out with a free salted caramel hot chocolate — very nice touch. Three comments about the salted caramel hot chocolate: 1. Possibly hot. Just slightly cooler than the core of the red giant star. Had to sip it gingerly for about 20 minutes to get it all down. 2. Didn’t really detect any taste of either salt or caramel. 3. Disregard point number two. The actual chocolate flavor was so luscious, smooth, velvety just like a Ghiradelli bar of chocolate melted down slowly… Perfect!

Can’t go wrong. NY’er glad you came north! Only complaint would be your rumored secret menu(PB burger) but your employees didn’t know what I was talking about. Bummer.
