I was eating the quarter chicken and by the time I was digging in the chicken ripping pieces off to eat I caught the chicken bleeding from the inside. Be mindful I was pregnant at the time eating the chicken! Worst thing ever!

I came here late like 9:30pm and they still had ribs . I ordered the whole chicken family meal with no bread and Caribbean Ribs. Yummy ribs and the lady looked to see if they were good for me(I asked) . Brown rice and black beans as the sides. The black beans were an inch + watery on top, my only complaint. The cilantro garlic sauce was very garlicky and so good. Curry mustard is also a win everytime. The ribs were succulent and have a great flavor to them, my first time trying Pollo’s Ribs, when I’ve tried before at other locations they have been sold out. 20 $ before tax, such great value for a few meals. They remembered to not put in the bread rolls, unlike the other drive throughs I’ve been to. Fast service hardly a wait at all.

This is the worst Pollo Tropical there is. I live close to it and it is always bad. Bad service. Bad food. My last visit this week. I overheard a customer saying to the staff they did not receive their bread with their meal. I thought nothing of it since it was for a fine in guest. I was also inside and I ordered for take out. As I drove away, something told me to check for my rolls. They did not put them in. I drove back for my rolls. No sorry. No apology. The girl put them in a bag and handed it to me. Then 10 mins later I got home. My wife had ordered her meal with rice and black beans. Guess what? No beans. I called and spoke to Carla. Again. No sorries or apologies. Only thing said was to come back and get it or see her next time. Well there will beni next time. Bread was dry. No beans. Bad service. This franchise needs to close. It’s not the frat time Ive had problems. Previous time they were out of chicken quarters and substituted breast instead. No more. Enough

I come to this pollo tropical location often. Sometimes the drive thru asks you to pull around to the front and they will bring the food out to you. On two occasions they took more than 15 minutes!!! On the other hand, the food had clearly come straight off the grill and it hot and fresh. The food has always been excellent, but the service is definitely hit or miss!

Whenever I want dinner for the fam without cooking, Pollo Tropical comes to the rescue. This location, however, is very hit or miss. It’s very rare that everything is good — if the chicken is well cooked with crispy skin, then the rice is dry and undercooked. If the rice is delicious, the chicken skin will still be chewy(eww). And if both the rice and chicken are good, then the beans are too watery. I’d love to be able to come here and get a consistently good meal, but it hasn’t happened yet. Why do I still go then? Because it’s quick and convenient, and *used to be* a good deal. The last time I went, the family meal(whole chicken, rolls, rice and beans) cost $ 14 and change. No thanks. I’ll only be coming here from now on if a have a coupon, or if I’m just *that* exhausted.

We don’t have this chain where we live, so my bf was excited to test it out for dinner. We were absolutely disappointed. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived. The cashier informed us that we would need to wait for 15 minutes for chicken. Hmmmm… this place is primarily serves chicken and it’s @ 6pm — which is dinner time and THEYAREOUTOFCHICKEN? That’s poor management and planning. We were flexible and decided to stay. We watched the manager while we were there. She was incredibly rude and disrespectful to her staff. She yelled horrible things to them, right in front of customers. She was verbally abusive and seemed to lose control. I don’t know how Carla became manager at this store, but she definitely should be fired immediately. Before we left, we approached the cashier and asked her if she was ‘okay’. She shrugged her shoulders, looked at her manager behind her and attempted to smile at us. This was a horrible experience for all of us.
