Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I come here twice a week to get Flatbread pesto and strawberry limeade smothie. I also like the mango magic smotthie. The thai chicken wrap is good too. Like the music they play and have wifi. :)

Not what I expected. Went in for breakfast expecting something mediocre to eat but was quite surprised. The southwestern wrap was delicious!

I’ve been here a few times. The smoothies are delicious and LARGE. I cannot add a sandwich so I can’t say how delicious the chewable food is. The service has been great each time. My only suggestion is: mop the floor (very sticky).

Great place, especially if you have a coupon. Good sandwiches with vegetarian options and smoothies to get your fill of vegetables.

I really love the smoothies and have gotten them multiple times, however the service today (5÷7÷16) was horrendous. First off, I ordered at 4:01 and I didn’t get my smoothie until 4:30 when I had to get up and ask because customers who came in after me we’re getting there’s before mine. Hire better staff that do things somewhat in order, and know how to spell names. Keeping smoothies in the back is really unprofessional, that’s where mine was for thirty minutes, while others strolled in and got theirs. If I hadn’t have asked, I would have been there all night. I love the smoothies, but I’ll just go to M&H cause they don’t have ghetto employees that «forget» about orders and fool around the whole time.
I was here two weeks ago, and the service was nice but the different employees today were a mess. I have been for like 3 years every week or so and I usually like the service and the smoothies.

Nice nice nice, great smoothie and great food, service is fast and the crew is very welcoming nice hospitality.

Went there on a Sunday after 5 and the cashier was good but the crew making the food and drinks were young and more interested in chatting with one another then doing their job. Got my sandwich way ahead of my smoothie. The place was busy but people had to wait awhile due to the socializing of the staff.

Food is good. Smoothies are great although they are huge portions!
Had an issue with an employee that worked there who refused to give us extra sauce. We told them we are regulars and just didn’t have cash on us to pay for it. They refused. When we handed him a $ 100 bill the. He let us have the sauce and told us to not worry about the charge.

I Love this place. It does get busy though because lots of people like it too. Usually around lunch and early evening times. Perfect for when you are running errands and have only precious time to eat something healthy. Island Green smoothie with your favorite add-​on and no turbinado. Its heavenly. I also like their tacos and the Baja Chicken Flatbread. SOO good. I rated it 5 stars for food quality and choices, but $$ (2) signs because between a shake and a lunch item you are over the $ 10 per person. They often have coupons that make combo deals under $ 10.

I’ve been to Tropical Smoothie Café a handful of times now and I have to say, I’ve been pleasantly surprised on how good the food and smoothies are. I generally prefer a flatbread with a smoothie, which costs about 8 dollars and a decent deal. I’ve tried all the flatbread options here and I think the ones with chicken have more meat than the one option with steak.
Their smoothies are delicious and taste fresh. It’s a hefty size and not overly sweet. If I wasn’t that hungry, I would contemplate on just having a smoothie as my meal. I also have an allergy to peaches, so I appreciate that they haven’t contaminated any of my drinks yet. They always have plenty of options and specials every few months to go with the seasons or current trends. I have no particular favorite smoothie, but they had a good beet one a year ago, and most recently, I got the one with pomegranate. One of my friends prefers the ones with vegetables to make sure she gets her week’s worth in one go. Last time I went, one of the employees got started on our smoothies while we were in line to speed up the process. They also have a mailer out right now with coupons, and there’s a deal for 2 flatbreads, 2 smoothies, and 2 sides for $ 13.99, which saves you about 4 – 5 dollars. The place is generally clean, and it’s just a nice spot to grab a bite that’s fast and simple. There’s a good amount of seating on the inside and it’s right by Target, so it’s convenient for running errands too.

What I like most about all Tropical Smoothies, is that they use real fruit and fresh ingredients, unlike other smoothie places that load you up with sugar by using juice blends and awful syrups for flavor. Tropical smoothie is the place to go for a real smoothie.
The staff has always been friendly, and people need to relax about them taking too long to make your food or drink. This isn’t a fast food joint. I’ll wait a couple extra minutes for friendly service and quality food.
Still waiting to try the bowls, which look great, but last time I visited, they hadn’t had the ingredients delivered to that location yet. They really shouldn’t have the sign up for people to order that if they can’t make it, however. But ordered a delicious chicken salad sandwich as a substitute. I highly recommend that.

Staff is friendly and the food and smoothies great. Come several times a week and see myself continuing the trend. It gets pretty busy but the staff does a good job at moving along the line.

Ok smoothies and food but the wait time is extremely long. I’d recommended more employees during the early morning and lunch time — 25 minutes for two smoothies

We come here on the regular ! Every Saturday morning with the boys after the gym. We always order the same, baja chicken and peanut paradise for the hubby, chicken quesadilla jetty jr for my oldest and chicken pesto with lean machine for myself! Today we got out little one his first jetty jr he loved it! I use to come here more often for lunch since I worked down the street. I’ve never been disappointed with their other options of smoothies or food selection. They always have seasonal items this time was rice bowls.
The employees here are always happy and nice. They usually have about ¾ employees when I go. If a group of people go in then the smoothies take a little longer to make but nothing to make me want to complain I know their trying their best.
For now I will continue going to tropical smoothie kids love it daddy loves it and mommy too!

Good stuff. Getting busy. Wouldn’t recommend if in a hurry. Getting busy around 12 noon

My sister I went to Tropical Smoothie Café last week because of the amount of reviews on Unilocal,i decided it could be worth my time. I walked in and it was very busy no tables to sit at, so i opted to take out. I was planning on ordering a smoothie and a wrap but the prices discouraged me to purchase both. I decided i was more hungry than thirsty and ordered a tasty turkey wrap for $ 6.99 the same for my sister but she ordered the thai chicken wrap. When we reached home i was disappointed on how small the wraps were, the taste was pretty basic nothing spectacular. I think this place is hyped up for no reason and is overpriced. Power Smoothie is better.

So, a colleague and I decided to give Tropical Smoothie a try instead of doing «the usual» and going to Pollo Tropical.
The staff was friendly and nice. However, the gentleman that took our order was also trying to answer the phone and take phone orders or answer questions. The customer ahead of us suggested that maybe he do one or the other since the line inside the store was getting long. A co-​worker told the customer that he (the other employee) would get in trouble if he did not answer the phone. I was standing there thinking that they are going to begin losing customers that are actually in their store if orders for those customers didn’t speed up.
Anyway, pleasant ordering process, once we got to the front of the line.
We sat at one of the only tables available, since most of the people sitting and waiting were only waiting for their smoothies to be made. I had to get napkins to wipe the table down. Not bad, just a little gross.
When the food arrived, I was a little surprised at the quantity of food. I ordered two tacos and they must have been the smallest tacos I had ever seen! Then, I was thinking about how much I spent on these little tacos — $ 6. Maybe that’s not bad. But, it was the first thing that went through my head.
The tacos were very flavorful, despite their size.
Would I try it again? Probably not.

New year, new me! There, I said it.
Seriously though… I am trying to eat a little healthier this year because I realized I am not getting any younger, and I need to start taking care of this temple.
I came in to TSC for a quick lunch meeting. On the menu? Smoothies!
I got the Mango Magic: Mango, Pineapple & Non-​Fat Yogurt. The large is MASSIVE– really filled me up. It’s also really delicious. It didn’t have that «powdery» taste/​consistency that you get with smoothies sometimes.
The place was pretty busy — and if I am in the area I’ll come back to try a sandwich or salad. The staff was nice — even brought over the smoothies for us.
At the end of the day TSC is three things: Quick. Healthy. Reasonably priced!

Its more of a 3.5 star rating, but 3 would definitely be too low.
What I like:
Its clean.
The smoothies are amazing.
The service is very pleasant
Its very affordable.
What I don’t like:
It takes them about 8 minutes to make a smoothie. Even if the place is empty.
So, if you are looking for a place to enjoy a salad, wrap or smoothie, this might be the place for you. Everything seems pretty fresh and the staff is quite nice. However, if you are pressed for time, this is not the spot for you. They will take their time, probably to go along with the Island theme.

Ok I’ve been here several times already and all I can say is:
THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW SLOW SERVICE RUINS A BUSINESS.
It is unreal how slow this place is! I stopped by here to grab a quick smoothie for lunch — BIG MISTAKE. If there is ever a line then forget it because for some reason TSC can’t get their act together if there are more than 3 people in line. I’ve been here before with no line and it’s been great but anytime there is a line the place slows down to an unbelievable crawl.
Here’s the breakdown:
Food — 4 stars. Great smoothies, be sure to ask to make it with NO SUGAR and use Splenda instead. Also extra protein is only $ 0.99 more. I have also tried the Jerk Chicken wrap and it’s pretty good.
Service — 1 star. It is unfathomable to me that the service is this slow considering that they have been open for so long. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that 1) Lunch time will be busy 2) If the line is out the door you don’t have enough competent people working the shift.
While I was sitting there forever waiting for my smoothie there were at least 2 people complaining to the manager at how long they had been waiting.
Dear Management — GET A GRIP!!! HIRE MORE PEOPLE!!!
