Rosati’s Pizza

I’m sorry but I am so unimpressed with rosatis. I first went there when I started working in the area and the pizza had no flavor so I vowed to never go there again. One day over a year later I thought I would give them another try and ordered a salad and tomato bread. Never again. I’m sorry but the guy at the counter looked hungover and unenthusiastic about his job. But all that aside the food was just so bland. My salad had wilted pieces and the tomato bread was literally a piece of bread partially toasted, tomatoes that were practically raw, and cheese. That’s it. No olive oil, no garlic, no salt even. How do they get any business is what I want to know. And on top of that I waited 20 minutes for my order. I try not to be vocal when I’m displeased but I can’t help it.

Rosati’s always is consistently delicious and fresh. I ordered (for pickup) 2– 16 inch thin crust pizzas and a Greek salad. This is a great pizza, and I should know, having sampled many pizzas from New York to Chicago. These were made to perfection, using a really quality mozzarella, pepperoni and green peppers. The sauce has the blossom of a hint of wine. The Greek salad has a very savory feta, lots of olives and peppers without being loaded down with heavy oil. I have spent way more on terribly disappointing pizzas and am sticking with Rosati’s.

I don’t usually get mad about service because I work in the service industry, but this place is THE WORST!!! We have ordered from there forever since I was a little kid, now my boyfriend and I live together and we live right down the street. So we have ordered from there before and they have forgotten multiple things and then gave us a «credit» on our account.
This time was the absolute worst. We ordered two cups of cheese for the fries and when we got it, the receipt said macaroni salad… so they charged us something like 7 dollars for the two tiny cups of cheese… what?
THEN the delivery driver wasn’t given a soda that we asked for. so when we called back the same girl who didn’t give a hoot in the first place, told us that she would be sending him with the soda right now (first asked if we wanted a credit… NO STOP GIVING ME CREDITS, I WANT THE SODA WITH MY PIZZA) and so then I asked «so now that you messed up… the delivery guy has to drive all the way back her amd waste gas money for your mistake? … so now I’ll have to tip him twice» and she said «no… don’t tip him again.» WHAT??! She literally told me not to tip one of the drivers for coming back here… that’s ridiculous. Horrible customer service.
We will stick to sarpinos.

I moved in this area in October, love a good pizza place. Been eating Rosatis for years. But I kid you not that it is the best Rosatis I have had in a long time. Not just this time but every time I have had it at this location. This is my First night trying the spicy Italian beef and gyro meat with jalapeños on my pizza together and it was so flavorful and good. I usually get of course sausage and pepperoni and jalapeños but I wanted to try something different this time, and it was really worth it, especially if you like gyro and Italian beef meat. GUYS, please keep up the good work because it’s hard to find a good pizza place. I appreciate you!

Apparently, picking up a pizza in «25 minutes» is a very loose 25 minutes.
p. s. Management here was kind enough to get in touch. Stuffed pizza does take longer than 25 minutes to prepare. Will be back. Great stuffed pizza!

The pizza is always pretty good but the employees frustrate me. After waiting 40 minutes, I stopped in to pickup my order and am told I have to wait another 15 – 20 minutes. I ask why and apparently they dropped the pizza. I asked if they can deliver the replacement since no one called to inform me of the delay. I was told I’d have to wait for the driver to return, whenever that would be. So I sit and wait for the pizza, no offer of a discount until I ask for a free appetizer. Giordanos would have been quicker and tastier!

After a less stellar experience with a delivery order and in response to a negative review here on Unilocal,the owner contacted me apologizing for the experience and most surprising gave me a full refund.
We ordered from Rosatis again and the delivery was on time, correct, and good.
I really appreciate the owners effort and his desire to keep my business.

Decent pizza place.

The food is amazing! My favorites are the Chicago style pizza and the Valentino pizza. Both are soooooooooo good. I ordered the chicken parm this time and was pleasantly surprised for a pizza place how good it was!!! It was better than maggianos! And the portions are huge ! I definitely recommend !!!

To the 2 previous Unilocalers. Since we have called more than once and I corrected the problem when the mistake happened im not exactly sure what on earth you are talking about. Like I told Rylee in a private message (I guess I need to make it public for you Courtney) I recieved a call about a salad being wrong, I asked if you would like a refund and you agreed. At no point in the entire conversation did you ask for a new salad, if you did I would have absolutely no problem sending out a new one. I spoke to you politely and you spoke politely back to me so I have no idea where this hostility is coming from. We called you back the next day to try and further fix the problem and left a message but amazing no response. Dont bash resturants on Unilocal and say poor service when I tried to it better for you and you seem not to want to be an adult and respond to us.

This customer service here is despicable. We always order out on Monday’s at work… often it is Rosati’s. So we ordered delivery today (5÷4÷15) that only consisted of 3 salads.
One Caesar with onion.
One Caesar without onion.
One Greek salad.
What we got was three Caesar salads with onion. Okay… so we call to see if they can at least re-​deliver the Greek Salad. The guy on the phone said NO and that he would give us a discount salad in the future… ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Then he says that we can deal with it because they’re basically the exact same thing.
Dude, are you drunk at work? The Caesar salad has no feta, no olives, no banana peppers, its even a different type of lettuce and there was no Greek dressing.
So now I’m eating a nasty Caesar salad and I hate that dude. Mondays are the worst… and so are you Rosati’s. Never again.

The pizza at this place is unbelievable. I ordered a thin crust and a Chicago style pizza — phenomenal. I have had a lot of Chicago pizza over the years and this place truly takes the cake. They do 50% off on Mondays and Tuesdays — you can’t beat that! They also run a lot of really good coupons and promotions throughout the week. The two Italian guys who run the front counter are always so friendly — not to mention they’re pretty easy on the eyes as well. This will be my go-​to place for pizza from now on — you can’t beat the price and the quality of this place.

This was seriously some GOOD PIZZA. My husband and kids loved it. This is our favorite pizza place in our area.

We HATE that we LOVE this pizza. It is VERY over priced and each time we order it and hear the total, we vow to never order from here again. However, each time we eat it, we again concur that it is the BEST damn pizza ever. We end up calling them every time…

I cannot think of one time where the pizza was unsatisfactory. Great food all around: thin crust to Chicago style.

Rosati’s serves up the best pizza in the Chicago area. I always get it for takeout every time I head back home. Never disappoints, and if I only have a weekend in Chicago, I’ll go here over any other place.

Stay away from these crooks. They rob you blind. The pizza on their website was 2 dollars cheaper than what they charged me when I got in store (not including tax)

The pizza is flimsy, soggy and greasy. Ingredients mealy. The customer service gives off the «I’m doing you a favor» persona by taking your order.
Couple all of the above with a high price and it’s a recipe to go elsewhere. With so many other good choices in the area, steer clear of this location.

He was about to hang up, when I asked if he needed to take the credit card info… Smh
We got an extra large Fabulous Four thin crust… For $ 38… Freakin $ 38???
I was thinking to myself… Shiet, I should’ve ordered from my favorite Lu Malnatis… Pizza is always perfect.
Anyways, I was craving for thin crust… So we waited for an hour…
When it arrived, it was not hot at all… Super greasy… And crust is soggy… Gross!!!
Really disappointing.
I had to complain… So I called and spoke to Nancy… She said that she is the manager.

Nancy said, she can either give me a new one or give me $ 5 credit.
Do I wait another hour to wait for food? Or do I get a lame $ 5 credit!!!
Grrrrr… Not good options, and I will never order from them again.

Tried the steak sandwich after seeing it rated in the Top 25 sandwiches in Chicago Magazine.
The sandwich was pretty good — definitely different. I’m not used to eating breaded steak with cheese and marinara sauce. Although, it didn’t meet the expectations I had for it after reading the magazine, I would order it again!
My wife had the mostaccioli, which came in a good sized portion — enough to feed her, our 3 year old, with some left over. She enjoyed it.
We use to order their pizza at the Hinsdale location years ago, which is also pretty good. Overall, a solid place for take-​out sandwiches, pastas, and dinner. Will definitely be back.
