I’m not from Danville, but whenever we visit we come here for pizza. Delicious pizza and fun atmosphere. Can either be crazy packed or surprisingly empty, but either way it’s always a good experience. Only 4 stars because it is a bit pricy.

If I could give negative stars, I would. My brother in law originally posted a review for our first and last visit on Monday October 19th, which was subsequently removed from the Unilocal reviews. We were with both sets of our parents and my brother in law. I have two small, five pound service animals. Knowing laws allow us to enter eateries with our animals, we have still always made an effort not to do this. When we are in a situation where we don’t have a choice and need them with me, we are very respectful. We always carry both in hand, never let them on the table, chairs or floor. We always choose tables outdoors or away from other people who may be eating. We recently purchased a home in Danville and were showing the home to our parents and brother in law. We are from out of town, and my parents were hungry. We thought to take them to a sports bar to watch Monday night football and have pizza, which my dad was craving. This was my parents’ first experience in Danville… We entered and were not greeted. We proceeded to seat ourselves, and having the dogs with us, we chose a table in the back and to the side away from everyone. We also kept them in our hands. After we found a table and were seated, the bar tender(Caucasian male standing behind the bar on October 19th around 8:30pm) told us we were not allowed to be here with the pets. We proceeded to tell him they were service animals and he then smirked then laughed at us stating they could not be service animals. He then noted they needed to have visible tags. I responded they were indeed service animals and yes, I did have their tags, HOWEVER, it is not required to have these tags on display, as many people who require service animals do NOT want their disability publicized. The law is the tags do NOT have to be visible, just available to show, for this very reason. I was more than happy to show him the tags, however he continued to laugh and scoff, talked to the other people in the bar and embarrassed us. Not all disabilities are visible. We are not confrontational people so rather than arguing, we left to FIELDHOUSE across the street, where we were welcomed with open arms and given GREAT service. I was truly disappointed with our first experience with our parents in Danville, and wish it would not have been at this customer UN-friendly location. I plan on filing a formal complaint on behalf of Americans with Disabilities Act. I highly recommend FIELDHOUSE for anyone who may be in a similar situation or if you are looking for a great atmosphere, food and service. I am disappointed and surprised the initial review my brother in law wrote was removed. MINUS stars for this place.

Pizza was good but the pricing made no sense. Mini size pizza was 13 $ and the next size would’ve been 10 $ more expensive. The service was nice, so is the location with a lot of parking. So to me really the price was not okay.

This pizza place was by far the worst experience of customer service in all my years. The managers are incompetent, often unhygenic, and rude. All the workers are highschool kids who do not care about customer satisfaction. I found a hair in my ranch

Food was great. The large cheeseburger pizza easily fed a group of 8. However it was over 30 $!!! Definitely pricey but worth it every now and then. I would sticj to your normal frozen pizza on average

Great pizza joint for the weekday lunch crowd. I enjoy the garlic butter they spread over their dough. Good atmosphere and comfortable seating. For the most part I haven’t had any issues with service or food. There are times when it gets super busy and I feel they are under staffed but you can’t always predict when that will happen. The staff is accommodating and generally very pleasant. If you’re in the mood for good pizza at lunch time I’d hit up this place. Prices are a bit high(I think) when you order off the normal menu. Then again I don’t know how much pizza goes for these days.

My Pizza was really tasty but there is literally no service to be had other than when getting the pizza delivered to your table. Also, I asked one man to get me a toothpick and the rude couple next to me tipped him twenty dollars and told him i was an a**hole. So I guess there is some unspoken rule about the customers’ expecting no service. Pizza was tasty though.

To me there is no better pepperoni around. This family also knows how to run a good business. All of their pizzas are amazing and if you have not tried their wings you are missing out. Many flavors to choose from.

We came in to eat here with our soccer team and families in between our games. We live about an 1 ½ hours away. We figured this would be a comfortable place to get lunch and enjoy our win. One of the employees asked one of our families if they were done and if so could they move as they had a customer who was complaining and needed a place to sit. We were very disappointed with their customer service & we didn’t feel welcomed at all.

I literally cannot eat any other pizza now since having Ascona’s! It is SO good! I don’t know what they put in there but It’s amazing. Every week we have their pizza & it’s packed in there! There is a reason its packed, because its so good. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because its pricey.

I just spent $ 10 on the garbage of a combo platter that looks like crap. I’ve never been pleased with asconas and after this piece of trash I refuse to come back.

The missing 5th star is only because of price. This is very expensive pizza. But it has virtually ruined me for any other. It’s that good. Despite the price, this is the only place we go for pizza now.

Last 2 orders the pizza had a severely burned crust. I asked to please be careful and they undercooked it to a point it was a half baked pizza. Not good.

Dough is thick and tasteless. What a local disappointment. How to ruin a pizza, with a bunch of kids and no adult in charge. And they call this a pizza? Domino’s is a better choice. And that’s sad. I know we are stick with few local choices but Ascona doesn’t even make an attempt. Go with Amici or even Z pizza.

Went here for the first time yesterday. I was somewhat satisfied with the food. I ordered the 6 wings(breaded) and a large pepperoni pizza with a soda. Bill came out to $ 37.86! Can you believe that? Wings were $ 5.95 Soda was $ 2.50 And a one topping pizza… 27 bucks! I do not want to find out what a combination will cost me.

Love this place. Drive miles out of my way to eat here. Quality ingredients do the trick. They brush the crust with garlic butter for a unique flavor. It is very much a family place but with a sports edge. The ceiling features hanging pizza paddles signed by area sports figures, both pro and amateur. There are lots of tvs around to follow the game if you like. Ordering is a bit of a chore. The food and drinks are ordered in separate areas. If you are charging the purchase they keep your card until you are ready to check out. The bar where you order drinks is pretty busy and there is generally only one person taking orders, filling them and tending the bar customers. Lots of draft beers. And a full liquor license. You can by sodas by the bottle or from the fountain. Be aware there are no free refills. We’ll be back.

Went there after soccer game and was rushed out of restaurant. If your open till 10pm, it’s RUDE to have your soccer team pushed out of restaurant at 9:40pm. There are other places to take boys soccer team after a win.

Ascona’s, you sure have some yummy pizza. I have come a few times with two of the boys I nanny, who are 4 and 10, and they love the pizza. We order a small pepperoni and two drinks every time and the total is 25 dollars?! That is insane. I can go to another local place and get a large with two toppings and two drinks for the same price, actually a bit less. Also, the people here aren’t very friendly, I spend more effort asking about their day and such than they do with me, talk about horrible customer service. I honestly would have given them 4 stars if they fixed this. You would think they see their Unilocal reviews and do something about it. I will come back with my boyfriend one of these days, and I’ll try and see if there’s better service.
