Cheap drinks and friendly staff. Can’t get much better. The bartenders let us sample beers before we bought them and they had Sunday happy hour deals.

We really liked this place a lot. The atmosphere is laid back and completely unpretentious. Loved the fact that they have Lakewood Temptress on tap. Bartender was friendly and nice guy. Lot of TV screens if you want to watch sports. Pool tables, juke box, what more do you need? Will return for sure.

Thank the Nordic gods for places like this. Two pool tables, decent pours, attentive staff, and a vending machine featuring jerky and smokes. Sure, the music can get awkward with the random hour of 90s alt-rock, but that’s just when you escape to the patio for quality people watching.

Went here on a Tuesday afternoon with my wife and we had a pretty good time. Bartender was very friendly and introduced us to some new drinks we had never had. Had a good vibe. Would go back for sure. Jukebox was playing alot of hip hop from the 90s which was cool.

Came here Saturday night as the last stop on a celebration for a recently graduated friend. One of the more crowded spots on Lower Greenville, the music is loud and the wait for the bar is long– but that’s to be expected because drink prices are reasonable and there’s a fun, casual vibe at the Old Crow. Get to the edge of the bar as close as you can and make eye contact with a bar tender. There’s a decent selection of craft beer here as well, which was surprising and there were no lines for the bathrooms which was even more surprising. There are pool tables, although I have no idea how anyone can stand playing pool while dodging all the people. We had a great time, will be back.

This place is interesting. It’s comfortable, yet not necessarily friendly. Bartenders are it super engaging or rushed. The music is always good, and they have great Jell-O shots, fireball shots on ice, and pool tables. It’s a great stop on an evening on lower Greenville.

The Old Crow’s main attribute is that it feels comfortable to wear like an ordinary old shoe. On a rainy Saturday The Old Crow was the most happening spot on Greenville after midnight, neighborhood ordinances don’t allow patios to be open after that time. Bumpin pool table action, and a generous Jameson rep whetted the scene with a kind down to earth crowd bouncing around in this dark basic straight bar. The high communal bench seating offers the chance to meet happy breeders and exchange numbers. A clean sort of dive bar with a solid type of energy and a cute type of clientele that more than likely is looking to be picked up.

This place is cool! It has good music, good vibes, and so-so drinks. Fun place to grab a drink with friends. They have video games, pool, and darts. Worth checking out.

Love going in here for pool. I’ve been here when busy or slow and it’s always been pretty quick service. Old Crow is a solid dive. On another note, I’ve liked the people who I’ve met here.

I’m not a person who does dive bars much, but for a dive bar I give the old crow a thumbs up. I like that fact there are plenty of tables all around. If you’ve been crawling on Lower Greenville sometimes you want to sit and the Old Crow will not let you down. The drinks are reasonably priced and even better they are not watered down. The front of the bar kind of dark, perfect for telling secrets or lies to a stranger. If you looking for fun and games they are in the back, pool tables and darts and some more light and even a little room to dance if the mood hits you. All in all it’s a really good place for a big group to drink, laugh and people watch. I would definitely stop in the Old Crow again.

Ahh the old crow. This and singlewide get my votes for best lower greenville bars for the non-uppity crowd. Cheap drinks, dark ambiance, friendly staff, and a huge interior space and patio set it apart from nearby places like Blind Butcher where you’re crammed in like sardines. Two pool tables, two dart boards, a jukebox, and a DJ sets up in the front on occasion. Once I saw a guy light his hair on fire at the bar. Thankfully the ventilation is pretty good so it had cleared out by the next time I was in. You can bring outside food in too since they don’t serve food. All around great low key bar.

Large bar with a laid back atmosphere, the bar tender was very attentive too. They also have pool tables available. My only complaints are that the women’s rest-room was a little scary for me. Plus the music was a little too loud and some of the patrons were loud as well. So if you want to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you prepare to have to scream at each other, or just find a different venue.

One of the last surviving dive bars on lowest Greenville. There got jello shots, jukebox, & a food vending machine if you’re feeling hungry. If you’re looking for somewhere shiny & new this is not the place but if you want a cheap place just to meet up then this is it.

I use to like this place. It’s not the same by far. Whole new staff, and… not the Greenville I once knew. Sad.

This is one of my favorite bars on Greenville Ave. The size is perfect for what they offer and they have both large and smaller tables, which was convenient because we were in a larger group. They also have two dart boards and a pool table where you can pretend you’re awesome even though you might suck like me. On the night we came, the atmosphere was great and it wasn’t too loud. It was juuuuust right.

Nice venue great location very expensive beer. 4.24 for a pint of Lone Star is kinda ridiculous I know the rent is high but damn. Restrooms are disgusting. It has a dive bar smell which I like. Just not the dive bar price.

I’ve been reading the reviews for this and maybe I went on a bad night? It was definitely poppin in here which is why I went in, plus I like divey chill bars. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. We sat up at the bar for 20 minutes and were never greeted or asked for our drink order. We left & ended up at the libertine bar instead… if I ever decide to come back I’ll update my status, but my 1 star remains because I believe that in every establishment your patrons should at least be acknowledged and that’s always a deal breaker.

Awesome bar. Good atmosphere. The jukebox is quite fun. We had some fun putting dollars in. This bar has a lot of character. Very long bar the bartenders were quick and it’s not pretentious here. People are very real here. This is a place to get a cheap drink. Didn’t notice the smell others mentioned.

Old School… darker wood, Lower Greenville bar. I went in early in the day and some regulars were already at it. I killed a bloody mary while waiting to get my hair cut and found the place interesting in the daylight… perhaps you really shouldn’t ever see a bar on Lower Greenville in the daylight? I noticed an odor when I opened the door… this seems to be common with older wood bars and may be hard to deal with. Is it the plumbing? Is it the smell of over indulgence? I can imagine this place full of happy drunk people at night and will likely come and see for myself sometime soon!
