Sofrano’s was on point tonight! The music was great, the crowd was enthusiastic and energetic. Thankfully, there was no cover for gentlemen. I was meeting some lady friends there and had already paid five dollars for a ¼ full Sugar Shack. The signs behind the bar stated $ 25 minimum on CC transactions, but I think that was just to scare people into buying liquor. I closed at at twenty for two doubles. I saw not two, but three women who looked like they had just thrown up dropping down low and sweeping the floor with it. One even clumsily crawled onto the bar and began dancing«sexily.» I’m still exploring Lower Greenville, but Sofrano’s impressed me.

i’ll be back. sure, no one made it rain like they did a few doors down at 180 degrees, and the drinks were more pricey. however, i had a better time at sofrano’s.(plus, sofrano’s was cover-free.) a google search for this place revealed totally shitty reviews, which is perplexing to me. either we came on a good night, or the folks that wrote those reviews had expectations that were several notches too high. the music was great, and there were tons of people that should have stopped 3 crown and cokes ago. the people-watching was a fucking treat. i had a good time.
