I loved everything about Stackhouse. When I visited Stackhouse was serving a buffalo chicken sandwich as the daily special. Theh serve it with fries and bleu cheese. It was so good! All of it. I couldn’t finish the Texas size sandwich because I drank too much sweet tea. Rookie mistake. I’d be stupid not to return.

Good chilly! Really good chilly:) I’m not a burger person but if I will ever buy a burger again it will be at this place. Lovely place decent prices. Love love the place & the lunch hour vibes. Almost excellent ;) Their veggie burger wasn’t great & yes it’s still very heavy for veggie choice. If you’re with babe get the double and split it. Get the fries not the onion rings, and maybe chilly on the side ;) enjoy

I’ve been here twice and so far five stars is well deserved. I had the Griddled Cheese, the onion rings, their homemade oatmeal cream pie, a burger with Gouda and grilled jalapeños with the chili cheese fries. It was all stellar!!! Amazing! Incredible! The people are nice and the place is great. It’s also such close proximity to Baylor and it you have someone admitted there like we do and you’re getting sick of hospital cafeteria food this is a great option to break the boredom. I am sad that I was not able to buy that house when it was available and turn it into my salon Hair In Your Face Dallas but I am so happy to have Stackhouse! Keep doing your thing and we will keep coming back.

This was my first visit. I loved the atmosphere and the overall vibe. However, the food was a little too bland. I really had high hopes, but there was no true flavor. The food was tasteful but you will need to use a decent amount of salt. I suggest getting some water afterwards if that’s the case.

I would totally give this place 5 stars however, this place has the RUDEST staff ever. Like come on people first off your prices are way high to not have good service. You come drop off my burger don’t ask if there is anything I need and heaven forbid i ask for something, insert eye roll, and 5 minutes later, finally have a side of ranch. This also goes to the cashiers who always seem to be having side conversations with co workers. NO way shape or form trying to get anyone in trouble, I am simply stating facts of how poor the service is here. FOODISPRETTYGOOD.

Both the burger and fries were tasty. The price is comparable to similar burger joints. I waited only a few minutes for my order, which they brought to the table.

Best burger in Dallas! Let me start by saying I am a burger snob. I am so happy to have found stack house. Their burgers are juicy(cooked the way you order them — including a nice juicy medium rare to rare if that’s your preference). They have a wonderful artisan bun to complement it. I always add avocado to mine. They have other fun ways to personalize your burger including a wide variety of cheeses, grilled onions, even a fried egg. I can’t pass up their sweet potato fries either. My biggest dilemma is if I go on a Sunday, since my mouth will be watering for the burger but their Sunday special is a delicious Prime rib French dip sandwich. My daughters go to sandwich is the Dagwood which is stacked high with turkey and ham! They have a good variety of beer and a fantastic upper deck patio on a nice day.

Great burgers, wonderful staff, and I really like the upstairs dining, and view of downtown. The fries need work in my opinion, the usually come out undercooked, and soggy. Good beer selection too.

Yes! I love this joint as soon as I stepped in. Fun local beer selection and a generous menu of selection of your burger style and preferences of goodies on top. Also, their fries are pretty great. Just enough crunch and chew to them. The combo is more than enough to fill you up. The flavors of the burger are what you want to expect and get it, not to mention, very moist as well. Yeah, i know how many people love the word«moist» There’s seating indoors and outdoors on the patio as well as on the upstairs balcony that gets you a pretty sick view of downtown. This is a place I would bring guests to have a good burger while in town. You’ve got a new fan.

Stackhouse Burger is a burger joint built out of a converted house just outside of downtown Dallas. While the burgers here are quality, perhaps the best thing about Stackhouse Burger is the amazing upstairs patio. Dallas has plenty of great burger joints, but not all of them have a view like this. My Overall Rating — 4 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — It’s located in a converted home. There’s seating and a bar on the first floor, but head upstairs and you’ll find the ultimate tree house. The upstairs roof has been converted into a beautiful patio complete with plenty of seating, an outdoor fireplace, and an amazing view of downtown Dallas. It’s awesome. 1 Star. Service — You’ll find a mix of counter & full service. You order at the counter, find a seat, and when the food is ready they’ll bring it out to you. On our visit, the servers actually came by to check on us and to see if we needed anything. Nothing but goodness here. 1 Star. Food — You’ll find a quality burger here. While the patty was a bit bland for me, it was big and juicy. The toppings were fresh, and the bun was a nicely toasted egg bun. They use full iceberg lettuce leaves, so if you don’t like that let them know. A burger is only as good as its sides, and the good news is Stackhouse Burger excels in this department. The mac & cheese is served in a personal tin straight out of the oven and is a must order. Honestly a burger with a side of mac & cheese is pretty heavy so be warned. Their sweet potato fries & onion rings are also excellent so be sure you add at least one. It’s hard to go wrong here. 1 Star. Will I Return? — Yes. Stackhouse Burger has one of the best views in Dallas along with quality sides. The burger is good too, not my favorite but certainly worth a return visit. 1 Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.

Stackhouse makes a delicious, greasy, no frills, awesome cheeseburger. The restaurant operates out of an old home in a somewhat run down part of town that somehow only adds to the experience. It’s usually not crowded, so you may get the rooftop deck to yourself. Don’t expect it to be super clean or have fancy service, this place is run more like a bar than a restaurant.

We met some friends here on a Friday evening around 7pm. Luckily, because if the weather, we were able to grab a booth inside without any problems. This is like your typical burger joint, you order at the front and they bring your food to the table. The pricing was fair. We both ordered a burger with cheddar, bacon and a fried egg. My hubby ordered the fresh cut fries and I got a side of onion rings. I enjoyed the fries and the onion rings were okay at first, but I noticed as I kept eating them, I noticed that they had a flour taste to them. It was overpowering. So, I probably wouldn’t order them again. I would come back here again. Nothing out of this world, but a great location with solid food.

This a great burger spot in Deep Ellum. Go when the weather is nice and you can sit up on their roof. The views of Dallas are excellent. You can customize your burgers anyway you want, and they also serve margaritas! Good lunch spot. Small parking lot and other than that you’re on your own street parking around the Swiss Ave area.

I love a good burger! Stackhouse Burger has great burgers! I’ll try to keep this short. Basically it really doesn’t take much to make a good burger, but so many places get it all wrong. Not here! They do all the little things right! First off, I loved the atmosphere as soon as I walked in the door. It has a great neighborhood vibe about it. Maybe it’s the little bar in the back as you come in the backdoor. Or maybe it’s the friendly greeting I got as I came in. You can’t beat burgers and beer. A full bar with a big chalkboard listing the current draft beers. Lots of locals on the list. Nice! You order from the counter and they will bring your food to you. The burger menu is how I like it, simple. You have all the ingredients you need to make the burger anyway you like it. That’s the way to do it, let me build my own. Bonus; they use fresh ingredients, it’s all good. My burger was great, starting with the basics(lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a pickle) then I added bacon and a classic fried egg. The burger was seasoned well, nothing fancy or overpowering. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium. It was juicy and tender and wonderful flavor in every bite! They have a splendid outdoor patio upstairs with a partial view of the Dallas skyline. An impressive place to enjoy friends and a few drinks. Can’t wait until next visit!

This place was a just okay for me. If it weren’t a convenient location I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. I ordered a turkey hoggie with broccoli cheddar soup. And it was just exceptionally bland. The sandwich felt like something I could easily get from a grocery store. It just felt a little dense and was kind of bland in my opinion. The soup was alright. I usually want a broccoli cheddar soup to be light and creamy, but it was super dense too. A little too much for me to handle. Other than that, okay spot for a quick lunch, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s in a convenient spot.

I think people can like this place… and they can also NOT like this place. Here’s the hits: + good bacon + excellent milk shakes + great butter-toasted buns + cool to have a rooftop deck Mixed: — good carrot cake, even though it may be a bit on the heavy side — although I wouldn’t say it’s worth the $ 7 it costs. And the misses: — overpriced — bland chicken in the grilled chicken sandwich — overly sweet oatmeal cream pie — boring french fries(both regular and sweet potato fries) So what’s the verdict? There’s plenty of better burger places nearby and I would probably recommend trying the others out. The burger looks decent, but I didn’t order it initially because I was told that the patties were on the thin side(the guy showed me his pinky to illustrate how thick it was), and frankly $ 9 for that kind of burger is an overkill. But I do have to say that the buns were good. BUT, I would definitely not mind coming back for one of the shakes. I tried the strawberry shake and it was superb.

OMG my friends were right, this has to be the best burgers ever! We came here after running some errands in Dallas. It wasn’t that packed when we came. I ordered the single patty burger with jack cheese and grilled onions. I was told the Medium cooked was just slightly pink as I usually order my burgers Medium Well. I ordered it Medium. When my burger came out, the patty was more of a Medium Rare which isn’t usually my thing… Next time I’ll know to order Medium Well. Nonetheless, this burger was phenomenal. The patty was seasoned really well. We also ordered the fries here and they were fantastic. The mac n cheese were just okay. I did enjoy my burger and can’t wait to go back here when I have another burger craving!

Im the weirdo that goes to a place were everyone gives rave reviews for how great their burger are and orders a salad. But, i have to admit… The salad was awesome! Huge portion. The chicken was tender and had great flavor. Just the right amount of bacon and other fixins. The vinaigrette dressing was a win as well. Maybe next visit I will get on the burger ban-wagon

I owe this place a review! A friend & I came here one Friday night. We were hungry & rolling Deep Ellum. I found this place on Unilocal. We arrive & I love the secluded atmosphere. It feels like a treehouse/clubhouse getaway. They have seating rooftop & alongside the restaurant. The restaurant kind of looks like a 2 story cobblestone house. The parking was free. There are live trees incorporated in the scenery & they are lined with cute little LED lights. The staff was friendly & the restaurant was clean! I snapped a few selfies in the shabby chic hipster decorated bathroom. Awesome music selection. Food was fresh, hot, &DELICIOUS! You an never go wrong with a homemade burger! I had a cheeseburger with jalapeños & bacon! Alongside that, yummy sweet potato fries & a margarita! Prices are average. About $ 9, $ 10 for the meal & $ 5, $ 6 for the margarita! My friend & I still dream of this place. We will be back!

I’ve heard good things about Stackhouse from a friend! It’s in Deep Ellum, near the medical area so it was very convenient for us. The burger is very affordable! The single patty starts at $ 6.75 but customization can make it expensive. For example, cheese is +$ 1 — you get TWO slices though, so it’s not that bad. The fries were plain Jane, good, but nothing special. The onion rings are a bang for your buck! I could imagine getting full off these alone! Thin and crispy, just the way I like them.
