Excellent sandwiches, all the variations I’ve tried so far have been great. Exceedingly good value considering the quality of food and the low price. Venue is hip, fun for friends or family, but maybe not the best date location. Speedy food preparation and service. Could use a tap beer selection. Overall: Great sandwiches for a good price, will visit again.

Was honestly very disappointed. The sandwiches were very greasy and didn’t have that much flavor. I had the shaved beef sandwich and tried the hamburger

It has a cool causal vibe. I enjoyed the happy hippie which is a veggie sandwich they have. The fries and spicy ranch were also very tasty. Kind service.

Visited this place for the first time yesterday with a friend for lunch. The place was not too busy, which was nice. The que was short and went quickly. We ate in, everything was clean and cool. Food came out quick, we both had the Bacon & Goat cheese sandwiches. Loved the twist on the BLT, and would visit again. We also tried the homemade ice cream. Very good.

There are good sandwich places and then there is Uncle Über’s. We have been here several times and this place definitely lives up to the hype. Order at the counter and expect your food in no time flat. They have the whole gamut when it comes to sandwiches. Meat, fish, veggie, and every possible way of serving each. Cuban is my fave, but the slow roasted pork is also amazing. Bacon and goat cheese is out of control good. It comes with avocado, cucumber and tomato. Solid brew selection and a full bar for those looking for hard alcohol. Love the atmosphere and the fact that it is in Deep Ellum is a huge plus!

Excellent, slammin’ sammiches. Been eating here for around a year now. While the shaved ribeye has my heart, you can’t go wrong with their take on the pork or veggie bahn mi. The happy hippie is a nice change of pace from the copious amounts of meat i stuff in my face hole. Great bottled/canned beer selection, good quick service, good atmosphere. Check ‘em out.

Definitely a great spot for a casual hearty dinner and drinks with friends. I ordered the burger and added about 4 toppings, and grabbed a local beer for only $ 13. Haven’t tried their sandwiches yet-but the other 2 in our party had the vegetarian bun mi and the French dip. Only complaint on the French dip was too many onions! Fries are crispy and a large enough portion to share-can get with a secret sauce! Con: wish there was more outdoor seating

Is it sacrilegious that I decided to go with a burger instead of a sandwich at a self proclaimed sammich shop? Wednesday’s tend to bring out the rebel in me lol. Uncle ubers is one of countless burger stops in the Dallas area, but one of the highest acclaimed, as the many awards on the wall will show you. Let’s not forget the winding line, which may seem daunting but moves rather quickly.(And yes you have to wait in the line even if dining in). The staff is very friendly and accommodating, which is tough to do when you serve so many people in such short amount of time. On to the food! –All burgers are customized to your liking. I went with the double, with goat cheese, avocado, and bacon. Lettuce tomatoes onions are included unless otherwise stated. Overall good burger, especially surprised with the goat cheese. I am not a huge fan of goat cheese generally but this was creamy and subtle. The only negatives is how messy the burger was. By the second bite, it was a mission in a half to keep it all together. Also would have been nice to have the patty cooked to your desired doneness. — The fries are great. Well seasoned and on the well down side(my wife would appreciate that). The accompanying sauces are even better! The secret sauce is by far and away the best choice for me, but some might argue for the habanero ranch, also tasty with a little kick. Pretty sure I can decipher some of the ‘secret’ ingredients in the secret sauce, but I’d probably have to go into hiding immediately thereafter. Overall worth the price of admission. Maybe next time I’ll go with a sammich!

I like Uncle Über’s. That shaved rib eye is delicious, and so are their burgers. If this place were closer, I’d likely eat more often. You get basic toppings to choose from when it comes to creating your burger masterpiece — I like BLTO, or sometimes mushrooms with extra cheese. They have lots of different sandwiches to choose from including vegetarian options like their Veggie BunMe and Grilled Cheese. The price point is pretty good, and the service is too. Next up, I’d like to try their steak salad and their Pork BunMe. Casual restaurant. Give them a whirl.

Yes yes yes. If you are in the area please try uncle ubers. It was delicious and even though I went there over 3 weeks ago and I have since left Dallas I still think about the fries with the secret sauce. Yes yes yes. My friend got the blackened fish sandwich which was really good and I got the shaved ribeye sandwich. We both enjoyed our meal but I still keep coming back to those fries with the secret sauce. Guess I should be happy that two of my best friends live in Dallas. It is a dive. Food is reasonably priced. Make sure you get the fries with secret sauce. Feel free to buy me some sauce and ship it to me.

Stumbled upon this restaurant in Deep Ellum today. One of the best burger places in Dallas! I got the single burger w/avocado and a side of fries. The flavors were incredible, I was very surprised! Pretty affordable too, three of us ate and had beers for under $ 40.

Hands down, one of the best sandwich, I’m sorry sammich, joints I have ever tried. I’ve tried and will vouch for the Cuban, the pork BunMe, and the one and only shaved ribeye steak. But I’m here to talk about the SRS. Not a single ingredient overpowered the other in the sandwich. I was afraid for the bleu cheese, but I’m glad I forgot to ask to leave it out. It added the right amount of saltiness to the savory angus beef. That baguette though. It was toasty enough — it wasn’t so crunchy that it cut the roof of your mouth(u know what I’m talking about.) Toasty, but also incredibly soft inside that it just absorbed all the flavor of the sammich. Each bite was exploding with warmth and goodness. There’s a line especially during peak hours like lunch and whatnot, but it moves fast and the food comes out fast too, but don’t worry, uncle über works his magic to maintain the quality of the food. Truly a local gem.

At long last, I’ve made it to this place. I’ve been itching to come here to try their burgers and/or sandwiches. I ordered a double with cheddar, bacon with everything that comes with it(lettuce, tomatoes, über sauce, and all that. The burger itself is flavorful and juicy and have that held pretty good until and ¾ they with it but the star of my night was their fries. It was crunchy and soft at the same time and it was just fresh all around. I’d definitely comeback just for those great fries.

Yum! We love going to Über’s for a sammich. The Cuban and pork bun-me are some of our family favorites. Sometimes they have a special sammich of the day and they are always delicious. The fries and secret sauce are way better than the average sandwich shop. They make their own ice cream with delicious, creative flavors. They serve local beer and soda. They have TVs broadcasting the popular sports events and live music on the weekends. If you haven’t yet, check this place out!

If you love sammiches, then let your Uncle Über make one for you! This spot reminds me of places my friends and I used to hang in during my college years. It’s small, kinda cramped, but has a comfy vibe, so it’s totally OK if you can hear your neighbors’ conversation, and you poke ‘em once or twice with your elbow as you scarf down a saucy, sassy sammich. I had the shaved ribeye steak, «fully loaded» and I highly recommend it. How did they get that delicious crispy caramelization on those ribeye shavings?!! It is topped with grilled onions, blue cheese crumbles, lettuce, tomato, and garlic mayo, and served on a soft, warm baguette. I normally don’t like baguette except for crostini, but to my sheer delight, these guys kept that baguette nice and soft with only a slight crunch on the outside. And, the hand-cut fries are some of the best french fries you’ll find anywhere. They come with a side of sauces(about 6 to choose from). I had the jalepeno ranch sauce which was saucy perfection. It was Wednesday night, which is apparently«trivia night.» That was cool, and I fun playing that. A guy was there promoting a new movie, and he handed out screening passes to everyone, and gave out some cool prizes for the trivia game. A sign mentioned happy hour from 4−7pm. There was also a cocktail menu, but I was so busy stuffing that sammich & fries into my mouth, that I had no time or room for cocktails. This spot should have a place on a «best sammiches in DTown» list!

Cheap bar food doesn’t always mean generic greasy burgers. Uncle Über’s is case and point. I came here really with just one mission… eat the steak sandwich. Mission accomplished. This bad boy is piled high with shaved ribeye, «garnished with a few greens» to make you feel healthy, and served on a nicely toasted roll paired with some fries. Quick service, good eats, reasonable prices, what’s not to like?

In theory, the idea of a double cheeseburger is the best thing ever. In reality, it is even better! Uncle Über’s did not disappoint. Order at the front and they’ll call your name type of deal. I got the double cheeseburger with goat cheese and mushrooms. YUM! Yes it will fall apart. And yes you probably just gained 1.5 lbs. They also have a full bar with mixed drinks, etc. Definitely was a cool spot to check out.

Hamburgers are an American staple. An Icon. Basis of American food culture. We’ve all eaten many. They make us happy. But the burger at Uncle Ubers does much more. After eating this burger I was blissful in ways that can’t be articulated. The flavor. The texture(insert happy face). When I took the first bite of my burger I looked into the windows of baby Jesus’ soul. Go.

It’s been a long time since i’ve indulged in the old school Sammich. They deliver on all fronts. My wife love the chicken sandwich, HUGE, crispy, flavorful. I love the Cuban, again, HUGE, crispy bread, tasty ham and just enough sauce. I cannot wait to enjoy the burger as it looks out of this world.

Garage-type of sandwich(and thin-patty burger) shop with a small stage for small random acts. They had some kind of a raffle when I visited. Their sandwich menu is large and their burger menu is nearly nonexistent. The burger menu is just yours for the picking — as in you pick the toppings and add it to the plain burger. But even then, the toppings are not quite endless. No fried eggs, no pineapple, or any of the more exotic or current popular toppings. It’s much more old school, and they stick to the basics. That’s not necessarily a bad thing if they do it well. But for those looking for more, I’d say to stick to the sandwiches. And in their sandwich menu, they have a good variety, ranging from Vietnamese banh mi styles to Philly cheesesteak style of sandwiches. And even the Cuban. But I didn’t try the sandwiches so you should stop here and read the other reviews. :) Anyways, onto the burgers. They use thin patties, and when I asked if they could make it medium rare, they simply said that they could try. But when I saw how thin the patties were, I realized it was really a pointless question — they were super über thin! So this is how I see it — for people who likes burgers to lean heavily on veggies, pick the single patty. For people who like a balance between meat and veggies, pick the double patty. For those who wants their burger meaty, go for the triple. Simple as that. And the toppings? The avocado and bacon toppings for $ 1.25 each isn’t worth it, as they’re overpriced and you’ll only get a few pieces(you’ll only need a few anyways). The other 50 cents(cheese and mushroom) toppings are fine though, if you want them. And the quality of the buns were good — airy, fresh and tasty. The veggies were fresh and really plentiful. The burger patty was good even though it was super thin. I suppose it would be a good place for burgers for people who are not looking for thicker patty, gourmet style burgers. But for me, if I’m going to sit down and eat someplace for burgers, thin patty burgers are not what I would pick. So yeah, I probably would still recommend the sandwiches. But if you really can’t find anything you want here to eat, you can stick with the homemade ice creams(nice) or the cocktail drinks they make at their bar(which isn’t popular since it’s not what people come here for). But still, this place is rife with options for the finicky American tastes.

I’ll admit I’m a sucker for ridiculous restaurant names. Uncle Über’s is located in a hipster part of town and is worth the visit. My burger was amazing. It was shaped like and as thick as it would be if I was at home being served by my husband. The fries were tasty and crispy and I wish I could have fit more into my stomach. The décor is entertaining and you can get Mexican coke.

Stopped by here for a lunch date before hitting the Perot Museum. All of their sandwiches looked amazing, but my fiancé said they had a REALLY great burger so I decided to order that. I love that I can get goat cheese on my burger here! Juicy, flavorful, well seasoned beef patties(I ordered a double), buttery and toasty bun, and a generous portion of toppings. Their burgers are a hella deal too, starting at $ 3.99. I look forward to coming back to try one of their sammies.

Lookin’ for a quick bite before a Celtics vs. Mavericks game, I stopped by the seemingly closed Uncle Über’s. It seriously looked like it was closed, so be wary! After staring through the window for several minutes like an idiot, I walked in and was warmly greeted by a cute bartender, who immediately took my drink order. I got myself a Blue Margarita and the Smokin’ Turkey. Both were absolutely delicious! There were only two slices of turkey in the sandwich, but they were thick and slapped down with some perfectly cooked bacon. It was light on the garlic mayo, but I was then offered with three different dipping sauces — the Habanero Ranch, Secret Sauce, and House Sauce(spicy). I couldn’t choose so I took all three… an impulsive move which turned out to be a life-changing decision. Freaking delicious sauces. They go perfect with the enormous amount of fries the sandwich comes with — crispy and fresh, but not greasy. Believe it or not, the bill came up to $ 11. What in the world?! A sandwich, fries, and margarita for that little? Sign me up! The bartender and I talked for nearly an hour! He was a very relaxed and awesome guy. Jay(?) — if you’re reading this, you’re the man!

I don’t know if it was because I had a pretty solid buzz going from DE Brewery or their sandwiches are really just that amazing. Casual order at the counter that offers selections of your well known sandwiches at the perfect meet-me-in-the-middle prices from $ 3.99 to $ 9.99. I went for the blackened fish sandwich. Full filet, perfectly seasoned, the bun was fluffy and rich and the habanero ranch and secret sauce was TODIEFOR. My friend ordered the bacon and goat cheese sandwich — which was a essentially a take on the BLT but with goat cheese and it was good as expected. Can’t go wrong with goat cheese. My boyfriend ordered their most popular item, the ribeye sandwich, I won’t knock it, but we didn’t love it. I felt like I got jipped a lil bit on my fry order, I expected to get a little more fries, but they were hand-cut and came out hot and fresh. To sum it up — creative takes on classic sandwiches, bomb ass burgers, unbeatable prices, bangin beer selection, quality ingredients and the best gosh darn dipping sauces I’ve ever had for my sammie and fries.

Stopped by here on a Tuesday afternoon for an early dinner. Had the cuban($ 8) and double cheeseburger special with fries($ 6+$ 1 for cheese). Both were delicious! The burger was juicy and had great flavor. Their spin on the cuban has two different meats, ham and slow-roasted pork. It was good with the uncle über mustard sauce(though I think they forgot the pickles…). Fries were the rustic/fresh cut kind. Cool atmosphere and the waitstaff was fast, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommended.

My experience here was kind of a blur, but all I remember was that my burger and fries were hella good. We came on a weeknight, so it wasn’t crowded, and there was plenty of parking on the street. I ordered the classic cheeseburger with cheddar, bacon, and avocado(yum), plus a side of hand-cut fries. How do they make the burger so juicy?! It was so delicious and meaty and combined with the bacon, avocado, cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc. etc. to make the perfect bite. And their special Über sauce? Delicious. I’d say they definitely live up to their«best burger in Dallas» claim. :)

This place perfectly represents Deep Ellum. Not looking like much from the outside, this dive makes some amazing food. We tried the Cuban, a burger with cheese and bacon, a grilled cheese and the steak salad with a side of fries. There’s really nothing I would change. The Cuban was juicy and savory as it should be, the burger was nicely spiced with crispy bacon and a bun that held held up to the toppings. Even the grilled cheese and the fries were good. The big surprise for me was the salad, stacked with tender shaved ribeye, crispy lettuce, mushrooms, jalapeño slices and feta cheese it was delicious with the smoky habanero ranch. Even our picky kids loved it. In other words, I absolutely recommend this place. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

This place is awesome! My friend who is a Dallas native took us here for lunch today and the sandwiches were great! First off I loved the neighborhood Deep Ellum, it’s got a funky vibe to it, and is lined with unique restaurants, shops, and businesses. This is a very casual restaurant. They have a great beer selection and fun flavored soft drinks that are not the standard Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Sprite products. I had the shaved steak sandwich topped with blue cheese served on a French baguette with French fries and habanero ranch dipping sauce. The sandwich was huge and filled with the thinly sliced steak and it was so tasty. My husband had a burger and it was also very delicious. The fries have a great smokey tangy seasoning on it and they pile the fries on your plate which is always a good thing, one can never have enough French fries! The prices were great for the amount of food you got and we loved the low key vibe. This is a great place to stop for lunch or a quick dinner if you are in Dallas. There is a lot of street parking around the restaurant. We cannot wait to come back and try some of the other sandwiches and burgers!

This place is good but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. Stopped in during my trip to Dallas because of the rave reviews but in retrospect I regret not trying some other places before this one. If you’re a resident of Dallas or staying for a long time, it’s definitely worth swinging by for lunch. The service and décor is pleasant but nothing to write home about. The fries and some of the dips are pretty good, including the habanero ranch. I’m definitely a fan of the shaved rib eye steak sandwich. It was delicious! The cuban was disappointing, though. It tasted mostly of ham, not very flavorful in my opinion. I was surprised at the great reviews it received.

These burgersinclude ¼ lb patties with singles, doubles, and triples available. They’re too thin to get a perfect medium, but stayed moist. House sauce is supposedly a spicy mustard base, but leans more to «secret sauce» in my opinion, still pleasant. Fries are great, crispy, not greasy. Prices on burgers are ok; prices on beer a little higher with a $ 4.5024 oz PBR the real bargain. Service is stellar. The manager handled a slip-up with the utmost professionalism. I would go back.
