Rainbow is a ratchet store. There’s no sugarcoating it. However, they have some cute tops and dresses on occasion for pretty cheap so it makes it worth being exposed to the ratchet every once in a while. I’ve found some cute items here and I tend to seek out the better quality goods here. Unfortunately they have lots of cheaply made items so you just have to disregard those. Staff isn’t overly friendly but given the type of store I just overlook that too.

I used to be able to find really nice trendy low cost(OK, down right CHEAP!) teen clothes for my Kiddling when this store was called Dots. Considering how often youth fashions change and the fickle style of a fast growing girl, Dots was shopping Nirvana for this mom! We’d check out with an arm load of school clothes with barely a $ 100 dent on my budget. And that even included a item or 2 for me. Then… they changed the name to Rainbow, and I find no ‘happiness’ there! Just crap, still cheap, but now cheap looking. I was told it was the same store, just the name changed, but I don’t believe it. The sales associates have also changed and they’re not as friendly as the previous staff. We were very disappointed in what we found during our last visit. The Kiddling is now doing most of her shopping online buying direct from Asian. Happy with the deals and fashions too. But we wish we could still just stop in at Dots :-(

Freaking zero. Negative stars… if such a thing existed. Don’t ask me why I was shopping her to begin with. But if you must insist, I was at the neighboring Target and specifically searching for hair bandanas/matching attire for our team’s 5K the next morning. Didn’t find any there so walked across the street to take a quick peek into Rainbow. I walked in and found no headbands or bandanas, but did get distracted by some super cheap cute pants. Ten bucks for some loungy loose printed slacks. Too cute! So I opted to try them. On my way to the fitting room(carrying this one item), a nice woman showed me the dressing room. As I walked in, I saw and then heard an old man literally chase me down shouting to place my Target shopping bag at the counter. I am not a usual Rainbow customer and though it was a bit weird to me and rather aggressive, I did not object and obliged by this store’s «rules». When I needed a size change, there was no one in sight to help, so I dressed again and hung the previous pair of pants I had tried on the provided hanger. As I walked to return it and exchange it for another pair, the manager shouted across the store at me to «stop» and to leave the pants I was about to return at the counter. His obnoxious behavior caught me off guard and was frankly rude and embarrassing. I understand that this store may suffer a lot of merchandise loss due to theft given the area and clientele, but accusing PAYING respectful customers is out of line and simply uncalled for. I have absolutely no reason or interest to steal anything ever in my life… let alone some $ 10 pants. When I expressed my frustration with his interference with me simply wanting to shop in peace, he was completely indifferent to my concerns and offered no apology. I am not sure if this is a matter of ignorance or just rudeness(or both) but needless to say I had never been a Rainbow customer previously and after this experience I never plan on going back. Cheap clothes and even worse management. No thank you, sir!

This is my secret go-to before a night out to find a cute top! Sure, it only lasts 5 washes but it only cost me $ 11.99! And I feel good about wearing something new. I found two amazing peplum tops here that everyone goes gaga over. Have a cocktail before you go and get ready to giggle at some of the shirts with slogans and rhinestones. They have great cheap sunglasses too.
