Wife and I just finished brunch here in Uptown. Decided to stop in at Brooks Brothers. It’s time to buy suits for both of us. As we walked through the store which was not unusually busy, not a single person even said hello or acknowledged our existence in any way. We felt like Oprah in Paris(if you know what I mean). Oh well we still have thousands of dollars in our pocket. Tony.

After 8 years as a passive Unilocal reader, I’m compelled to write my very first Unilocal review due to the loathsome service I recently received at the Uptown Dallas Brooks Brothers store. Julie Noble, the store manager for this location was rude, condescending, snobbish, and uppity during a recent visit to the point that I feel the need to warn others to steer clear of this location. I had previously been a loyal customer to this location, coming in several times a year and spending literally thousands of dollars at the store to furnish a large portion of my wardrobe, and also acting as an ambassador for the store telling my friends about it and getting them quite a bit of referral business. Wow…I guess all that business I had given them didn’t mean much to Brooks Brothers. All those years of goodwill and loyalty went out the window after a 5 minute interaction with Julie. When I politely asked about the rationale behind what I considered to be a silly store policy, she said«Sir, calm down.» I was plenty calm, but I was frustrated… I had already received confirmation over the phone, I had driven all the way down there, and I’ve been an extremely loyal customer. Julie’s insulting tone continued«This will be the last time we can help you». How dare I question a sacred Brooks Brother POLICY. I might as well have been questioning the Holy Bible. She continued to talk to me as if I was 5 year old and even going so far as to stick her finger in my face and wag it in a degrading fashion. When you think of an awful store manager who hides behind store policies and treats their customers like dirt… think of Julie, the kind of person who can turn a loyal customer into someone who will never set foot in a Brooks Brothers again.

I attempted to surprise my husband for Father’s Day and my order was lost after picking it out at the store and having it shipped to him. I had stopped here during a layover and decided to get some shopping done. I am still very upset, but the store eventually redeemed themselves regarding the matter at hand.

I’m only giving it 4 stars because the staff were great to me. The moment I walked through the door and told them what I needed they were on it. Problem? Selection… I usually love what I see in the window, but they don’t have it in the store. As a woman, I was super excited that they now have women’s clothing… but I’m not sure who they are designing for? The clothes are very«matronly» and I’d say 50’s or older… I’m not old yet and I’m not going to dress like it. They didn’t have much selection for women’s suits either… he said it was the season leaving them slim on the shelves. Sad sad times… :(

Get here if you can! Did you know they costumed the great Gatsby! Nice staff and attention to detail ! There is a sale starting Wednesday !!! Lots to choose from! They also have those hard to find items you have been looking for! Everything you expect from Brooks Brothers!
