Fantastic place. Arnold does a great job of greeting and recommending the best food. The staff are all personable and positive. Of course, the food is fantastic, as well. I recommend the fajita burrito — pretty great stuff.

Love this place! I go with my family all the time. Great food, friendly staff! What more could you ask for? They have a huge TV in the dining area that is always showing some big sporting event which my husband loves. Went last night and ordered the queso for the first time. So good! Salads are amazing too. We met the owner, Arnold, who is so nice. He definitely wants everyone to enjoy themselves which we always do when we’re there!

Came in to visit family and looking for that last Tex mex meal. A MUST before going back to SF where they don’t have tex mex… Impressive! Black beans for chip dipping, green salsa with loads of flavor, and red salsa with a kick. The skinny marg was delish and packed a punch. The chimi w beef was great with lots of cheese, and the brisket flautas were awesome. Both came with a ton of guac and sour cream too, and a nice salad bed of good greens not crappy iceberg. Will def go back when traveling to Dallas. The outside may look a little strip-mally in the shopping center with the blinking open sign, but once inside it is warm, inviting, and best of all delicious!

Great food. The carnitas were amazing. Great rice and beans and chips and salsa, which is a tell tale sign of a great Mexican food. I wasn’t a fan of the canned soft drinks. Margarita was very good and tasted as if the lime juice was fresh squeezed. I would highly recommend this place and would eat here again the next time I am in town.

Que Onda?! These guys have really got something happening here. We hang out at the bar and see the blur of blue shirts rush past with occasional conversations with the owner, Arnold, and our favorite bartenders, Hector, Paco, Ismael… This our neighborhood go to for happy hour and great food.

Please read this review before you decide to eat here. We always Unilocal restaurants to read reviews and ratings, and view photos of the food to help decide where to eat. And that was the only reason we chose this place. I know great Mexican food. And this restaurant is not the place to get it. First of all, I should have known that a huge place that has over 25 tables, but we were the only ones eating there should have been the first sign of a poor restaurant. Our waiter was clueless to what being a food server really is. It is not arguing with the customer and having a snarky face when questions are asked about the menu. We ordered the tacos, and the shrimp enchilada plates. The sauce was incredibly salty and the beans and rice were tasteless. Having just landed at Love Field after a day of flying, we were starving. But since the food was so bad, we left more than half the food on our plates. Our waiter never checked on us the entire time. Never got refilled any water. Waiter was still clueless. The 4.5 star rating is a farce. Go to Mattito’s instead.

Really good place to stop for a bite to eat. I had some street tacos on a corn tortilla and will definitely be back again. Nice, clean restaurant. Excellent service! Worth a stop when you are in the area.

I would like to update my previous review… I did receive a negative reply from the owner on my previous review; however I didn’t think that was fair to everyone else who works hard there. I gave them 2 stars before and now I gave them 5!!! The service was still excellent and the food came out fast. The waiter was very informative and fun to work with… I would go back just for him. The beans and rice had great flavor and were made with LUV… I normally don’t finish them, but today I did. I ordered the Seite(#7) again… This time the enchiladas and tamale had incredible flavor and I enjoyed each bite… I’m looking forward to taking suppliers and my team there, again and again!!! Kudos for the great improvements on the food!!!

The queso and carne Asadi were great! I had the honor of meeting the owner who greeted everyone at the door. He was very nice and respectful. The service was a little better than so so. I’m not one to really care if a place is up to date as far as looks, but one could say that it needs help.

Stayed at the hotel next door for a conference(Embassy Suites?). This place had great lunch specials and they were fast. One lunch I worked out quick ran over here for lunch and still made conference on time. Pros: Outstanding fresh food! Chicken was out of this world. Very Clean. Owner greeted me at the door. Good bar and great services Great nachos with different sauces. Cons None!

We absolutely love Mi Camino. The food is delicious and at such a great price. I always get the rice salad and it is the best salad at any Mexican restaurant. Great drinks too!

I enjoyed my dinner at El Camino. First, as a single person, there are couple extra things I take into consideration… I was not seated at the random table squeezed in by the restrooms or kitchen doors and I was not forgotten. My waiter was Chaz and he was very attentive but not a lurker. He provided excellent service. All the staff were accommodating and pleasant. I was able to enjoy sitting on the patio and just watch what was going on around the lake. Now, this is not a quaint little restaurant with a peaceful lake view. It’s on the north end of Love Field on a kind of peninsula with Lemmon and NW Highway as its borders. I am certain there are times of the year that the patio and lake are quieter but still, I was fine with the activity. I ordered a house marg with a sangria floater. It was good but not to die for. I’m not a big drinker so when I do enjoy a cocktail my hope is it’s unique or «worth it.» My marg would have been a good Happy Hour marg. I have had better and I’ve had worse. For dinner I ordered the fish tacos on corn tortillas. I really enjoyed them. They were not heavy in any way and the fish itself was yum. I would definitely order them again… Dessert was the tres leches cake. It was good, but I would skip it next time. Would rather try the sopapillas or stop at Paciugo on way home. I’m the person that’s thinking about dessert before ever being seated. Many restaurants get you through appetizers and entrees and give up on the finale, dessert. El Camino kind of did that. Bottom line, I didn’t bite into anything and think, «OMG, this is to die for.» I would go back if friends wanted to meet up or go for happy hour. I may or may not go back on my own. It’s the staff that won me over… With tip, my tab was $ 28(cocktail, entrée and dessert.)

Nice little restaurant with well priced food and great taste! We sat inside on a Friday night around 8:30pm, right by the window a good view of the side of the river/lake that this place is on. On a nice night this pace would be great for patio eating! Good, strong margarita– however I got a floater. Well priced $ 6-$ 7 and has multiple liquors in it! My BF and I split queso(great mixed with salsa) and did a pick 3– tacos and enchiladas. We got the chicken enchilada and couldn’t decide on green sauce or sour cream so they let us do both! Which was a great added bonus! Good service, pretty good experience all around!

Salsa’s got some kick! New place behind Chick Fil A and next door to Bugatti’s…It’s a bit hidden. Great patio with a view of whatever river/lake that is… Staff: very nice and hospitable. Water always full, service is spot on. Owner is very friendly. Food: good, fast. Had enchildadas. Tortillas used were soft, didn’t have the«i’ve been sitting out for awhile» consistency. They carry local brews– sounds like Lakewood for the most part. No complaints from the group. Will have to see how their happy hours are! Will definitely be coming back.

I was planning a dinner in Dallas for a group of 15 to 20 that was close to our hotel and this restaurant fit the bill. The staff was great to work with and on a Tuesday night, we ended up in a room all by ourselves which was probably for the best. Everyone in my group seemed pleased with their food. We had a variety of needs from vegetarian to soft foods to other random dietary restrictions. Everything was accommodated and everyone also was happy with the sangria, beer, liquor options. I had the ceviche as my entrée and it was very good… although I preferred the free chips to the chips that came with it. I also had the deviled eggs which was a huge portion… the traditional eggs had sweet pickles which isn’t my favorite and the avocate ones are a scoop of guacamole and no egg yolk. The seafood egg has the same seafood salad mix that was on top of my ceviche and again no egg yolk. They did offer to do individual checks which is great if you need that for business receipts.

Anytime I find out there’s a happy hour… I’m game! LOL Our friends live close by and we decided to meet up for dinner and drinks. Since I get off early… I was in that thang taking extra advantage of happy hours LOL Right off… everyone…owner included was very friendly and attentive! Chips, salsa and bean dip were brought out right away. The bean dip ranks high up there with Gloria’s LOL They have $ 4 margaritas on the rocks and frozen. I’m a frozen margarita person and opted for the house margarita. It was good… wasn’t like most house margaritas… which taste like the mix… UGH!!! They also have pineapple infused tequila… SCORE! I ordered the fish tacos… yummy in my tummy LOL! The fish was nicely seasoned and the sauce gave it that extra pop! My wife ordered the fajitas… I’m not a beef eater but the meat was very tender and great flavor. Since this is not far from our house… we shall be back! They have a nice patio that I can’t wait to break-in when the weather gets nicer!

The Bean soup with shredded rotisserie chicken was outstanding! I had with the Fish Tacos also outstanding. This place has been busy every time I’ve been. But, never had to wait for a table. This is a family place and the owner has visited with us every time I’ve been there. Full bar with some of the Best Tequila kept ice cold. Also, they have some of the best Ritas I’ve had in Dallas. This restaurant is on the Bluff View side of Bachman Lake.

I came in with some high expectations due to all the five stars Mi Camino has been getting. It was good, but certainly not what I would give five stars to. I started out with the queso, which was delicious. They also serve really good chips with a green salsa, a red salsa, and a bean dip. All were pretty good. My main entrée was the lunch chicken fajitas and although they were not bad, they lacked flavor. Seriously, they were the most bland fajitas I have ever had. So, while this is a review of my initial visit, I will be back to try them again… maybe trying a different dish will leave me with a better impression.

I can’t say I stumbled upon Mi Camino by accident, I’ve been stalking it for the past few weeks as it was being built in the retail portion of our apartment complex. So much for wanting to lose weight this year! We stopped by Mi Camino Friday afternoon after a run around Bachman Lake, we were greeted by Lucas and in no time we were seated and munching on their complimentary chips, green and red salsa and bean dip. The star of the trio was the bean dip — yeeeessss, the bean dip! Personally I think it’s much better than Gloria’s, but that’s just my opinion(and this IS my review). They have a very nice variety of entrees/meals/combos to choose from and they also have lunch specials M-F, 11am — 4pm that were about $ 8 each.(WIN). I tried lunch special SEIS which comes with one enchilada, a side salad and soup — and all lunch entrees come with rice and beans — so yes, it was PLENTY of food. I customized my order with a chicken enchilada, regular side salad and black bean soup(I love black bean anything). My friend opted for NUEVE which was brisket tacos served quesadilla style(folded flat). Our food came out in a timely manner — the restaurant was buzzing, but not super busy, so we weren’t expecting that much of a wait anyway. My black bean soup was great — it’s served with sour cream and pico on top, which is exactly the way I like it! Once I tasted my chicken enchilada, I noticed the flavor of the chicken — it was delicious! Bianca took a bite out of her taco and said the same thing about the brisket — it was very tender and flavorful. We both enjoyed our picks! Later on in our meal, the owner came by just to ask us how we were doing and chit chat. He was very nice and personable, which made our visit even more enjoyable: he seemed really genuine and had a lot of knowledge about the restaurant business, etc. He’s been in the business a while with other chains/restaurants but this was his first«baby.» In our conversation, he let us know that they cook the food fresh daily in the restaurant — the chicken cooked is rotisserie style(hence all of the flavor I tasted) and the brisket is their own special recipe blend. They also have a full bar area separate from the main dining areas — it’s a little small and nothing too fancy, but enough to grab a drink/beer and catch a game or two. Another plus is the patio area — once the weather gets nicer, I’m sure that area is going to be GREAT for hanging out and relaxing — especially with the view of the Bachman Lake park area. They currently do not have a happy hour, but said it is in the works — great… a happy hour in walking distance of my house — just what I needed! *insert sarcasm* lol If you do try out their bar — try their pineapple infused tequila. It’s tequila that is — marinated — if you will — in pineapples and served straight. It doesn’t even taste like straight tequila… and that’s all I’m going to say about that. I don’t give out 5-stars too often but I was really impressed with Mi Camino. The staff was very attentive and gave great service. The food was amazing and I cannot wait to go back to try other options on their menu! The ambiance isn’t overbearing or un-pleasurable. Everything was very nice and enjoyable.
