The service was ok and the waiters are friendly I got the tostada ceviche plate it was great a little salty but the sauce covered it greatly my family had a ton of laughs and I enjoyed the game I highly recommend this to a family looking to hangout or two love ones. Evermore it was great and the bar was cozy as well very friendly but not perfect which is why I did not give it 4 – 5 stars it’s fairly noisy and a little dirty but with a little family and occupation it will go away

We just stopped in for an app and a cocktail. We were blown away by the tequila selection, and passion/knowledge of the bartender. Bacon-wrapped shrimp jalapeños topped off the outstanding experience. BESTTEQUILASELECTIONINDFW!

Been here several times. Great cheap mexican style seafood. No wait, very attentive waiter. They have never disappointed.

I’ve been here a few times now and I typically always enjoy the seafood. I will warn though, if you’re not into seafood, the smell of seafood, or alcohol, this might not be the place for you. I enjoy the tostadas and the ceviche. They are both the pretty tasty dishes, but not terribly spicy. Look ahead of time which night you’re coming because they have a mariachi band that frequents this place. Sometimes they’re fun, sometimes way too loud. Such is life though.

Now I know what a real Shrimp Cocktail is. Meanwhile every upscale steak and seafood house gives you several large shrimp hanging off of the rim of a cocktail glass with a horseradish dip – not a shrimp cocktail. Seafood Shack makes what could be a gazpacho soup, filled with a handful of plump shrimp, chunks of avocado floating in a broth that tastes like a pico de gallo soup. Amazing! That was my appetizer. For a main, I had the Shrimp Enchaladas, with a side of Guacamole(because I always enjoy a good handmade Guac). The enchiladas were filled with shrimp, covered in a very light sauce and accompanied by a bowl of rice. I was not really expecting this Mexican of an experience, so it was a refreshing change from the typical seafood joints. I am going to be craving the Shrimp Cocktail daily. Please have one so I can live vicariously through you…

Yum, yum, yum! Was not our original destination but we stumbled onto a gold mind. The shrimp cocktail was the BEST I have ever had. The Hispanic twist was the perfect blend to accompany the shrimp! I had the shrimp enchiladas and the sauce was so flavorful! The rice was simple and very good. I tasted my son’s shrimp flautas and they were delicious. We all ordered a fish taco(Tuesday’s $ 2.00 special) and we were not disappointed, very tasty. Next time I am in Dallas I will definitely pay another visit to the Seafood Shack. Thanks Jesus for taking such good care of us!

Mexican speak easy? I travel alot and my son is a cheff. I enjoyed the sencerity and genuinely eager they all were willing to serve, an hour before closing. I had to meet the guy who put a little love in my meal. My son only gets pics of extrodinary dishes…

My husband and I have been going to the Webb Chapel location for several years. Once we discovered their fantastic spicy shrimp cocktails and shrimp tostadas, we went there often. Now we have been to this 2nd location on NW Hwy several times and find it to be equally good! The last time we went, we decided to try their Shack Pot(or 1 and 1) of shrimp, crab, potatoes, and corn. We usually get this at the Boiling Crab(which is fantastic!), but wanted to give Seafood Shack’s version a try. We are SOGLAD we did because we found it to be very comparable. The sauce is so wonderful… I had to order a side of rice so I could soak up every drop, just like at Boiling Crab! This is a GREAT discovery because we are sick of the long wait lines at BC and the Seafood Shack is just down the street from us. My husband enjoys watching the planes land at Love Field from a table on their porch. We always get a Co-Rita(Corona beer in a frozen margarita) along with our meal = heaven! The only negative I can say is that we used to love the friend shrimp at the Webb Chapel Shack, but have now had very bad versions of it at both Webb Chapel and NW Hwy. We wish they would figure this out… they used to be lightly battered and yummy, but the last times we had it they were very heavily battered and awful. Please fix this!

I’ve been here several times, and have never been dissapointed. The food is always prepared fresh, and is full of flavor. My favorite is the«Shack Pot» which includes shrimp, crab, potatoes, and corn, and extra sauce. Always order a side of extra sauce when you order the Shack Pot, trust me, and thank me laters.

Great service. ANDAMAZINGSHRIMPCOCKTAIL. I literally don’t need to say anything else, but I will lol. If your looking for a quiet dinner don’t come here, but for a lively fun Friday night yes you should! Also– the margaritas are worth the price:)

The shrimp cocktail was plenty for two people to eat and it had tons of large sized shrimp. They even serve tortilla chips to eat with it if that is your preference over crackers. The fried catfish was good but I liked the dipping sauce that it came with, which tasted somewhat like tartar sauce with a bit of a kick. The portion they serve is very generous for all the plates especially for the good prices they charge.

Yummmmmmy! So yummy that we went twice in three days. I had the fried shrimp the first time and the fish tacos the second time. My husband had the crab and shrimp boil both times. We were both very, very happy both times. Didn’t spend very much at all either time. Pretty good find!

Tacos Cancun were tasty, but probably not worth $ 9. Three tacos with supposedly fried Redfish. Could have been any generic«white fish» from what I tasted. Served with zero sides, save for two small lime halves and one raw onion ring. Iced tea was not drinkable. Probably some sort of powder mix. Cloudy and nasty flavor. At $ 2.50 it should be brewed iced tea– clear and taser like… Tea! Atmosphere is somewhat plain, loud Mexican Muzak. At one time this place had a good view of Love Field. Service was good, timely.

The service was mediocre and the atmosphere was okay. I got the oyster and the 1 lb of shrimp which was average. It was nothing compared to boiling crab but it sure got the job done for no waiting. They had $ 3 shots of tequila which was a great deal and half off most of the appetizers. Overall, I probably wouldn’t go back since its average.

Seafood Shack is a casual seafood restaurant on NW Hwy near Bachman Lake that features plenty of fresh seafood options in a laid back setting. This is the second, newer location. The original Seafood Shack is off Webb Chapel and is definitely a dive. My Overall Rating — 4 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — When you walk in you’ll be greeted to a large, well-spaced out bar. There are high ceilings so you don’t feel like you’re cramped. Most of the staff & patrons are Hispanic, but don’t worry — everyone speaks the language of good food. Expect to roll up your sleeves & use your hands. As a bonus, the bathroom contains a stainless steel industrial strength sink to clean your mittens after digging into a plate of crab, shrimp, or crawfish. 1 Star. Service — Unlike the Big\Aw-shucks restaurants, there is actually wait service. Seafood Shack’s concept is very similar to the aforementioned places, but you will get someone to help. But while that can be convenient, orders still can get mixed up. Staff is bilingual in case that is of value to you. On our visit, it was good, not great. A bit slow and our order wasn’t 100% right, but again it was serviceable. ½ Star. Food — Comparisons to Aw\Big Shuck restaurants will be obvious. You can get a shrimp cocktail, summer platter with crab legs, crawfish, etc. But Seafood Shack also has a number of quality fish dishes as well. Furthermore, they have great daily lunch specials that are great for those on a budget. No doubt we loved the shrimp cocktail. Tons on shrimp, fresh avocado & onions, and a tomato sauce. It’s served in a big glass goblet so you can see the colors throughout. Also, the hush puppies are quite good. They’re shaped like little mini corndogs(without the meat) and come with a nice dipping sauce. Speaking of specials, the Tilapia is a great choice. Sautéed or grilled, this light fish has a mild flavor and goes great with the mixed vegetables. The only reason I wouldn’t give them the highest rating is because at the end of the day, they’re still doing something someone else started. Still, they do it pretty well. 1 ½ Star. Will I Return? — Yes. I prefer this location over the original off Webb Chapel. It’s newer, bigger, and cleaner, has more parking, and will satisfy your seafood tastes buds. Yup, you can find me at the Shack again. 1 Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.

Lo and behold! What did I stumble across here? I’ve been going to the the original location on Webb Chapel(which literally does look like a shack) for quite some time for their Tuesday oyster specials. But once all the horrendous construction started on 635, I couldn’t justify the drive and the traffic rage. I did miss it! The food was so yummy! But THIS place… is new and shiny. There was no way this restaurant was connected to the one on Webb Chapel. Even the food presentation is much much better. they actually cared and made my plate pretty! But I did ask and confirm so I’m excited to learn this is their second location only open for appx 2 years. The boyfriend and I shared a Medium Seafood Cocktail. That alone could have been a meal for the both of us. If you get the mixed seafood cocktail, you’ll get plenty of avocado, shrimp, octopus, and oysters. It was soooo yummy. Of course, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. It was cold out so I ordered a small seafood stew. I felt like my soup was just the warm version of the seafood cocktail in a fishy broth. It had all the similar ingredients the cocktail had. It was still delicious! But I could barely finish it. The next time, I will order just the fish stew to save a few cents. Oh and the small bowl… is HUMONGOUS! The boyfriend ordered the fried catfish and ate every last bit. While we ate, there was a professional mariachi band performing and serenading us. Didn’t expect that on a Sunday evening but it was great entertainment bc those fellas could sing! So so glad I found this place closer to home. This will definitely be on our top list of restaurants bc 1) You can eat healthy here 2) Reasonably priced 3) New and clean!

The interior is rather sterile. Sparkling clean but lacks any style. Gleaming tables. No wall art. Just televisions tuned to soccer. The ceviche tostadas are top notch. The shrimp wrapped in jalapenos and bacon were overcooked. Would I go back? For the ceviche, yes I would. The ceviche is so good you can look past the lack of décor, slow service, and overcooked other item.

Dear God what an awesome place! My wife had lunch here today and she said I had to go back with her the same day. And so we did. I LOVED this place! I’ve been craving some good seafood since I left Puerto Rico and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the Shrimp Cocktail, Shrimp Enchiladas, Basket of Breaded Shrimp and Fish, and finished with the Napolitano Flan. Everything was awesome. We will be back.

Very good fish-taco platters on the lunch menu. Very clean, open restaurant with friendly and efficient service. It’s a good option for lunch
