Great spot for a quick burger in HP. The ambiance is casual, fast and food FRESH each time. I highly recommend for a quick lunch or pre game dinner.

I work in the Highland Park area of Dallas, which makes coming to this Katy Trail Burger place very convenient. With country music streaming from their speakers, half a dozen big screen tv’s, and plenty of places to sit, grab a menu tableside and order up some bar grub bub. Service is friendly but not always spot on professional or consistent. Prices are reasonable, food decent portions. With an outside patio and thick shakes, it’s a great warm weather spot to visit. Unfortunately, they run the air conditioner to high, especially for cold winter months. Keep your jacket or one of their complimentary red blankets near. Or better yet, snuggle close with your sweetie.

Great burgers and fries! My only thing with them is they do not let you order Togo over the phone and I think that definetly decreases their business. As a busy lady it’s harder to get online to order rather than just place an easy phone call! Hope they change that soon!

Got here last night before their closing time and it was empty almost left and glad we stayed. Very simple menu, my eye landed on the words Terlingua Pride a burger that Chilis(when they were good in the early 80’s) used to have on their menu. Ordered that and their homemade potato chips and a shiner bock. The burger was excellent — better than I recall the old TP burger being in the 80s. The chips were fresh crunchy and delicious and the Shiner came in a very cold frosted goblet. My friend ordered the patty melt and fries and ate the whole thing, which is rare for him. He let me try both and they were also excellent. His fries were outstanding. I kept stealing them from his plate. Service was fast and friendly. Plenty of TVs with sports going if that’s your thing, but not distracting if it’s not your thing. And not to mention how beautiful it was in HP Village at night during the holidays. I would definitely return and recommend as a great place to satisfy your burger and beer jones that you got going!

I’ve been here more times than my Doc would recommend over the last few months. This is hands down my favorite cheeseburger in the metroplex. Fries-decent, milkshake-decent, service-so-so, burger-fantastic. Even though this joint is in the snootiest of possible locations, the burger is a classic flat-top greasy spoon type with a laid back brew pub atmosphere. An oasis of comfort food in a desert of pretentious gluttony. Everyone has there own version of gourmet… and this is mine.

I came here with a friend a couple of months ago for lunch and the service and food were great. Today I came back with the same friend, my two kids and my husband. I was so disappointed and embarrassed that I made my husband drive twenty minutes from our house to get horrible service and mediocre food. After waiting 30 minutes, we finally had to ask if we could at least get our kids food. My daughters hot dog looked awful and tasted worse. Our burgers were ok, but definitely not as good as the first time I came. We then had to wait another 5 minutes for our fries and onion rings. I never saw a manager on the floor and you could tell that our server was swamped. I could go on and on and on… I know that isn’t the servers fault that the food took a half hour and was disappointing. There should have been a manager on the floor APOLOGIZING to the guests and trying to correct the issues in kitchen. It was ridiculous! My husband and I own a restaurant and we work our behinds off trying to make that every guest that walks in our door leaves with a great experience and can’t wait to come. Clearly K.T. Burger doesn’t share that same philosophy. In summary, it was a terrible overall experience and I had to pay $ 80 for it. Will NOT be back.

I agree with Don’s review. It’s like McDonalds but more expensive. I got the mushroom swiss avocado burger. The burger was very crumbly. It needed something to bind the burger. The flavor of the patty tasted like a fast food burger. Nothing really special. The bun had no flavor. In fact, it got soggy trying to hold the burger and toppings. Also, if you’re going to call yourself a burger place, I expect the menu to be mostly burgers. Instead, a quarter of the menu was burgers. Hubby got the avocado, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. Can’t really mess that up. Don’t waste your money.

Very good burger. Got the jalapeño one, it was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor. Also– the beer is extremely cold and I loved the frosted mug!

Burgers are excellent, service was good but the lack of high chairs for a neighborhood burger location is disappointing

If you happen to be a trucker and can’t find find a nearby spot with some truck stop food this is the place for you. Perhaps not the best parking for a big rig but the food is certainly truck stop quality with a highland park price tag. While shopping with my gf for some over priced shoes we fancied a bite to eat and figured this new spot would be a good bet based upon its location. It was rather empty at lunch time on a Saturday with a quite plentiful staff that looked bored out of their minds. Service was slow for being empty and flooded with bored staff but the girl was quite cute so that can be forgiven. When you walk in its not exactly clear what you should be doing. Staff looks at you like your an idiot until one finally said you just seat yourself. Nothing to communicate this. Once the food arrived it was horrible. The burger was less a burger than a handful of ground beef that kept falling apart. The taste was nothing special or even average. The last time I was at mcdonalds years ago I remember a better tasting big mac and fries. Prices are far too high for the very low food quality. Head up the road to paul martins grill for a quality burger or even in n out is far higher quality and taste.

Pleasant atmosphere — attentive waitress — the burger was very filling. I really enjoyed the salt and pepper sprinkled over the hot and fresh fries. I will definitely be back to try the chicken sandwich next time, esp since it was highly recommended. Plenty of tv’s and beers on tap… this may become a regular spot for me.

I really like the ahi tuna salad and the mushroom Swiss avocado burger. I’ll give them 4 stars but Fries don’t come with the burger so you have to pay extra for a side. Good ambiance and good service.

The ahi salad is fantastic. Big large pieces of ahi. Poblano chicken sandwich was excellent. The only thing is the fries are extra. Burger is worth it. Great

Not surprised that another addition to the kt trail line up is a hit. The whole experience from the moment you walk in was great. Cold beer in hand before you even order was awesome!!! Food was great and all servers were polite and attentive. My new fav spot for great priced brews and burgs!

So to start, this burger placed looked pretty cool, however there were some parts that really turned me off about the place, first off was the price. Now I’m fairly surprised a burger chips(which were the cheapest side) and milkshake came out to be $ 20, that’s a bit! Second was the $ 7 milkshake, look if you are getting a milk shake you want some originality, not a Hagen Daaz milk shake. The chips also did not taste freshly made. Although house made not fresh or hot. Stale. The burger finally. Is very disproportional. The meat is 1.5 inches while the bun 0.25 cm. This made the burger taste too meaty overall. 1⁄5
