I had the $ 10.99 Buffett that includes unlimited mimosas. I tried the pancakes(fluffy and hot) ham/sausage(yum), tater tots(not crispy or hot), mimosas(self serve), fried fish(hot and well seasoned). Did try the eggs Benedict but it looked tasty. There are many more buffet options. Some look fresh, some old, some overlooked. Desserts didn’t look good and fruit was boring cantaloupe. Lots of families and old people. Buffet was satisfying but definitely not gourmet or fancy. It’s a diner! Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms.

Service was good but the food was just okay. I have the crunch French toast and eggs. Nothing special really, but okay for the price.

JJ’s buffet on weekends is a good value, especially since it has Eggs Benedict. The restaurant is very family-friendly as well. On Sundays, the buffet gets refreshed until 1:30, but on Saturday you should plan to get there by 11 or the selection will be limited.

Service was fast and as I ordered it. The hash browns were crispy like I asked for. The country scramble was plentiful and had real sausage. The strawberry Belgian waffle(with real strawberries) was light and fluffy. The Nutella I asked for on the Belgian waffle was the perfect amount to take it over the top. Definitely recommend.

First timer here and only tried the breakfast menu. They only had one server working this Tuesday morning so service was a bit slow. I tried the chocolate chip pancakes, eggs and potatoes. Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Potatoes were ok, didn’t know they had jalapeño in it(I’m a big baby about spicy foods) but it was ok. Eggs were decent too. Little brother had the Mickey pancakes shaped like Mickey ears, bacon and eggs. Good sized portion for kids and it was delicious according to little bro. A drink, water, kid’s breakfast and my meal was a bit expensive at $ 20 for me but it was good. I will definitely come back and try other items on the menu as well. Atmosphere was relaxed and simple.

My sentiments of JJ’s café have not changed. The place is absolutely wonderful. I’ve now tried their Huevos Rancheros multiple times, and I love them! They are more Baja California style than your typical Tex-Mex Huevos rancheros. They consist of two fried corn tortillas, refried beans, cheese, eggs(over easy a MUST, just trust me), spicy(but not too spicy) red salsa, and slices of avocado. The owner is very attentive and always willing to come to your table for a chat. He even brought my 15 month old her own waffle quarter when my older daughter didn’t want to share hers. Great staff, great food – a winning combo!

The buffet was something that tasted like it was either taken out of the dumpster and or was last week’s special. I had a hamburger and it wasn’t to bad. The fries needed work. Besides being a little cold. They seem to have ice still in the middle of them. Guess that’s why they were cold. We won’t go back. Only reason for us trying this place was to try something different but thwre is no way we will go back. There were only 6 people in the restaurant at the time but there were 4 or 5 employees working so don’t expect to get your tea glass filled for quite a while.

Had the buffet, horrible. I’m hoping that buffet is better on weekends. Ice tea was ok. Food on buffet was sitting out too long, and was lacking taste.

Excellent food. Love the California Benedict. Kids love the buffet. I like that their buffet has a cheaper kids price. And mimosas as part of the brunch!

Better-than-average diner breakfast. Clean, friendly, quiet, great service. Crunchy French Toast w/corn flakes & sliced almonds was tasty! If they had free wi-do this would become a regular stop!

Sunday brunch buffet was great!!! $ 9.99 with breakfast and lunch items combined on a buffet. Unlimited mimosas is a nice bonus at no charge. Grilled biscuits are great and chopped steak with super flavorfull. Greeted with kindness and walked away full and satisfied. 2 brunch buffets water to drink, $ 25 tip included.

A nice little diner type place. The Sunday brunch Buffett is $ 10 which includes many options and bottomless mimosas. The staff is very nice and it’s a family/older person place. So, overall it’s a nice local option.

JJ’s Café is a great place to grab breakfast or brunch. It’s also an awesome place to bring the kid for breakfast because they have fantastic french toast, great pancakes, and excellent waffles. Their prices are very reasonable and I always feel like I’m getting what I paid for and then some. As someone who is a huge fan of breakfast, I love that JJ’s Café is just around the corner for us. We also like to hit up other good spots like Benedict’s and Egg and I, but those are a 10 – 15 minute drive away. Having a neighborhood option like this is definitely something I don’t take for granted.

I have not tried this place for breakfast or lunch, just dinner. Evidently they have a separate menu for dinner with a total of 6 items to choose from, which I didn’t not know about until we were seated at the restaurant. I tried the catfish and my boyfriend the crab cakes. Both major disappointments along with them not offering their regular menus which they are highly rated for.

Just don’t. Please just don’t. The breakfast buffets at your local hotel chains like Marriott are better. It’s old and so is the clientele and décor.

Nice«hole-in-the-wall» spot for breakfast near White Rock. The huevos rancheros are a solid bet. Coffee is hard core.

After several years we returned to this place after hearing that it has improved. I suppose that is true: from abysmal before to average now. It remains a modest restaurant. On the positive side, it is mostly clean. But my fork was dirty as I found out upon being seated. Not a good start. For Sunday, it offers off the menu or break buffet options. We opted for off the menu. The food remains mediocre. My eggs were so well done that they could be used for basketballs. The sausage patties were ok but warm rather than hot. The O’Brien potatoes were ok. I suspect that our food sat for a while before it was brought to our table. The wife’s sunny side up were cooked to perfection. The bacon was crispy as requested. Her potatoes tasted funky. The service was slow. Yet again people who came in after us were served way before us. It seems to be a theme in our lives. At least the waitress pointed us to cheaper options so she was trying to save us some money. But she was not attentive, never asking how the food was and not coming by for refills on coffee. The coffee, by the way, was not good. I think it will be a few years before we return to this place.

My husband and I love a no frills good tasting burger. We have a friend who suggested we try the burger at JJs. He was right! Just a good old fashioned great tasting burger! And great service by Sean! Thanks JJs Café for excellence!

JJ’s Huevos Rancheros are the best I’ve ever had. Last year they were great, last week they were great. Gotta love consistency.
