Came here with some friends for dinner; and thought we were going to the Uptown location(which is more fusion style) but my friend decided to come here. We started with some egg rolls and pot stickers. All which were extremely mediocre; I’d def forgo the egg rolls, those just were blah in general. The pot stickers were decent, but did not stick out to me at all. My entrée, I just went with a typical General Tso’s chicken, a friend had the combination fried rice, and another had the combination lo mein. The chicken was decent, but I think I’ll stick to my chinese delivery for this one. The fried rice was extremely bland, and the lo mein was just meh. It’s decent at best, but not somewhere I’d return to by choice.

Got here and they didn’t have my order at all. We made a $ 50+ call-in. Showed them the number we called and they still refused to admit we called them. Horrible service! Not even a sorry or attempt to make it up to us. Never coming back.

Let me start by saying that it was Christmas Day and we fully expected to have a longer wait and less than perfect service. The restaurant opened at 5 so we got there at 4:30 and waited in line. Our party of 8 was seated as soon as the doors opened and we put in our dinner orders within 5 minutes of sitting down(including 1 to-go order). Our waiter Cam said ours was the first ticket he gave to the kitchen. The appetizers came out promptly and were delicious. Things went downhill from there. After 45 minutes, 2 dishes came out but no rice. 5 minutes later, 2 more dishes but still no rice. 10 minutes later 1 more dish still no rice. I ordered mooshu with tofu and no egg. It was served with egg and chicken. Stupidly we sent it back thinking they would remake it correctly. The replacement meal never came out and I wished I would have just eaten around the chicken and egg. We shared the 5 meals and kept asking for the 3 missing dishes and rice. The waiter kept apologizing but could not offer an estimated time for when our food would arrive. We asked for a manager 3 times but the manager refused to come to our table. We finally just gave up and walked out. Needless to say my 2 great grandmothers, parents, special needs brother, wife and toddler were not too pleased and hungry. The waiter did the best he could and we felt pretty badly for him. I hope he finds somewhere to work where the management actually gives a damn.

I’ve only had positive experiences at Howard Wangs! The restaurant has a vast variety of traditional to American Chinese food that’s perfect for groups and families. My personal favorite appetizers are the calamari, lettuce wraps, and the crab wontons. The calamari is perfectly fried and seasoned and goes perfect with the sweet chili sauce. The lettuce wraps are a must get for every trip here. My personal favorite entrees include the general tso, happy family, and Mongolian beef. All the entrees are perfect for sharing and passing the plate around and include a variety of veggies and proteins. The best part about this restaurant is the friendliness of the service. They’ve always been informative and service has always been fast and consistent. Have your next family dinner, or get together here for a great experience!

Best shrimp toast ever!!! Everything was tasty. Ask for special hot chili oil/paste. Awesome fast service with nice attention to detail. A truly pleasant lunch.

Happened upon this place recently while learning our way around the Dallas area we have moved into. We had tried Royal China, and it was OK. THISPLACEWASAWESOME!!! Everything had great flavor, and the lunch portions were plenty to eat. Left feeling stuffed and sated. Would remment this place to anyone. Part of what made it so impressive, was that it impressed my husband, who is a Certified le Cordon Bleu Executive Master Chef, with a specialty in Asian Fusion cooking.

This location has some dishes that the other locations don’t have! Did you know that Dirk Nowitzki said this is one of his favorite restaurants in Dallas?! I heard this is the go-to Chinese food spot for some other local Dallas celebrities too…

I’ve been dining w/Howard WANGS for years. I remember when this was their only location and now they have several. Well deserve success, great food, great service and always a pleasure! If you are a fan of whole fish definitely try it here! The softshell crab is also good. All traditional Chinese dishes will be memorable. Enjoy!

Howard Wang’s WAS my favorite Chinese restaurant. I placed an order for delivery, and it was delivered fairly timely. I absolutely love the delivery guy, he is super nice and super sweet. As I’m taking my food out of the bag, I discover a roach at the bottom of my sack. Not to mention, it was still alive! Now I get restaurants have pest problems, but for me to actually see it! I can’t handle that! GROSS! I’m completely done with Howard Wang’s!!!

Average over-priced Chinese food. Nothing special. Service is pretty good though and very close to my house(doesn’t help you I know) so 3 stars.

Super food! The General Tso chicken wasn’t breaded and fried like most places, it was pan seared with plenty of sauce. By far the BEST General Tso I have ever had! I will definitely be back to this place. They are also speedy enough to get you in and out for a quick lunch.

China Grill fried rice is my fave dish, hands down but pretty much anything here is really fresh, filling and light on the wallet!

I was in town on business and saw that these guys offered delivery to the hotel. I wasn’t in the mood to go out, so I went for the delivery option. I was expecting run of the mill«food court» Chinese food but was pleasantly surprised by what I got. This is several levels above your average Chinese food. Very high quality and absolutely delicious! If I’m out this way again, I will definitely eat here.

Very good food. The service was quick and friendly. I only wish there was a larger waiting area. It’s often busy and there are few places to sit/stand inside, which is no fun when it’s cold outside.

Had the Mongolian beef and it was absolutely delish! I usually don’t like getting beef at Chinese places but it was surprisingly tender and full of flavor! will def be visiting again soon!

Really loved the chicken lettuce wraps. Also had the crispy sesame tofu, which was excellent. Will definitely return in the future. I would recommend this place to anybody. It is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have seen in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

This is one of my regular places in Dallas! They food is consistently yummy and the servers are always nice. When I go with my family and friends, we do family style since the portions are big. My favorite things on the menu are: steamed gyoza, sesame honey seared chicken, Mongolian beef, and brown rice. And I always get a pot of hot tea. I will say that I don’t think their pad thai is the best. But that’s really the only negative! For the most part, I love Howard Wangs and I always want it first thing when I get to Dallas after being out of town.

Jeez. Where do I even start? This place blew away every expectation for a Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Modern touches with bamboo accents really bring a nice mood to the place. Clean and tidy. The food… Oh lord the food. I can honestly say I thought all chinese food was the same. I mean you really can’t mess it up. And then there’s Howard Wangs. Hands down best chinese I’ve ever had. So full of flavor and colorful! Displayed very beautifully. Even after all that– the best thing about this is the service. I mean where have you been where the busser pays attention to your drink and refills before you even hit the half empty? Everyone here is attentive, even if you aren’t sitting at their table. I will definitely be back and you should too! New fav Chinese place!

Food is pretty good the first go around but it reheats VERY poorly. What is the point of Asian food if you don’t get good leftovers out of it? For the general Asian genres of food(sushi excluded), it seems just a little over priced but it’s not horribly expensive. The atmosphere is nice, the place seems clean and taken care of. Staff is attentive and quick, over all speed of service was good, even while the joint was jumpin’. After dining in, then attempting a reheat, I think we got a good all around grasp of what they have to offer and how much you pay for it. I can say that this place won’t be my favorite but I may return due to close proximity. However, At this price point, I would rather have PF Chang’s and I’d be willing to make the drive for it too.

I won’t be returning :-( My boyfriend and I got Sunday evening takeout and it was awful! We got: * FIVESPICEDFRIEDCALAMARI that is supposed to be «Tossed along with Sichuan Peppercorn and Sea Salt. Garnished with Cilantro.» It was garnished with cilantro, but was tasteless. There was no peppercorn or sea salt. WHY is this dish named«Five Spiced?» *Combination Fried Rice — It was bland like the calamari. The meats and seafood tasted boiled, as opposed to being grilled or pan sauteed. AGAIN, there was no seasoning, except for some salt and pepper. *SEAFOODPAN-FRIEDFLATNOODLES which consists of Pan-fried Flat Noodles topped with stir-fried Shrimp, Scallops, Fish Fillet, Calamari and Vegetables. This is one of my favorite Chinese food dishes & they ruined it. AGAIN, there was no seasoning sans some pepper and salt. The seafood had been boiled, as opposed to being grilled or pan sauteed. They dumped the boiled seafood and some tasteless white sauce over the pan fried noodles, as opposed to keeping the noodles nice and crisp and to the side. This dish was a disaster!
