We came to celebrate our coworkers Birthday. Service was extremely slow. It seemed they were understaffed for the day. Our waitress took so long to return to our table after taking our drink order that we had to skip the appetizer order just so we would have time to order our meals. Our waitress forgot to enter in one of the meals, the manager came over to acknowledge what happened and apologized and offered a free desert. When the waitress returned, she did not apologize or even acknowledge she made an error, but simply stated«the manager came over to talk to you right? He said you are getting a free desert» like it was nothing and then walked away. Overall the food was good, and service was just ok. Not my favorite place to go to but it is close to the office and is decently priced for our group gatherings.

Cool little place to get some good food and booze. Average uptown prices, but I think it is worth it if the weather is nice and you can sit outside. Tuesday nights are half off wine. Booya!

Pros: *Happy hour everyday till 7pm and reverse happy hour starts at 9 pm; *Great selection of happy hour drinks and food; *Nice intimate setting which makes it perfect for a date night; *Friendly staff; and *Conveniently located off McKinney which makes it a great place to stop when bar hopping. Cons: *The beer selection only consisted of beers that I’ve never heard of. No domestic beers like bud light and Michelob ultra. *30 min wait(which simply means business is good) The tacos were decent. We had the fish & chicken and they weren’t stingy with the meat which is always good. That being said, I really enjoyed my experience at Eureka. The nachos were the best I’ve ever had(the red sauce is delicious & I wish I could purchase it to go). I’m sure I’ll be back real soon.

My husband and I just went for a cocktail after dinner. We arrived and sat at a two-seater near the bar and the bartender informed me that someone would be over to take our order. When she finally arrived, she asked if we were ordering food and we said, «no» and stated that we were just ordering drinks. She then threw the menus on the table and immediately asked if we knew what we were ordering to drink. I replied, «no, we are going to look at the menu». Obviously, right? She then tells us to «go for it» and then abruptly walks away. With that attitude of only being there for 15 minutes, we decided to dismiss ourselves and go elsewhere. We weren’t going to let her rude attitude ruin our lovely night. There are too many friendly establishments to deal with this type of service.

I discovered this place while apartment hunting and am SO happy I did. My first time I was alone. I really enjoyed the look of Eureka! and the atmosphere. While it was quiet when I went, I can see it being really busy on weekends. I ordered the Pearl Street Blues Burger medium rare with the fries asking for the chipotle ketchup on the side. It took a little longer than I would have thought for a medium rare burger, but it was still cooked to deliciousness. My server was not very attentive, only coming over to take my order, drop off my burger, and refill my drink. I knew I was hungry when I came in, but didn’t realize HOW hungry I was as I scarfed down the burger. THAT is how good it was. While the service is lacking, the food is not. I have been back a couple of times with friends. Only once has my burger been cooked wrong. One night Eureka! had local whiskey breweries in for sampling which I thought was a great touch to trying to be local. The truffle cheese fries aren’t really worth raving for. The service is a 20% hit, 80% miss. The atmosphere and the food is what brings me back here. Definitely recommend to anyone craving a burger!

Eureka! was awesome — both the atmosphere and the food! Me and three other girls went there on a Friday night around 6:30 p.m. They sat us right away at a large high top away from the door(after we requested that since it was pretty cold outside). The service was awesome from start to finish. When we walked in the door they greeted us immediately and were very accommodating when we asked to sit away from the door and they asked if we preferred high top or a lower table. Our waitress was very attentive and great at recommending food or drinks for us and never forgot about us. The manager greeted us to make sure everything was alright as well. When we first sat down the manager told us they had a large party coming in at 8:30 and that they might have to move us by then(which I would appreciate as the large party) that was no problem with us at all and they even brought us a complimentary dessert as a thanks! We all tried the cocktails which were fun and fancy, however the few that I tried(gin and vodka based) were a little too sweet for me so I switched to beer. The food was the best part! I went back to my favorite childhood days and got the lollipop corn dogs and the mac and cheese which was so delicious! The mac and cheese had such a unique taste with the sherry Alfredo sauce, but was one of my favorites I’ve had in a while. Other food items that I tried off of my friends’ plates were the Crispy Shrimp Tacos which were delicious but beware if you can’t handle spicy food and the jalapeño egg burger which was spicy and mouthwatering as well. The dessert they brought us was the chocolate espresso soufflé and I’m not a big soufflé fan as they tend to be more dry but this was wasn’t too bad — however, my next time back I will definitely try the butterscotch rum pudding — yummm my mouth is watering now. The restaurant started to get busy around 9:00 p.m. as they do a late night happy hour, but not too overly crowded so I will definitely have to come back and take advantage of the reverse happy hour specials!

The food is amazing. Delicious burgers — the best Panko onion rings I’ve ever had. Their truffle cheese fries are a must! The cocktail selection is very good. All that said– terrible service! Our first waiter was sweet and charming and attentive. Bless his adorable blond bearded face! But Before he could even take our order he came over to apologize and tell us he «had been cut»(from what?! — he was still around in the restaurant a good long while) and so Ashley would wait on us. Let’s just say that her super sweet southern accent could not outweigh the fact that three times I had to flag down a waiter — she she wasn’t paying attention. A different person each time. Go here when you want good food but are not on any kind of schedule.

You guys don’t give this place enough credit. I called Eureka! to see if they accepted reservations for a birthday dinner we were having for one of my girlfriends. The manager, Chris answered stating, «We are a little small to accept reservations, but how about I jot down your information for a tentative reservation?» His response stood out to me. He went the extra mile in order to provide astounding customer service! You’re my boy, Chris!!! So let me touch on the comida y beber. Per usual, I got the Moscow Mule – which to my surprise tasted JUSTLIKE a Moscow Mule. The truffle cheese fries aren’t really cheese fries. They are«In & Out-ish» type fries drizzled with truffle oil and parmesan. In no way are they covered in melty cheese. The taste? mmm. I prefer In & Out better. The mussels were a hit, and my salad would put Salata to shame. Eureka! was a little too pricey for the quality, but I don’t see why I wouldn’t go back for Happy Hour Specials!

I had been wanting to check this place out for a while. The patio and interior always looked so inviting as I would drive down Blackburn and they didn’t disappoint on that front. The restaurant is very cool and nicely designed. They have very nice and attentive servers and a huge beer on tap list. If you go I would not recommend splitting a burger, it’s pretty tiny and you will want the whole thing for yourself. The Truffle fries sound delicious but don’t waste your time, they are not good. We ended up sending them back and in place ordered the nachos which were great, even cold the next day from my fridge. Overall our experience here was good and next time I might make different ordering decisions but yeah I would totally go back.

Eureka is my go to place for grabbing a quick bite when I’m in the west village area. There’s usually an open table, service is fast, and there’s a parking garage around the corner(on the side facing the interstate). But the best part is that it easily accommodates a large group with different interests– the guys can watch sports on the big screen and eat a cheeseburger while the girls can select from a few calorie friendly options. Plus, there’s a large patio for people watching and, of course, a full bar.

Eureka! is all the things I want in a restaurant. Excellent food and a great selection of beers. The casual-but-nice atmosphere lends this restaurant to be a catch-all for occasions, from first date perfection to a casual catch-up with friends. The menu would please a crowd. One of my favorite dishes is the burger with fig — it is delicious and I would highly recommend. I also like the corn dogs with sausage. Food has always been tasty and above par, but you’ll pay for it. Unfortunately, I do have some gripes. Service has been hit or miss depending on the visit, the issue mostly being slow service. Also, it seems like we’re always ordering a beer that they’re out of. I wish the servers were informed of the beers that have been depleted so I don’t have to wait 10 minutes to find out I’m not getting what I ordered. On one of my more recent visits, our server(who I think was a manger, because our actual server was occupied with a huge table) proactively brought me a couple of samples of other IPAs when the one I ordered was out. That was a great way to handle the situation. Overall this is my favorite place in West Village. It’s got plenty of space for groups 4 and smaller and I like the food & beverage options.

My husband and I live walking distance and dine here often. We have enjoyed pretty much everything we have ever ordered. Our favorites include the Truffle Cheese Fries, Lollipop Corn Dogs, Watermelon Salad, and the Lemongrass Pork Sandwich. They have a great selection of beer as well.

«Recently I made my way to Eureka!, a visit that was long over due! Eureka! is located in Uptown at West Village and opened its doors in November 2014. The small chain, originally from California, is known for its American craft beer, burgers and cocktails. Being a „burger-biter“, my new coined term for burger connoisseur, I always welcome and often seek a new burger joint to add to my dining options. Eureka! did not disappoint and I’m pleased to mention is now an addition to my aforementioned growing list of favorites!» Read the full review on my blog, !

Intriguing! The décor reminded me of Hopdoddy but a little more upscale. My drink was a bourbon, maple syrup blend with a citrus twist. I loved it. It tasted so complicated that I had to take my time with it and, when it was gone, I really wanted to chew the lemon peel with which they’d decorated and flavored my drink. Then there was the food. The bruschetta was among the best I’ve had. The bread was toasted but not so hard that I couldn’t chew it. It was also piled with more toppings than I’m used to seeing. And even though there was plenty on the plate, I definitely wanted another plate for just me. I ordered sweet potato fries and, despite the description, I was shocked when I bit into them. They were both crispy and tender and there wasn’t just a hint of cinnamon, there was a pronounced cinnamon taste and feel without overpowering the true essence of the sweet potato. On top of that, they drizzled honey. I don’t mean a few drops. The drizzle was more like a pour that tempted me to eat the fries with a fork instead of repeatedly licking the honey from my fingers. I said tempted. I also ordered shrimp tacos. I loved the crispiness of the shrimp and the way they used guacamole to sauce these tacos. There was a good amount of spice in these tacos and they came together perfectly. There are several other menu items I still want to try. I hope to go back soon for more!

I always dread driving around McKinney. And parking? Ha! It’s usually a nightmare for me because I can’t drive worth dingleberries. At least Eureka is in front of a parking garage so I’m not forced to parallel park my 120″ city car. Eureka has all of the trends down: Dallas friendly patio, lighting that UO probably sells and happy hour from 2p-6p plus a reverse 9p to close. The menu is filled with a variety of burgers, salads and tacos; hitting the cravings that every Dallasite should have. The most important craving of all is the Fletcher’s corny dog from the fair. Don’t tell me you’ve never had a Fletcher’s craving in Winter! While Eureka’s lollipop corn dog appetizer may not look like Fletcher’s, it is the perfect bite sized substitution. It’s designed for sharing with each ball on its own skewer and dishes of mustard and ketchup. Sharing is caring, but I only care about what goes into this body so these corn dog bites are all mine! The sweet potato fries are cut thick and the mussels have a smoky pork flavor. I’m glad I tried the mussels, but the pork and seafood flavor just did not mix as well as I thought it would. Also, the dark chocolate soufflé is far from a soufflé. I was going to scoop myself a piece and I instantly felt how thick and dense it was, almost like a brownie. Midway through dinner, the lights dimmed and booty shaking music started to play. That was weird. I then noticed the congregation of yuppies surrounding the bar, so yeah, it eventually goes from a somewhat normal restaurants to «one of those». It fits all of the needs of the area though and I wouldn’t expect anything less from it: a nice happy hour with appetizers included and a menu that is accommodating to all American palates.

I went to Eureka! at lunch with a group of people from work. Everyone but me had a burger or tacos. They were all very happy with the taste of their food, but the tacos were rather small and a couple of my coworkers added fries once they saw their tacos. I had the chicken saltimbocca which came with an arugula side salad. Everything was delicious until… I got food poisoning. It hit me a couple of hours after leaving the restaurant and the only other thing I had eaten all day was a bowl of cereal at my house. I called the restaurant to let them know so that no other people would get sick. The manager acted like he cared and asked for my name and number and said he would call me back. Apparently, he didn’t really care that much because he never called me back. I was very disappointed with his lack of follow through. I realize that a person can get food poisoning anywhere so I wouldn’t hold that against the restaurant. But, based on the poor customer service I received I will not be going back there or recommending it to others.

A friend and I visited Eureka on a random Wednesday evening to check out the space and the food. As far as the interior design goes, it’s awesome. The concept reminds me of an earthy, modern look. The space is open, but yet it still feels comfy. The location is the best part of Eureka, right on the corner of Blackburn and McKinney in West Village. Our waitress was really nice. She was helpful in providing suggestions, as well as making sure we received our drinks and food in a reasonable amount of time. The restaurant was only half full when we got there, so I’m not sure if the service would have been as attentive had it been more busy. We started off with beer and the Mac N’ Cheese Alfredo appetizer. The Mac and cheese was definitely creamy, but it reminded me more of alfredo and less of a true«mac and cheese». I don’t think the price was worth the small pan that it came out in, but I guess the portion size really didn’t matter because we only ate half of it. I wouldn’t recommend it. For my entrée, I decided to go with the Slow Roasted Beet Salad, and I added grilled chicken to it. I’m not sure why the grilled chicken came out on a separate plate, but it was still a satisfying amount. The salad itself was really good; however, I’m not sure if it was the chicken, the beets, or the watermelon pop rocks, but something on the salad was extremely salty. I like salt as a flavor additive, but not enough salt to where it actually tastes like salt. Due to the amount of salt on the salad, I would not want to order it again, which is unfortunate, because the ingredients within the salad is not only creative, but it all went well together. I also think that the salad was overpriced. Eureka has a pretty large menu with a variety of items. I am sure I’ll visit the restaurant again at some point. It’s a cool spot and is just what Uptown Dallas needed.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here on a weekday a little before 10pm after an event. We were absolutely starving. The hostess said the kitchen was open till 11:30pm on weekdays and 2am on weekends. We ordered the truffle cheese fries to start and let me just say, they were amazing! I honestly wanted a second order after we had finished. For my meal I ordered the beef ragu grits and my boyfriend got the naked chicken. My grits were interesting. The beef ragu had an unseasoned tomato paste flavor to them which wasn’t exactly appetizing to me. The grits were a bit too chunky for my liking and the meal itself came out a little cold like it had sat out. My boyfriends naked chicken was alright but very dry and again cold as well. It came with a side of fries and an arugula salad. Prices here are a little high for portion size and to be served cold. They have a regular happy hour then a reverse happy hour from 9−11pm where all drinks and appetizers are $ 2. I got a house wine and when the bill came I noticed they took $ 2 off the wine. Although the wine still came to $ 7. So it normally costs $ 9. That’s a bit high to me for house wine. Overall I’d return for the truffle cheese fries and maybe to try something different on the menu as a second try. It was a good sized menu so maybe next time I’ll find something more appetizing that’s actually made and kept hot.

In gay culture we have a pertinent saying — «He’s got a good package.» The phrase has a subtext sentiment kinda like admiring a pair of fake tits — they could be deceptively enhanced, but there’s a plus side to superfice. «Eureka’s» package is seductively perfect. A casual«burger and beer» chain based out of California volleys a stylish modern dining room with entirely safe but mostly good tasting food. Think granola retro 1996 Bennigan’s redux. With all the flash of its diagonal block long all window store front the staff was surprisingly«untraditionally attractive» which means they all seemed more nice than pretty, and more real over being falsely enthusiastic, which means they seemed a little introverted. We came for the happy hour with $ 2 off drinks and food specials. The watermelon salad with quinoa and walnuts grabbed my eye but we sampled the happy hour plates — Truffle cheese fries(made in house) $ 5 Mussels in a overly salty bacon chorizo broth $ 9 Shishito peppers $ 5 Osso bucco riblets $ 7 We were very happy with the grub. The Shishito peppers glowed green, the meat slide off the osso buco riblets(a sort of California chicken wing), the mussels looked and tasted great, with my friend feeling like they were over cooked, but the broth was as briny as the sea. It was the truffle fries that red bell rang the top of my «Precious» amusement park pole. We drank 3 dranks apiece and I got really lit. Our tab was $ 35 a piece. Pretty fare deal. While Eureka is a sure crowd pleaser its sterile corporate environment lurks not too deep under its palatable package of sunny beaches, high rise parking garages and tales of Hollywood heroes. Eureka is West Villages version of Kona Grill NorthPark. Hopefully the packs of pretty people won’t oversaturate the atmosphere and drive down the food quality. Patio Happy hour from 2p-7p and 9p-close
