I’m not one to write a review for a «place» but I thought Dave and Busters could use some recognition. I went here on a Wednesday with my boyfriend, and they have ½ off games– so if anyone is looking for a cute date night try here! We had tons of fun competing and playing silly games. After awhile we got hungry and we stopped by there bar and shared a quick bite. We got the mountain nacho appetizer and between the both of us we devoured it(it’s meant for 3 – 4 people) but I was really hungry that day! For an entertainment place the food wasn’t as horrible as I thought it would be. The only complaint I have is that the cheese was queso and it was chili based, I would have been happier with shredded cheese.

It’s always a good night when you end it at D&B, this location is HUGE! Lots of games including my favorites: Angry Birds, Mario Kart, and carnival basketball shootout. The only con is parking and large crowds but that is to be expected with any gaming center. Employees were great and informative, made it really easy to lose track of time and spend 3 – 4 hours there ha

I enjoy the new D&B’s location on Walnut Hill. I’ve held two corporate events there and spent 2015 New Year’s Eve(with half of Dallas) at their bar and game area. It’s clean, the food is good, and they have some awesome specialty drinks. My children are young adults, so I don’t go there for the kiddy games. They have some cool virtual play and stuff for mature women as myself(Deal or No Deal and Wheel of Fortune), but the Zombie games are fun too. ;)

So, I’m a bit torn. Dave & Busters is now in a new location, all big and shiny and new. This should be awesome right!!! At the old location you had about a 50⁄50 shot of getting your car broken into, which is totally a buzzkill when you just dropped $ 500 to win 1000 tickets which won you 4 stickers and a tootsie roll. With the new location, the parking looks a lot better and more secure. Win! Inside, the place looks massive– a whole bunch of new and modern games and yes, you still have basketball games and skeeball. The place visually has had a nice upgrade. Now the downsides. The food is still a bit mediocre, but I don’t think anyone is really expecting Michelin star quality food here. Service could be better. I order a drink, waiter decides he’ll wait until after he finishes his meal to get it. I think he actually forgot about it as well, because I had to remind him after waiting about 20 minutes. Were they understaffed? Possibly. So yes, the place is new and shiny so we’ll see how long it stays that way. The service sucks, so we’ll see if that ever improves or continues to decline. The one thing that always stays consistent– the terrible selection of prizes. This place floats between a 2.5 and 3 stars for me.

How the mighty have fallen. Fair warning — I am a huge arcade snob so I’m going to be brutally honest with my opinion of Dave & Busters since there are hardly any real«arcades» left in the Dallas area. Only go here on a busy evening like Saturday if you’re okay with: 1. Waiting forever for a dirty table and being waited on by an overworked understaffed server team. 2. Seeing kids running around unsupervised and sitting in the big name games like the new Star Wars game with the giant projector sphere screen with piles of friends sitting in and around it without actually having any credits on their game card to be able to play. Only go here at all if you’re okay with: 1. 95% carnival, ticket, and scaled up iOS games — most of which don’t work as intended due to poor maintenance and cleaning. 2. Overpriced bargain bin greasy microwaved but okay tasting food where the only cheese is American, and the only safe option is «well-done.» That being said, I do have fun when I go here with a group. My problem is just that I have this dream of something akin to Flynn’s from Tron — more of an upscale no-kids-under-16(or at least had a «section» that didn’t allow unsupervised kids) version of D&B that has a real chef, a decent drink mixer specialist, some actual gourmet food, and a huge collection of carefully maintained real arcade classics like Metal Slug, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, NFL Blitz, Gauntlet, TMNT Turtles in Time, X-Men the Arcade game, a litany of pinball tables, Afterburner arcade cabinets(the ones that tilted and rolled — not just the standing ones), etc., instead of a pile of iOS games on 52″ plasma touch screens. It’s just a little depressing that it doesn’t live up to what you would expect for a place that seems to pride itself on being better than some kids junk place like Chuck E. Cheese.

So this is one of our go to spots to watch football on Sundays. They have all the games on several big screens. They have $ 3.50 bud and miller lites in pretty big glasses and have margaritas on special too. They also have $ 5 apps. Can’t beat it. The nachos are a good option. Servers have all been friendly and we’ve had no problems with management when we wanted our game on two TVs near us. My stepdaughter loves to play the games and they have new ones based on mobile apps; angry birds, temple run, candy crush. It’s easy for her(age 8) to rack up points and get a good prize in the store. She got a cute unicorn pillow pet last time. The coins on the cards for playing games go fast plan on spending at least $ 80 for a good time. I heard wednesday is half price games so that might be the way to go.

This place is a rip off! I don’t see why you can consolidate your game chips from 3 cards to one card but you cannot buy one of the chips packages to be split out between 3 cards. I came with 3 kids and had to buy the smaller packages because they will not load the larger chip packages between cards. Smfh at whoever came up with this way to screw over parents! It’s pretty clear why this place was only half full on a Saturday evening! Management is horrible, the carpet is nasty and many of the games were dirty and sticky. I was there over 2 hours and saw nobody cleaning anything. It’s going to be awhile before I return!

I am really leaning towards a 2.5, but my elementary math teacher always taught me to round up on anything five and up. However, because it was family night, I am going to try to make this review as nice and kind as possible despite some of the negative experiences we had. When we arrived, we weren’t necessarily greeted by the most pleasing and accommodating people. Nonetheless, we were taken to our table and seated promptly. After our waiter arrived, he didn’t seem like he was going to be a bad guy. He was very sweet, and he checked on us the entire time we were eating. The food was subpar, as it is to be expected in an establishment like this. I ordered a salad, and as I should’ve known, it was wilted and not very fresh. It wasn’t until after the food and dining experience that we really had a great time. We chose to add on a token and game card purchase to our food ticket. That gave us the opportunity to get more bang for our buck in the game room. My daughter and I had a great time, but be warned: if you want to play any of the most popular games, there will always be a line. You will need to have someone wait in line for you while you are waiting to play the game. Regardless, when you come to Dave and Busters, know that you are not coming to just have a nice dinner, you are coming to have a game loving experience!

At least my drink & soup was good… Didn’t care too much for the experience and will probably never come back for Taco Tuesday. It was a little weird how the waitress hopped up in our booth and started talking, but we took to her quickly. Very disappointed in the portions. I mean I know they are $ 1 and are made as such but you would have to actually make it and add meat… there was one smidgett of meat in the middle of the taco. They didn’t even try to fool us by at least spreading it smh then it was piled with lettuce and a little cheese. If this were a vegetarian taco then you guys rock! Then an extra scoop was like $ 1 or $ 2…if I’m not happy with the first $ 1 scoop you attempted why would I pay for another… I’ll wait… *Cricket* Well ok! Needless to say my first Taco Tuesday is now a throwback thurs memory cause I haven’t been back. *KupofKokoa*

I was here for my niece’s birthday party. I’m not sure if we can reserve a spot or not, but our party just sat at one of the table at the bar area. This place is well equipped with plenty of TVs that’s set on all different sport channels. We ordered a few things from their $ 5 appetizer menu. Pretzels, spinach dip, and mozzarella sticks. But make sure to compare the prices of the original and the special menu, because our server pointed out to us that you get two pretzels for $ 7 on the regular menu, but only 1 pretzel for $ 5 on the special. Their pretzels was always our favorite item on the menu, came with a super delicious dipping sauce. We one of us also ordered the unlimited wings for $ 20, which come with a $ 10 power card. They only have two flavor buffalo and another sweet sauce(can’t remember the name). We were able to share the wings with most of the people at the table(We were told that if we order enough food then it is ok to share). Each time they bring a new plate of wings, it also comes with a new cup of fries. Plenty of food for everyone. The service on the other end wasn’t as great. The server disappear for a period of time. Food and drinks took forever to come out. And by the way the server dealt with the situation, seem like he forget to put it in the system. Our cup was always empty. Had to ask several time for a refill. I guess it was expected.

It gets to stars only because the games were fun and we did have a good time. What bothers me most is the overall service at this location. It took almost thirty minutes JUSTTOGETIN on a Sunday night. They had two people working up front and it took forever. Then it took ten minutes just to get seated even though there are empty tables everywhere. It’s 8 pm on Sunday. Not super busy. Our waiter was unfamiliar with the specials and when we walked in there’s this huge sign that says $ 5 apps SUNDAYANDMONDAY. So, it’s Sunday and we inquired as to that and were told«oh. That’s doesn’t start until the 13th.» Then why is there a freaking sign then? We asked about using points to buy appetizers. He wasn’t familiar with that and told us you couldn’t. Wrong. A trip over to the redemption store got us vouchers for appetizers. So we educated him on that. We ordered a Walk the Plank drink and a beer plus some quesadillas and tater skins and some buffalo wings. It took fifteen minutes for drinks and then thirty minutes for food, so 45 minutes for dinner. Not cool. The wings were stone cold. I’d have sent them back but the waiter never came back to check on us. Nor did a manager ever visit our table. I had already had two drinks so anything was fine at that point, you know? The quesadilla was ok and the tater skins weren’t tater skins. They were hash brown patties with stuff on top. Just ok. Overall the food wasn’t awesome, but the service just pissed me off. Even with having two app vouchers, the bill was still over $ 40. That’s for a beer, two cocktails and some wings. Ridiculous. We will visit for games but I will NEVER eat here again.

I’m confused about all the bad reviews? Games and drinks and fun? What’s not to like?! I always come here on a Wednesday for half priced games, which is a very good and reasonable deal. I normally come around 9pm because it’s also happy hour from 9pm — 11pm. The food isn’t the greatest, but it isn’t the worst either! Whenever I go with a group of 3 or more, we always order the 5:15. It has about 5 wings, 5 fried shrimp, 5 quesadillas. and some potato chips. It’s freaking huge and always fills us up… along with the drinks haha. Overall, this location is the best Dave & Buster’s location, in my opinion. It’s more spacious and I feel the bar is a lot better with a lot better service. Will definitely be back every Wednesday!

This place never gets old. I mean drinks and games I am always game! Tips: –Go after 9 to avoid all the kids if your going with adults or on a date. –Good drink prices under $ 5 and shareable apps and plates are perfect. — Staff are cool and are available everywhere you turn. –Good amount of screens for the game and the bar area is awesome.

What are people talking about? Y’all must’ve gone at a bad time??? The hubby and I did the eat and play combo. We both got cheesesteaks and they were DELICIOUS! OMG! It could be that I’m 9 months preggo or that we went on a Thursday at around 6 pm. soo…not a whole lot of people were in sight. Our waitress was very nice… seemed a little nervous or stand offish for some reason… But yeah back to the food… very yummy… not your typical bar food… care was really put into this sandwhich… very cheesy but not overly messy… the meat was tender and juicy so I could possibly see why one gentleman said it was soggy. The games were pretty fun… hubby and I did basketball the whole time… just not a lot to choose from. Idk… I remember there being more games in there as a small child. I’ve just gotten bigger I guess. Lol! Good times!

My best friend and her family were in town over Easter weekend and we had a lot of activities planned. D&B’s wasn’t originally in that plan, but our Friday plans got shifted around a bit and left an opening on Saturday night. Bff had her 10 year old son and 16 year old nephew with her as well, so I called D&B to check age policies. We wouldn’t be leaving the house until almost 8 and I wanted to make sure they didn’t have an 18+ Policy after 10 or something, rendering our trip useless. The website mentioned nothing of it, but I thought I’d call to be safe. I was told that all of our party would be welcome until close. Whew! Sigh of relief! That’s awesome. We get there and I get it, it’s a busy Saturday, but the people up front seemed annoyed. Having never been to this new location(or any Dave and Busters location in over 5 years), how the hell am I supposed to be psychic? The desk you see when you walk in is only to purchase credits for the games, if you want to eat, you go to a separate desk/stand off to the side where they take your name. When I walked in and only saw the one main big desk in the front, we waited in line for 10 minutes only to be told, kind of rudely, that we were in the wrong line. Signage would be great, guys. We got our names on the list for a table, but on a Saturday around 8pm, there was a wait. We went *back* up to the front to load credits on to cards. Food was eh, as is to be expected from a place like D&B. The biggest surprise was when the waiter gave us a little inside tip. So, Moscow Mules are really«in» right now, and D&B’s apparently has some strawberry one, so we were explaining the difference between ginger ale and ginger beer to our friends and we asked the waiter if there was any way we could either get a sample of the ginger beer or just buy a glass of it. He said that they don’t use real ginger beer for their moscow mules, despite the fact that the special menu card said they featured«house-made ginger beer»… It’s a ginger-type syrup mixed with soda. Not a real ginger beer at all. Lo and behold, at 10:45pm, there’s an overhead announcement that all patrons under the age of 18 must leave by 11! What in the holy fuck, I had specifically called to make sure that 2 members of our party wouldn’t be kicked out… I went up to the front and asked to speak to a manager. He said that he’s not sure why it’s not on their webpage(I was viewing the mobile version, so maybe it is on the desktop site), and he’s really not sure why someone told me that on the phone… but it was fine for them to go ahead and stay this time. He apologized for any inconvenience and said that if anyone hassled us to get them out of there, to refer them to the manager. No worries, all handled. Still, really annoying. Had we known, we would’ve rearranged other plans and gotten there a couple of hours earlier, making it a total non-issue. As usual, the stuff you can ‘buy’ with your winnings is the same crap as always, though a lot of it appears to be even lower quality than it used to be. I ranked up a lot of points in a couple of hours and didn’t know what to spend them all on… fiancé and I decided to get some coffee traveler mugs with the D&B logo. Yeah, we took them home to hand wash them? They both broke, but in different ways. There goes that however many tickets we wasted on those. They went in the trash the next day. Parking is a nightmare here, as well. Overall, most likely would not return. A lot of it was typical D&B type stuff(cheapo prizes, mediocre food, crap parking, etc), but still. Meh.

This Dave & Busters is pretty big. They have awesome TV’s in the sports side where the bar is. There is alot of selections for games. I love it here. It’s always packed here though. So be prepared to wait for seats. I will say that this place has the worse service times at the bar. It’s like they don’t have enough bartenders. It takes forever to get drinks! Also, my bartender today frustrated me. She wasn’t really around to give us drinks when we needed it. When it was time to tab out she didn’t even bother to ask if I was paying with cash or to run it on the card. It’s just common courtesy. Other then that I love going for games and hang out but service has always been bad here.

I was tasked with setting up a farewell outing for a couple of coworkers. One of them chose D&B’s. When I called, they told me they wont take reservations. I was transferred and left a voicemail for the event planner. She never called back. Very unprofessional. I called back a week later and was transferred to her. She explained we’d have to rent a party room, then all the food and drinks would have to be on one check. No. I arrived about 4:30pm on a Saturday. I thought, why are all these cars here, it cant be THAT crowded. Hahahaha!!! Boy, was I wrong. It was like a zoo in that place. When you walk in, there’s a long line at the front. It’s not clear that it’s the line to get a game playing card. You have to walk around further back to put your name down for a table. I told them I’d like seating for 20 people. They told me 3 hours. I asked, well what can you do for me? I was hesitantly told seating for 10 with a 45 minute to 1 hour possible wait. We waited 45 minutes and checked again. They explained there was a party of 20 in front of us and it’d be at least another hour. Unfortunately, the group decided to split up. Some stayed, some went elsewhere. I went to the mall… I doubt I will EVER come back here on a weekend again. The D&B’s I’ve been to at home(TN) gets crowded, but nothing like the chaos I witnessed here. It’s just not set up to accommodate the number of people that come.

Let’s be honest: Dave & Busters is not going to be a light, classy establishment with pristine floors, a spacious floor, gourmet cuisine, and quiet atmosphere. It is going to be noisy and crowded, oftentimes filled with sugar-filled kids, drunk adults, lots of noise and flashing lights. But it’s really, really fun. I love all the games here. I like working my way around the floor from the button-pushing ticket-dispensing games to the physical games(i.e., skee ball, which in my mind counts as wholesome, healthy exercise) and then to the various racing games. Boats, monster cars, trucks, etc. And also the shooting games. I would never actually shoot a deer in real life, but I’m REALLY inexplicably good at Big Buck Hunter for some reason. Yes, that last sentence was a challenge to the entire world. And then the coin pushing games. I’m banned by my family from playing these now because I got too addicted to them. I’ve been to really nice casinos in resorts and cruise ships, and never felt the urge to gamble my savings away. But here! In the dark of Dave & Busters, by the neon glow of the chirping games, I lose myself in coin pushing. The coins all look SO close to the edge!!! Just one more coin and I’m sure they’ll all go over! Just one more coin! Ughh. Also, be sure to try DARKESCAPE4-D if you haven’t already. It was really, really scary. The food is not great, but hey– it’s an arcade! I like eating here. The menu is pretty varied. They have standard arcade food(nachos, burgers, buffalo wings, cheese sticks, potato skins); healthier food(apple pecan salad, Caesar salad, platters of celery, carrots, tomato, etc.); seafood(shrimp tsunami, grilled salmon, fried shrimp platter); pasta(different types of alfredo, macaroni and cheese), sandwiches(philly cheese steak, turkey avocado, chicken parm); limited steaks(New York strip, sirloin) and desserts like cheesecake and a chocolate fondue. I’ve tried the chocolate fondue before and it isn’t bad. It was not particularly amazing either; they basically melted something like a Hershey’s bar and put it on a plate with marshmallows, fruit and graham crackers. But when you’re recovering from being scared out of your wits by the zombies of Dark Escape 4-D, carbs are great! No, you’re not going to get a nice steak here. Don’t expect that. But who cares? You’re sitting ten feet away from the most addictive coin pushing games you’ll ever encounter!!! Just order something unhealthy and delicious, that is befitting of a neon-lighted, noisy, adult arcade and eat it so you can go back to playing.

Sat down at the bar. Took about 20 minutes before the confused bartenders got me a beer. I understand it’s Saturday, shame in management not to hire more bartenders. They are totally worked. Finally ordered my food. 15 minutes later food arrives… wrong order. Send it back and 15 minutes later the food arrives. They got it right this time. The food tasted ok, no big complaints there. Service on the other hand… terrible. I had to finally ask for silver wear so I could eat my food. My beer was empty by this time and I had to wave down a bartender to give me another beer. Several people standing next to me at the bar having the same problem. I would not recommend to eat here unless you lots of time and patience. My impression is that it’s not very well managed and the poor employees here gets the blame.
