Went here for brunch; very delicious! Enjoyed the $ 10 mimosas for a penny refill. The history of the place is amazing!

I drive from Frisco to the Oak Lawn area just to dine, drink, and hang with friends. I absolutely love the atmosphere!!! Their swirl margarita(Sangria Margarita) is so good! It’s loaded with alcohol! Trust me, you only need one, because if you try to drink two, you might find out that the alcohol is more than you can handle. The food is to die for! The queso and nachos are my all time favorite; that is normally what I order when I visit. If you are in the area, please stop by! You will not be disappointed!

Great place, especially for large dinner parties! The service is outstanding. We went there with a reservation for 20 and 30 people showed up. They moved tables around and accommodated us — on a Saturday evening!

Cyclone’s has a fun ambiance, friendly staff, and hearty Patron margaritas but the food disappoints. My Budweiser is cold and my bf’s jalapeño margarita is strong and delicious. The chips are fresh and salty but the salsa is not quite as good as the cilantro-rich salsa at Gloria’s. Although the entrees are well presented and fresh, the fish tacos are bland except for a unpleasant fishy taste. My bf’s brisket tacos also lack flavor. The comfy booth and good drinks add a star to the otherwise two star restraunt. Word to the wise, have some drinks and snacks but not dinner.

They charged me twice on my credit card my original bill and later on I find out they charged me for something I knew nothing about.

If you want bad service with gnats and flies floating around come to this location. The manager Orlando is a piece of shit! I requested the soft shell tacos they were horrible so he THOUGHT he was coming over here to belittle us about the food. Orlando is lucky we did not want to mess up our Friday. We immediately got the check and left. If it was not for our friend we would have went in on his ass. I only gave 1 star due to the poor service

Personally, this is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. That might not be saying much, but I drive 20 miles just to eat here on my day off sometimes. The Enchiladas Del Mar is why. The enchiladas are like heaven in your mouth… Cream sauce, shrimp, pine nuts OHMY. And don’t even get me started on their salsa. I dream of their salsa. It has the perfect spice. The perfect flavor. The perfect everything. And yes, yes, yes! The margaritas are delicious as well. One will make you start giggling, that’s for sure. As far as parking goes, you do NOT have to ONLY valet. Park somewhere off of Hall or Cedar Springs and use your legs to do that thing called walking! There’s always parking available right down the block(unless it’s the weekend and Cedar Springs is popping!) You might break a sweat, but you will soon be greeted by air conditioning and a glass of ice, cold water. All-in-all, I love Cyclone and I have the pleasure of coming back this weekend.

Disclaimer: I only had drinks here during happy hour(and the chips+salsa). Margaritas here are huge and delicious. The service was ok but not terrible. My friends and I were at least able to find our waiter for another refill. Again not sure about the food but the restaurant was definitely filling up as people got off work and trickled in. I would park down the street and walk over so you won’t have to worry about valet.

I’m torn on how many stars to give. I loved the margaritas but the food wasn’t great. We’ll stick with 3 stars for now. Perhaps I may go back sometime & things will be better. So let’s talk about the food. I ordered the chicken flautas. I had asked if I could have beef but apparently they either don’t have beef or can’t substitute. The server didn’t seem to know. I love flautas so I was excited either way. I got my chicken flautas & it was sitting on top of sour cream. This is a bad idea as it made the fried tortilla mushy instead of crunchy. On top was guac, lettuce, & diced tomato. Once I bit into it all I got was dry chicken & not much flavor. Disappointed. The rice was okay but I’ve definitely had better. On to the best part of the experience… The margaritas! I had 2 top shelf margaritas and I was DRUNK. I’m not a lightweight & I’ve had my share of good margaritas but these may be the best I’ve had! They definitely aren’t shy on the alcohol or size of the drink which I love. Overall I’d go back here for the margaritas & the environment but not the food. FYI you have to valet park.

My husband and I eat here allot and to be honest, they served the BEST Mexican food and they have awesome cocktails. The ambiance there is happy and the staff is very polite. The waiters and waitresses wear very professional uniforms. Very professional and the desserts are WAYTOOGOOD!

The décor is nice. The crab meat nachos are good. I have ordered all the food items on the HH menu because they sounded and looked delicious. Once I received my food, I realized looks can be deceiving. Overall, the food is nothing to promote. The drinks are boring. Better off ordering beer or buying the drink ingredients and mixing them yourself for a better taste and feeling. The service is sub par. The bartenders did more cleaning and watching tv than serving drinks. During HH drinks should be flowing. As I looked around, most of the customers drink glasses were dry which is unusual for HH. The bartenders pay little attention to the patrons. Everyone kept having to get their attention for another drink, food, utensils, and the check. There were about 6 servers just standing around talking while customers continued to complain about not being seated with their party or in a timely manner in the dining area which was half empty. But i understand why the restaurant and bar was not full, other customers had already learned what I should have learned after my first experience at Cyclone, do not waste my time and money. Do not bother speaking with the manager.

I checked in a few days ago while hanging out with friends and I was going to eat but it was late. I just watched my friends drink. So, I held off on reviewing Cyclone Anaya until I actually tried the food. I sat at the bar and it wasn’t that crowed at all. But it was hard to get and keep the bartenders attention. She kept acting like she couldn’t hear us. Yes, there was music playing and people talking but it wasn’t over powering that she had to keep saying«huh» all the time. Happy Hour was still in affect because it was 6:55p but my companion and I were told happy hour was over. We looked at the clock again and it still wasn’t 7p. So, she left the bar to check to see if we could still get happy hour at 6:58p…STILL not 7p! THe time wasting would ensure her computer would roll over to regular prices. Had she not played games, she wouldn’t have had to adjust her computer to give the happy hour discount! Now on to the food: I had the Suizas which is red corn enchiladas with a white cheese sauce, topped with onions and poblano peppers and stuffed with chicken. It was accompanied with the standard rice and beans. It was ok but needed a little more salt. The food temp wasn’t what it should have been which was odd because the plate was hot. Not sure how that happened. For the over-inflated price, I was expecting a bigger plate and have leftovers. Not so much. I was able to eat every bite and did get full but I didn’t have that satisfied feeling you get with enchiladas. The food digested pretty quickly and was hungry a couple of hours later. I could have sworn I had Mexican and not Chinese food! I think I will reserve this place for drinks on special occasions but it won’t be a regular place.

I cannot express how much I love this place. Its always so lively and there’s always fun people bouncing around. The wait staff is always friendly and accommodating. They aren’t the quickest bunch when it comes to ordering and getting your food so don’t come here if in a hurry. I rarely order anything from the entrée menu. My friends and I always pic a few appetizers and go to town. The ceviche is ok. Kind of boring but not bad. It could use a bit more lime to it. I personally add a little jalapeño to mine but I think everything tastes better spicy! The chicken and steak nachos are awesome! They definitely don’t skimp on the meat! And you can never go wrong with their chili con queso! Especially when you add meat to it. They have quite a few margaritas to choose from but the El Don or Crazy Mexican margaritas are my favorite. All margaritas come in frozen or rocks option and a choice of regular or large size. Always go with the large, duh! Overall great food, good service, and a great atmosphere.

I’ve written reviews for Cyclones before… but I have to add the following review after our 8÷4÷13 visit after church: Maria is a fantastic server. Gracious and quick and a touch of invisibility that is not lost on us.

This place is more club than restaurant. I understand it’s not an establishment for a quiet dinner but I’m not used to dining at a restaurant where girls around me wear a bra as a top(yes, no shirt) and where the guy in my direct view was eating dinner with half of his ass hanging out of his underwear. No exaggeration. Go see for yourself. There’s a difference between lively & fun versus trashy & loud. I don’t remember it being like this in the past, the food is still good but I can’t see myself coming back here unless I feel like staring at scantly clad men and ladies.(This is not a good thing, it was not cute).

Cyclone Anayas — named after the Mexican wrestler that the restaurant has a giant written adage to near the bar — the man married Miss Houston! Anyway other than the wrestler’s smug face all over the restaurant and even in the bathroom, this was a pretty beautifully decorated place for a Mexican restaurant. I came here for brunch and knew that since I was in Dallas I needed me some Tex-Mex. From the outside, the place didn’t seem like much, actually it looked pretty damn tiny. But when you walk in, the place stretches in both directions far and wide with a circular bar in the center of the place. The booths are spacious and cushioned and were my choice for seating. I started off with a mimosa(it is brunch after all) which interestingly enough came in a wine glass topped to the brim(plus one). The chips and salsa came next — my reason for loving Mexican food so much, and I wasn’t disappointed. However, I also wasn’t thrilled. The salsa had a bit of a kick to it, but to me at least, it seemed a bit watery. I still munched away because my stomach was calling for sacrifice as I glanced down at the menu. Tons of egg dishes adorned it and I went for the Huevos Rancheros, which I seem to order anytime I’m at a new restaurant because I’d like something to compare to Matchbox’s(in D. C) huevos rancheros which are godly. I got some roasted potatoes on the side and when the food came, was pretty happy with them. The eggs were cooked to my liking, but the dish itself was a bit bland. The ranchero sauce could’ve been spicier, and I would have liked some black beans, sour cream, and maybe some guacamole on top of my eggs and tortilla. So as a simple dish of huevos rancheros, this was fine — but I wanted more! So with the alright main dish, the great heaping of mimosa, and the about decent waiting service, this place lands right in the middle with a «A-Ok» as Unilocal calls it, review. I’m sure in a place teeming with Tex-Mex that you can find a more authentic, delicious place for food than Cyclone Anaya’s, but if you want amusing pictures of a wrestler and a TV in the bathroom, this is for you.

Food: The food had no flavor. That alone just about rules this place out lol Parking: Valet wasn’t at station and restaurant provided no non-valet parking so I had to risk it and eventually just parked my car in the valet lot myself. Service: Our server seemed like a nice guy but was completely unprepared to be waiting tables on his own Atmosphere: dark? it was comfy and causal but not memorable.
