$ 20 for all you can eat and drink(bottomless mimosas). That’s definitely a deal right here! When you are craving quantity and not necessarily quality, and you’re looking to get buzzed while enduring chugging juice along with your champagne, then this place is the right place for you! I came here for a Sunday Funday brunch, ready to get my bottomless mimosa-fix on! This place has all sorts of tex-mex type of foods, fruit bar, omelette station, and chocolate fountain. Is there a lot of food? There’s good selection, but you’ll get tired of it quick. The mimosa service though is quick and constantly flowing, so that’s definitely a plus. For a large group, it was fun to come and relax as it’s a casual place. Great value, but don’t come for the quality of the food, as you’ll be quickly disappointed.

Terrible service on a slow night and even worse unauthentic food. I don’t know how they keep paying rent for that location with so many better restaurants that could replace it. I gave it 2 stars for the margaritas — that were«allegedly» top shelf but who knows. Plus she brought mine dresses on the rocks and I asked for no salt.

Great brunch tons of delicious food deserves 3 – 4 stars. Unlimited mimosas durning brunch hours complimentary with the buffet. My honest opinion the buffet price is Vegas priced but not Vegas quality. I can understand the higher price for the amount of alcohol you consume but I wasn’t a fan of the mimosas in the first place. I would have gave then 3 – 4 stars but we had a horrible server. I was with a large group of 8 I understand it was brunch hours they were busy. at first he was amazing constantly filling our glasses. But when it came down to the check we all decided to tip in cash because we could leave larger bills. When he brought us the check, we singed and everything, he started to pick them up right away before we were ready to leave. as he did so he looked at each ticket and shook his head with anger I and a couple others in our group were upset so we choose no to tip at all I found that rude and unprofessional. He ruined his chance for a good tip just cause he was impatient and unprofessional. Who picks up the tip in front of you? Unless I gave it to you personally you always wait till we are done and ready to go. Do not rush the customer.

Of Note: This review is based on my experience at Mattito’s during Cinco de Mayo 2016. Got invited to start the festivities out at Mattito’s with a group of friends. Had never been here, but apparently my über driver knew the place well and raved about it, so I was already excited to try it out. First of all, the place is much larger than I anticipated. Of course, due to the holiday, there were a LOT of people there, but I loved that there was a patio and another party out back. We decided to chill and eat at a table first, before heading out back and getting our dance on. I tried the Rumba Rita which was actually quite delicious. Not too strong, but enough alcohol for me to taste. My friends at the table also enjoyed theirs. But, since I’m a foodie, I have to talk about the brisket enchiladas — amazing. Big fan. Just enough flavoring for me to get hooked. The service: was slower than normal i’m sure considering the amount of people crammed into that place, but the waitress was still very nice and tried to tend to us as best she could. She had help from the other servers so that was nice as well. Atmosphere: Clean. Casual. Upbeat. Lots of space. Love the patio. Bright and open design. Once we were done eating, we headed out back to witness the queso eating contest, the electric bull hilarity, and to mix and mingle with the rest of the party goers. All in all, I had a great time. We actually left for another party and ended up coming back here to end our night. Good times. I will definitely have to come back here again to see what its like on a typical weekend and try the brunch my über driver kept talking about. We’ll see!

They do have to go but you have to fax them. For some reason they don’t do to go orders over the phone. I faxed them and called them to make sure they received my go the order. They did but some how they forgot one of the entrées. I was ok with that because the all of my food got done at the same time. When I picked up the food it took a while to get it because there wasn’t a name with my order. I faxed my to go order and forgot my name which is why they couldn’t find my order. For each entrée you get they also give you free chips. The chips are really good and so is the salsa. they have a lot of interesting foods here. I got the avocado enchiladas because I’ve never had them before. It was really good and I didn’t know places even made this. They have parking around the conner but it’s kind of confusing when you drive in there. The parking garage is where the traffic is unfortunately. I would still recommend you come here because they have interesting food.

In my latest visit tacos al carbon had a weird, sour flavor to them — quite peppery as well. The draft Corona Light was also odd, probably from the bottom of the barrel. I go here because it’s nearby and I love their chips and salsa, but increasingly there are little slips in the cooking. Nonetheless I’m sure I’ll be back. Staff still excellent and friendly in any case.

I don’t know why the wait for the brunch buffet is so long. It’s disgusting. The food is cold yet over cooked. The whole restaurant is chaos. The clientele are a bunch of drunk out-of-control barbarians yelling and throwing drinks at waiters. I couldn’t eat and the whole experience ruined my entire Sunday. I will never return to this hellhole.

I had brunch here on a Sunday about a month or so ago. Because it is a buffet, I didn’t have high expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was there a wide variety of foods to choose from. The food was actually tasty. I can’t remember exactly what my favorites were, but I remember getting back into the buffet line for more food. I arrived late and my friends were already there waiting for a table so I personally can’t speak on the waiting time. There was definitely a crowd, it was very busy. However, the buffet line moved pretty fast and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. We sat on the patio so that was nice. Also they have unlimited mimosas and our waitress made sure that our glasses stayed full.

So we arrived kind of late for their buffet. No one would try it but me. I had bottomless mimosas and the brunch buffet. I only went up there once but it was delicious chops and salsa were on point. Waiter acted kind of stupid one of our group wanted bottomless mimosa but no brunch for the 40 minutes left and he said he was charging it by the glass. Huge crowd and long wait.

I love this location for Sunday brunch! Such a wide variety of food on the buffet line, from tamales and flautas to chicken and waffles. Made to order omelet bar and quesadilla bar, chocolate fountain… so much going on! The dessert table is super random, I saw zebra cakes one time lol. Did I mention bottomless mimosas are included and they are STRONG?! Such a beautiful patio that’s great for people watching while enjoying all the delicious food. Service is pretty good unless you sit in the waaay back of the patio, but they kept my mimosa glass full so I was okay lol.

Great food, Rude Service We got in at 9pm, ordered our food that took 30mins to get to us, after our food arrived that we eat, the Manager came to our table to tell us that with in 20 mins they will be picking up plates. Which I find rude, you shouldn’t rush paying customers or just say that we are not taking orders to begin with. I wouldn’t go back, first restaurant ever that I’ve been told to hurry up and finish my dinner.

The only reason I’m giving two stars is due to my previous experiences with the brunch buffet being on par. I want to start out with the fact this was my birthday dinner I had friends drive into Dallas for. I’ve always loved the brunch especially at this location, so figured I’d enjoy the dinner as well. Service: took ages to track down our waitress. Even had a friend go order another margarita at the bar because she didn’t acknowledge the other half of our party of 8 on her last round. Didn’t get my water till our food came out. On top of it all, just not very friendly. Completely opposite of the servers I’ve had previously. The food: BEYOND disappointing. You lose me when my fajitas aren’t sizzling when brought to the table. The chicken was unappealing, chunks vs strips. Conclusion: Upset I had talked so highly of the restaurant for our group to disappointed. Would only recommend for brunch at this point in time.

First time and probably the last time I go here. And I’ll probably only go back I want to get drunk off bottomless mimosas. Food was not very good and seemed frozen. Service was not bad. Since when I got up and asked the manager for hot sauce and ketchup. And I told him I didn’t have any. improved since I asked for hot sauce. Besides the egg based food being cooked. Every other thing in the buffet seemed to be frozen or reheated. Besides the service being great. The food was terrible and overpriced for 19.99. I would pass on this place for brunch, unless you bottomless mimosas are your thing on Sunday.

Service is slow. Food wasn’t warm and very mediocre. Margaritas were very icy with not much flavor to them. The patio looks great from the road and is on a very busy intersection so if you want to be seen, then here you go. Given it a shot 3 times and it’s fine to strike it off my list now but i don’t think I’ll return.

They just built a location near me and, based on my experience here, I won’t be visiting. Some friends and I met here for brunch. My observations were thus: Service: Our server was nice but spoke very little English. I think this was the reason why he, repeatedly, walked away from us multiple times while someone in our party attempted to address him. We had a table of about 10, and he dropped the check, and rushed off as several in our party tried to ask him to split the check. It was eventually split, but why he wouldn’t ask in the first place is beyond me. Food: Overpriced. I ordered some grilled shrimp served with rice and a green sauce and grilled veg. Seemingly good quality shrimp, but chewy from being overcooked. Sufficient seasoning, but I wasn’t wowed. The vegetables were completely unseasoned. And the meal itself, while it filled the entire plate, left me feeling hungry enough to go to a fast food restaurant after I left. And I’m a petite person and light eater. The bottomless mimosas were not good, and overpriced from what I saw on the check. Ambiance: The bathroom stalls were so dark I had to crack my door open while using the restroom to let in some light. This resulted in me losing some cards that fell out my bag(no bag hook) while fumbling around in the restroom. Luckily when I went back to retrieve them, two were on the floor, and a good Samaritan had turned in the last one to the manager. I was unimpressed that the manager made me wait for at least 10 minutes while he finished his phone call to get my card from the safe. Customer service doesn’t seem to be a strength at this location.

So this review is based on the Sunday brunch buffet. Ummm, where do I begin? Long wait if you don’t have a reservation. The buffet itself has many options although when it’s busy it’s hard to find an option that isn’t ruined by other patrons due to the massive amounts of food they put on their plates. The quality of food is about on par with what you’d expect from a buffet. As the old adage goes, «you get what you pay for.» The bottomless mimosas were ok. Looked like they were using Windsor, which is a lot better than average. But after 4 – 5 of them who cares if the food or champagne tastes good or not. Service was the only bright spot, although I’m going to guess that the servers don’t get«big tippers» based on the fact that people are serving themselves, although the majority of patrons looked like they go «big.» Seriously, Wilford Brimley would have a «diabetus» field day. I guess if I was a kid or someone who ate 5000 calories a day, then maybe, just maybe I may have liked this buffet; but quite frankly the quality of the food was as expected so I didn’t set myself up for a big disappointment. I got what I paid for: an average brunch buffet. On a side note: shouldn’t there be sneeze guards over certain foods? I.e. Fruit, salsa, guacamole?

I came here for brunch and was pleasantly surprised! It’s buffet which is my favorite AND they have bottomless mimosas! When we got there, there was a 45 minute wait to be sat inside — so we sat outside even though it was a little chilly. Our server was out every few minutes refilling our drinks and salsa! The food was delicious! And fairly cheap as well :)

Came here on New Year’s Eve since the club that my friend and I was attending was right next to it. We walked in and found seats immediately that was nice. The waitress was really nice and helped us order some appetizers. We got salsa and chips which was good, then she brought out this masterpiece dip. It was Gucamole, Bean, SourCream, Beef and Cheese all in one… OMGTHISPLACEHASTHEBESTDIPEVER! My friend and I fell in love. I would seriously drive 30 mins come here. Brunch Review The place was very busy and the set up for the brunch was very busy!!! Food selection was good but blue mesa does bet them when it comes food variety. I think mattitos was not expecting the many people to show up that day cause the food supply was replished as fast. Brunch was about $ 20.00 w/drink. one suggestion: i would move all the buffet to the top floor due to the amount of space up stairs instead of the small space they use downstairs. That way its not so crowded

One of the better Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in Dallas that were Tex mex, not fancy mex. First off you have to get the bob. It’s queso with ground beef, sour cream and guac. The bowl is big enough for 4 and delicious! Their margaritas were decent. There was a blue drink everyone seemed to love, noted for next time! I got the combo of 2 choice enchiladas and a beef taco w/rice and beans. It was delicious, their pulled chicken is fantastic! Location is right in the middle of everything but if you’re driving I could see parking being an issue. Über!

Miguel was a cool chill waiter with fast service and good recommendations. Pollo con Crema was good but I think my Texas enchiladas was the best. Side of guac was good size and great flavor. Their salsa was good flavor too and not too spicy. Their ice tea was fresh brewed and strong the way it should be. Great spot for casual Mexican food

Matito’s is a fun brunch spot, especially when you are really hungry and with a fun or rowdy group. For buffet, the food is not terrible quality, and of course, you get to try a little bit of everything(and gauge each Tex-Mex item visually before committing). But most dishes are not remarkable, just average. The bottomless mimosas are certainly a good deal, though again, not great quality juice or champagne, and a high juice to champagne ratio that fills you up. Service was accommodating for our large party, the music set the mood for a fun brunch, and the desert spread was really cool!

I was here to meet a colleague and he recommended this place. I highly praise for efficiency when the restaurant has an on-site parking garage, which is easily accessible from Welborn St. I ordered a Pollo con Mole. I heard the waitress laughed silently as I called it chicken mole. The flavor was right on the point. I was very surprised with the tenderness of chicken breast. Rice, beans and mole sauce were at right temperature. I can’t see myself eating chips and salsa. Too hot. My next trip to Dallas, I’m gonna bring some friends to share my joy of the delicious Tex-Mex cuisine at Mattito’s.

Ventured to this location since it is within walking distance of our new apartment and closer than our other favorite(Chuys). Needles to say we are now hooked on Mattitos! Coronitas were strong and perfectly blended.(We also eye’d a sangria one with a mini wine bottle) Queso is alright(3⁄5). We ordered steak and combo fajitas, and the portions were HUGE. Plenty of leftovers. The table also ordered the fish tacos, which had a very generous portion of fish. The nachos are also a great portion with a lot of meat. They also have a great happy hour(if you can make it before 6), with free appetizers and discounted drinks! We’ll be back. Plenty of seating and nice environment with a lot of TVS.

Wanted to give a 3.5. For a Happy Hour visit, I would give it a 4.5 — and this where my coworkers and I meetup to visit and converse. Drink specials are decent and the free food is a major plus! Food is average but it’s free and drinks a good. For s meal, for the price versus taste cost it is a 2.5 … I’ve only been here once for a regular meal and given the other options in the area for he price, I’d go somewhere else. So, an average of a 3.5, but I’m a positive person so I rounded up. This will continue to be our Happy Hour location. Today, I tried one of the Chicken type appetizers on Happy Hour special … Amazing!

I am a HUGE Mexican food snob. I am very particular about my queso and guac and even more particular about my margaritas. SO, let me explain my three stars and my experience at Mattito’s: I’ll start with the food(duh!): Chips and queso — Yes, I’ve had better. However, I definitely enjoyed this queso and would get it again! My BF loved the salsa! I had avocado enchiladas… This is right up my alley. I eat just about anything that has avocado! These enchiladas were filled with sliced avocados and topped with a cilantro lime sauce. It came with rice and beans. I actually really liked this dish but it could have used a little more spice. Drinks: Check back in a few weeks when I go back for happy hour and try the margaritas :) Ambience: I think the restaurant itself is really cute and fun. The bar area is lively and set up well. They have a fairly big patio but I didn’t notice and sort of sun shade so it was quite bright when the sun was setting. Overall, I will go back but I want to try other Mexican food places first. It wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst… It was A-OK :)

The first time I went here was when I was at SMU(a sort of long time ago– graduated in ’06). And I remember the food being good and a fun atmosphere. It was pretty much the same thing this time around. Went this past Saturday night and ordered the tamales which came with two chicken and two beef, so a generous portion. I could only finish one because I had filled up on chips and queso lol. The only complaint I have is the queso which was thick and kept drying up into this solid mass which broke my chips when approached. Sooo they might want to work on that. Other than that, patio is pretty festive and I love the latin/salsa music. I am biased… I dance salsa/bachata. Anywho, I would go back to check out the other menu items. Enjoy!

As a guest in Dallas, I had the chance to visit Mattitos with a work group for a buffet dinner. They had us set up upstairs in a private room. The room was great! We had our own bartender and the space was perfect for about 25 of us, where we enjoyed the view from the floor to ceiling windows as we sipped some strong, delicious beverages. The food was just okay for me though — with one exception — the«Bob Armstrong» dip. LOVED the dip. You must have this queso goodness! It was cheesy, meaty deliciousness, and I could have just eaten that with margaritas all night. I also enjoyed the chicken tacos. The protein was juicy, seasoned well, and cut in nice big pieces. However, the taquittos, mini chimi’s, and sopapilla dessert were not appealing to me — over fried and not tasty. This is an okay place to eat. It was super busy on a Wednesday during the dinner rush, which speaks well to it being a decent place to visit. However, I expected better food — it is Texas, and the restaurant is Tex-Mex. I wanted to be amazed, and I was just left a bit disappointed when it was only okay. I could have had this meal at just about any Tex-Mex restaurant anywhere. Maybe save this spot for drinks — which were awesome — and the Bob Armstrong. Yes, definitely order Bob!

Great spot for a Sunday Funday! I had always heard a lot of my friends talk about their Sunday brunch buffet and how good it was… well I finally experienced it and they were so right! Who doesn’t love a buffet?! I mean all you can eat Mexican food, hot, fresh & delicious. Did I mention that they have bottomless mimosas as well?! And this all lasts till 2:30. Just perfect. One thing I must mention is this little thing they have called a Bacon Bomb. Sounds amazing right?! Well it IS! It’s a succulent, juicy piece of white meat chicken, with melty cheese on the inside, rolled up into a ball with a thick piece of bacon, cooked perfectly. Definitely one of my favorite things. I wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up here every Sunday. I mean there’s never a wrong time to have Mexican food, really!
