Horrible service. Food wasn’t that great. Rude waitresses. They also like to advertise that they close at 10 but if you call them, they’ll say 9:30 and if you cal anytime after 9 they’ll completely ignore your phone call altogether. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Don’t waste your time or money.

Went to Sakura today after Toro was packed and Toro wanted to try and cram 12 people around 1 Hibachi table. I have to say I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised about the cleanliness and superb wait staff. On top of that it is enormous portions and pricing wasn’t bad either. The food was great as well Apparently they are under new owners(bought in Feb 2015) and you can tell. Sushi was fresh and they also got a Hibachi chef from Toro to come over and he was excellent. We will definitely be back soon and often.

This was our first time trying hibachi here. It was also the first time taking our 3 kiddos(5 – 10 yrs old) along for the hibachi experience. The service and food were excellent. The kiddos really enjoyed themselves and their meals which is a huge plus. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

I invited my friends for girls get together at the restaurant because I had the coupon. While I was waiting for the rest of the group who are coming from all over greater Houston, i informed the waitress about the coupon. I showed her the coupon. She had no idea about the deal. Now I could not inform my friends to go else where. I asked her to call her manager. The manager informed the waitress that he did not know about the deal either. Although I was really angry, because my friends were coming to that address, we decided to stay. The service was really bad. Hibatchi was too salty. Meat was too small portion. I had better. They were rude. I did not try the sushi, but I will spend my money on somewhere else.

This place is great. Unlike other Sushi places around Cypress, the Sushi rolls here are very big and very, very good. Much better than the Sushi place on the other side of this strip mall. The Hibachi is also very good. My kids love to celebrate just about every birthday and special day there. Like another reviewer said, I think this as a cheaper and better Shogun. Service never fails to be good.

Ive eaten hibachi here 3 times now, very good food, friendly hibachi chefs, overall pretty good. I went again today though, and was a little disappointed in service. I called ahead of time for seats, but had to wait once arriving bc they said they couldn’t turn down the people walking in. Then, got the wrong drink. Food and service between very good still, though. Then after paying with a card, I didnt get my card back, and the waitress didnt come back, so I looked by the computer at the bar and my card was just sitting there so I went ahead and picked up and went on my way. Overall I really like this place, and would definitely go back, but this one experience left me disappointed.

THESERVICEISPOORANDTHEFOODISNOTTASTY Our group of Five went in on December 20th for a meal after my daughters graduation from College. We did not have a good experience. It took 10 minutes to be waited on once we were seated, and the waiter who brought our drinks had not been trained to take a cork out of a wine bottle. My vegetarian daughter ordered brown rice to go with her hibachi meal of fish. The order was never passed along to the chef and we were served fried rice with chicken in it. We politely told him we wanted brown and that she does not eat meat. Then the brown rice arrives to the table with chicken in it. The main meal was already on her plate and they had no more brown rice. hmmmm. Several other orders were messed up. and the attention to who was having what was lost in translation. We were not given a break on the price of her meal, a free ice cream or some other offer to compensate for their.

I have been here several times and I think it’s a warm and friendly place. More than that, the food is good and the price is reasonable. I like and recommend it.

Great food, very fast service, I had walked in just a few minutes before close and they treated me like any other customer that would have came during standard hours.

I don’t think it is original Japanese restaurant. Bc owner, waitress and chef were vietnamese. I heard Vietnamese the rest of time I were dinner here. Service was good, food was just ok to me. Well, I would come back someday!!!

I’ve eaten here a few time’s now and I cannot really complain. The food is pretty decent, lots of different roll choice’s similar to sushi restaurants like Miyako’s. But the only gripe I had was that it took a while for us to recieve our specialty rolls we ordered, this would’ve been 4 stars if it wasn’t almost every time we’ve came where we almost finish most of our meal until we get the specialty rolls we ordered. But none the less the taste and quality were good. The udon is ok in my book, the broth is hit or miss and the portions of calamari and shrimp that come with it is a bit lacking(depending on which udon soup you order). Also very friendly staff :)

Came in for lunch w my work baby Mama she’s pregnant and always hungry lol. We did have to sit with another party together at the hibachi table. Ordered the beef and shrimp combination with fried rice. I enjoyed the cook his attempts at comedy was kinda funny as he cooked. He did something to create a large fire had to hold down my Hair extensions shiii… the food does need a little salt n pepper, the beef was well done and bland but the shrimp was tasty. the waitress was forgetful but no harm in reminding you again. Would definitely come back!

Finding consistently good sushi in Cypress is a challenge. We routinely visit another establishment for happy hour Sundays because of their consistency. Tonight we tried the Razorback roll, California roll and Hibachi chicken. Wait staff was good; our hibachi chef took good care of the group at the grill. He was especially attentive to our daughter, which was a big win for us. Keeping her engaged and ready to eat was worth the visit all by itself. The sushi was outstanding with good presentation of their signature rolls. Hibachi Chicken was also very tasty! Full family approval! We’ll be going back for sure, nothing negative to say. 4.5÷5 in my book.

Food is great and the show the staff put on is great as they cook the food. But the staff that change out frequently let the place down and the service is poor. If the owner could address this then I would add another star.

Drove by with my boyfriend in the morning on the 290 and the big banner that said«All you can eat sushi all day» caught my eye. So in the evening we decided to try the place out even though Unilocal only has 2 reviews but with a 4 ½ star rating. When you first walk in the décor and the lighting makes it look a little shady. Its a small cozy place and the staff are very friendly. I’m from Canada so I’m used to my usual all you can eat sushi place which includes the specialty rolls and various other dishes so the menu for the all you can eat was a little disappointing. That being said we decided to go for the hibachi and ordered a King Dragon Roll on the side. My boyfriend and I shared the filet and chicken hibachi. The chicken was a little over cooked but the taste was all there. The fried rice was delicious and the medium rare steak was PERFECT. Which means a lot when my boyfriend and I aren’t advent red meat eaters. The sushi was delicious and perfect. The chef we had actually used to work in Benihani and he is a very funny, talkative, sweet man. His performance during the cooking was very appealing and he did more than the other cooks.(Watched other hibachi performances while eating) Long story short, don’t judge a book by its cover. This place is delicious.

I really enjoy going to this restaurant. We live in Spring(The Woodlands basically) and have Benihana and HB restaurants close by. But we really enjoy how Sakura is not over packed and they don’t have you wait for an hour for your meal. We have ate at Sakura on Sunday for lunch and were shocked at how cheap it was considering we had a hibachi style lunch. Their lunch hour prices are great especially for a family of 5! We had dinner Here for my daughters birthday and we had a wonderful quiet dinner. The hibachi chefs are nice and funny. We will definitely keep coming back even though its not in our area :)

Do not go to this restaurant ! We had a good coupon that they put out themselves, and the owner did not want to accept it. Food was not fresh and they don’t give you much at all. Horrible experience !!

The happy hour is from 4:30 to 7. It is very casual and delicious. No surprises, laid back Hibachi in the ‘burbs. «Very nice», as Borat would say it. Also if you go on the website, there is a coupon that you can print off for 10% your entire bill. How cool is that?

Decent sushi at fair prices. Not as fancy on the inside as the nearby Shogun, but the selection is good, the dumpling appetizer outstanding, sushi decent and they have plenty of hibachi seating.
