I had the char grilled vermicelli bowl and it was delicious! I will return and would recommend.

This little spot is a great place that has served us consistently good phở for over a decade. Not just good Phở«for Cypress». It is good Phở for anywhere. The service is always friendly. The place is a little dark and needs some updating, but the Phở makes up for this.

Food is ok but service was awful. Very rude people. Screwed up order and didn’t bring half of it.

Called in for some Vietnamese sandwiches, got the pork and added a fried egg. They were good, but not great. Overall just average, but at a premium price. Each one had some pork that you couldn’t chew, had to spit it out. About what I’d expect from someplace in Chinatown that I would have paid about $ 4 for, except we are in the suburbs and they cost $ 8 each. Probably won’t be ordering Bahn mi from them again, not sure about anything else on the menu. Phở Bihn behind them in the same shopping center has a better sandwich.

My husband and I found this place by accident, wanted to eat phở but then we weren’t really hungry, we saw the name and decided to stop in. The place was quiet and looked clean. We ordered the Lunch Bento Box(Sesame chicken) a order of egg rolls and a beef Phở, everything was good, the only complain I have is the ginger dressing on my salad wasn’t like the other ones I have had. I was t too impressed with the dressing, the other food was good, my husband said the Phở had more flavor than other places we have been to. Overall if I had to come back I Will, it was pretty good food for a decent price.

The food was okay, but really turned my family off was while we were waiting for our food, the waiter was hacking and spitting up mucus really loud. We could hear everything and it makes you think where that is even going. It is unclean and disgusting.

Very, very disappointed. This is not a real Vietnamese restaurant. It probably passes since it is in Cypress. The menu was TOOMUCH. Identity crisis over here. Had Vietnamese, Chinese, sushi and Thai. Why? Please pick one, maybe two and master it. Actually, the sushi just needs to go! Flat noodles: if you have not noticed from my previous reviews, I am quite obsessed with flat noodles. It takes quite a lot for me to be disappointed with flat noodles, but this place did it for me! The sauce did not seem right at all. I felt like they only used oyster sauce. Nothing else.(1⁄5) Bun Bo Hue: no. Just no… I’m not a bun bo hue expert, but as a Vietnamese person, this was not right. They didn’t even have the correct hot sauce(chili garlic) to pair it with too. My boss, who has never tried it before, thought it was pretty good. Looks like I am going to have to bring him some real bbh to show him the difference. Would I come back? Ugh… If I was really craving Asian food that much at work. I guess. Maybe.

DH and I have frequented Vietnamese Bistro since soon after they opened. We have had good experiences overall, though at times phone orders can get messed up(language issues). As with all restaurants, some menu items are just good, while other items shine above others. They make wonderful Japanese spring rolls, and their orange beef tops Kim Son in my own opinion. All vermicelli bowls are delish and I have enjoyed a number of their sushi rolls and Chinese dishes as well that I enjoyed. Very friendly owners/staff. I do wish they would dust all of the clear plastic balls that hang from the ceiling as decoration as well as the vents. That is a turn off. Restrooms have always been very clean.

Everything tastes great here. Every time we come. Most consistent Vietnamese food around here. Fresh ingredients.

The food here was surprisingly good. The vermicelli bowls are very tasty with fresh ingredients. The service is a little lackluster but on par I guess based on reasonable prices.

Food is still good, but the place has gone down hill somewhat. It is unfortunate. Maybe it just needs some good TLC.

Clean floors & tables. Not thrilled with the cobwebs in the corners or the amount of dust in the vents. Food was ok. Spring rolls were ok. Phở was tasty. The Chew was on the whole time, which I hated. Get a radio or something already, I’m not at the salon! I’m afraid to use their restroom. I will not be back & will not recommend to anyone.

We tried this place for the first time tonight. My husband called in a to-go order and said the order taker was very helpful and communicated quite well. Upon arriving to pick it up, the restaurant was very clean and the couple working there were very friendly and welcomed him as a recognized new customer. My char-grilled chicken vermicelli bowl was quite good and unlike what one reviewer said, came with all of the toppings: lettuce, cucumber, sprouts, crispy onions, & peanuts. The egg rolls were really excellent, and hubby raved over his combination fried rice! Overall, a very good experience! We will definitely go again. Thanks!

The egg rolls here are better than a lot of Vietnamese restaurants. I’ve been here twice and honestly there’s nothing special about the food, it’s quite average. BUT it’s good for the area! The food is decent for the price and the best part is the large variety of dishes on the menu. I called in an order for pick-up, not knowing what my boyfriend and I wanted to eat, so I ordered pad thai, egg rolls, shrimp tempura, and a shaggy dog roll. The shrimp tempura wasn’t worth it but everything else was good.

Clean and friendly. Small place in a strip center. I usually skip places in strip centers but after reading reviews here I gave it a chance. Food is fresh and looks good. I ordered take out and the man taking the info was very helpful and made sure to repeat everything to make sure he had it right. Appreciated. I ordered Hand rolled Salmon roll, sorry this looked so amazing I devoured it before I took a picture! Japanese Spring rolls. I have never had Japanese Spring rolls but they sounded too good to pass up. Spicy salmon, crabstick, veggie, avocado, masago, jalapeño in rice paper w/plum sauceI The plum sauce was really nice too. Didn’t seem like a bottled generic sauce but had little pieces in it. It was one of the best plum sauces I have ever had. Lion roll was very nice. Wasn’t the prettiest I have ever seen but very tasty. Seemed a little skinny. Tuna, avocado, cucumber, topped with salmon, escolar and misago Prices seemed reasonable on some items but a little pricey on others. For everything I ordered it was $ 20. The place is tiny and only one person was there but it was just before 5. He said my order would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. I arrived 16 minutes after placing my order and they were just finishing it. Nice! All in all I will definitely return!

I tried this place on a whim one day when I was craving phở, and I’ve been hooked since my first visit. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food I’ve had has been delicious. Granted, I’ve only ordered phở and vermicelli, but both dishes were delicious. I prefer this place over Phở Binh during lunch time especially — they do a great lunch deal 7 days a week that includes and appetizer, iced tea, and an entrée. I usually pass on the tea but it’s a nice perk for someone I suppose! If you’re craving Vietnamese and want it to be affordable, this is definitely a good spot to try.

This place is a hidden gem here in cypress. Bored with all the chain restaurants we divided to give this place a whirl. Walk in and if they aren’t busy, they let you sit wherever you want. It’s not a fancy swanky place at all. However their food is. They just revamped their menu recently and that was my biggest«wish you would change this» thing. Now that this had been done I could ask for nothing more from this place. After you come a couple times the owner will remember what you drink. And if you are there enough he even remembers what your favorite dishes are. One day I forgot to order my sandwich and he brought it out anyway saying«I knew you wanted to order this». Great customer service, and super friendly. Their soup is freaking great. I have been to lost of phở places and for some reason this place is by far my favorite.

My guy is a simple, «no-frills» type of dude. Day in and day out, he humors my Unilocal addiction without complaints, following me all over Houston to check out the newest food hype that’s rockin’ the city. So one day when he offered to take ME to a new restaurant, I was all for it. Wasn’t happy that I had to drive all the way up north for it, but I figured that just made us even. Apparently, Vietnamese Bistro and neighbor Phở Binh are the only Vietnamese options in the area, but with Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese food selections in their menu, Vietnamese Bistro definitely has a lot more to offer. With their office only minutes away, my fiancé and his work buddies have dubbed this place as one of their regular lunch spots and they usually enjoy the meals they have here — good spring rolls, nice lunch specials. During my visit, we tried the Japanese Spring Rolls appetizer(spicy salmon, imitation crab, cucumber, avocado, & lettuce wrapped in rice paper), which weren’t bad. Satisfied my sushi craving w/o having to order sushi(because who trusts sushi coming from a non-Japanese restaurant?! Not this girl!). We also tried their Jalapeño Tempura — BEWARNED. They don’t take the seeds out of the jalapeño so these motherlovers are HELLA spicy, like hella-inedible-spicy. For entrees, we went with my fiancé’s favorite dish from this place: Coconut Curry Soup. Get it with dark-meat chicken or shrimp. Get it with rice or vermicelli. I don’t know, I don’t care. All that matters is this curry is the BOMBDOTCOM! Served in a big bowl, this curry is hot, soupy, and swimming with veggies like broccoli, carrots, ginger, and cilantro. You definitely get the sweetness and smoothness from the coconut, and then the spices(oh yesssss, it’s spicy!) kick you in the back of your throat. Definitely the perfect thing to eat on a cold, Houston-esque«snow» day. Service was great. Prices are great. For two apps and two entrees, our bill was at $ 25. Ambiance? Not so great. Very hole-in-the-wall. Very«attempting-to-be-modern.» A little dinky. Again, it just proves that my guy like his food without the frills.

I was surprisingly pleased with the Vietnamese Bistro. It was kind of awkward at first though considering it was just my group and one other family there, so it was pretty quiet. The lunch specials are great deals– you get an appetizer and an entrée for under ten bucks. Portion sizes of the food are pretty big and the flavors are good. The meal came out quickly as well, although our waiter never really came to check up on us as we were eating.
