Don’t order the nachos! Not what expected looked terrible and not enough. No pico de gallo very little meat and beans. Love ranchos nachos. Waiter was good.

Not the best Casa Jimenez I’ve tried, service here is 4 out 5 stars, my rating based on value, price, taste, and selection. All you can eat gives a value of 5 out of 5 stars, price wise 5 out of 5 stars, taste wise 2 out of 5 stars, 5 out of 5 stars for selection. Compared to all the Casa Jimenez restaurants out there, this one dead last. The rice and beans didn’t taste that well, like another Unilocaler was saying, it taste homecook, nothing special. Also, I tried the Chile relleno and hard shell beef tacos and they put a red sauce rather than the green sauce is used in other locations. Also, food is not as fresh and the meat inside was cold. Another bad thing is they put red hot sauce in the tacos without asking. Nonetheless, awesome food and great service, would not return to this location, but definitely would return to the other locations nearby which are night and day difference in taste. You get what you pay for at this location.

We have been looking for a good shrimp cocktail in the area and have tired a few Mexican restaurant, this by far has it with 2 thumps up! The best so far we have found. I had the mixed cocktail with shrimp, crab and octopus with the accompanying oysters on the side and the delicious michelada! Highly recommended.

Went for margaritas and they came out very sour. The friendly waitress took them back and later fixed the problem. The shrimp cocktail is delicious but the shrimp tostada was tasteless. Worth returning for the shrimp cocktails and friendly service.

Food is okay. This is not a place I would recommend. I had some very tasty & fulfilling chilaquiles @ the Baldwin Park location and was expecting the same here. … it didn’t happen. The waitresses were friendly yet too slow… Our waitress didn’t check on us until after we had to get up and asked for salsa. If I could I would give them a 2.5 stars.

Just moved from Sylmar California to Covina. Since my family and i needed to unpack our stuff we needed to refuel on food we came across Casa Jimenez. The food here was amazing. Nothing can compare to the food or service they present you with. We are now regulars at this fine dining spot. They know us by our names. So if your in thr neighborhood or need a great place to eat Casa Jimenez is the spot you need to be. Eric R. Covina

We just ate here for the first time. My daughter ordered a hamburger and ff from the children’s menu and got it after my husband and I were already done. My son ordered nachos plain with cheese only and it came out with beans all over. Terrible food and customer service. The manager lady came to our table not even able to speak English and pink eye. Do not recommend this place.

Reasonable prices. Chilaquiles are good. Cocido and albondigas are tasty, too. New TV screens are nice addition in background to keep an eye on games when waiting for food on Sundays. Service has always been good and there is plenty of parking.

Giving it a 3 because the food was really yummy beef chimichanga and campechana. BUT idk if its because its Sunday even tho not fully packed it took then almost 40 min to bring us our food and forgot one item took another 15 to bring that. Did not even asked us once if we needed anything. Its not because they are rude ita just because they are understaffed. The two waitresses are amazing tho walk around with a smile at all times even tho u can tell they are struggling to get it all done.

My fiancée and I came here for soup for the first time and the last time. When we walked in the placed it smelled of mold and wet rags and there was only 2 people in the casa. The place looked run down and all the furnitures was worn out. We was like we’ll give a shot. so I order the seafood soup and my girl order the pozole to go. We waited and waited for 40 min we was like this better be good. We finally get our food to go and order some chips and salsa as well. We get home started opening up our food and there was a really Fishy smell coming from my seafood soup I took one sip i swear I was drink some sea water and my girls pozole was awful as well and the chips was stale. Huge disappointment. So we starved for the night.

The food was super salty– everything was– rice, beans, albondigas soup. I ordered a beef taco, chicken enchilada, and carnitas tacos with my AYCE meal. My carnitas taco came out with a thin layer of the fat from the carnitas and all the grease from the fat was just chillen on top of the tortilla. Not one piece of «meat» on that taco! So I move on to the chicken enchilada– and guess what? No chicken in my «chicken» enchilada– just cheese. I suppose this is what happens when you order all you can eat– they scimp on everything you order. On to the tamarindo– filled to the rim with ice and watered down. Service was a little slow because we came in at a busy time so I won’t knock the servers for that. But I’ve never experienced this at any other Casa Jimenez’s before. Maybe this one has a different owner from the rest.

When I am craving a lot of Mexican food, then I come here for their $ 10AYCE menu. There’s 20 different items you can choose from and you can keep ordering as many as you want. You can order up to 3 items each time you order and it comes with rice and beans the first time. The second time you order it is just the items you ordered. I always start off with some chips and salsa then I get a beef tostada, beef taco, and chile colorado. After one plate, I am normally pretty stuffed. My friend likes getting their carnitas, tamales, and taquitos. Overall the food is pretty tasty and I’m glad that it’s AYCE and they make everything fresh to order.
