I tried the tacos and an asada taco is pretty much a good tester to start off before you try alpastor, lengua etc. Im not sure but the meat was greasy and bland? Maybe it was not a good day for the cook??? I am told the place is great. I would have to revisit, but I did not like the food. I guess I will… just to be fair to all those who swear thst it is the spot. My husband tried another dish he was like 50⁄50. So until next time hope its better.

Love this place. The portions are huge and the food is good. I wish they would bring back the small nachos, but the burrito I got today is excellent! Their carnitas and al pastor are my favorite. Delicious food as usual.

Holy Cheese!!! Haha I Love cheese so that’s a good thing. I stop here with the guys from the office every now and then and it never does is wrong. The first time I went I didn’t know the tacos were so big. Only get 2 – 3 Max, and you will be full!

I’ve been to this location about 5 times and I always get the carne asada tacos with everything on it($ 2.20 each). Their tacos come with a ton of ingredients, which makes their prices very competitive for the value that you are getting. The burritos are good as well, but they are too much food for me. Horchata is yummy too. The parking lot is a little crammed and small, but you will always find extra spots along the sides of other buildings or even on the streets. It gets a little busy during noon. I would recommend that you come here if you want tasty food with friendly service.

Five stars for the service and how fast I got my food. One star for the food. Maybe I’m just a snob but this place is way too hyped up and wanna tell all the people in line that there’s way better options within a five mile radius.

I recommend the burritos. This place knows how to make a delicious, filling, carne asada burrito. They are big enough to kill a baby elephant if the burrito fell on its head from about three feet up, and the best part about it, is that the burrito doesn’t have any rice in it! Why is this important? Because ANY burrito that looks big, but contains rice, is not really big or worth it. Rice is a cheap filler to make burritos look bigger and charge people more. Boca burritos, however, do not have that nonsense, they are filled with pure awesomeness!

After Work On Tuesday Night We Decided To Go To BOLCADELRIO On Arrow Hwy., We Ordered 2 Carnitas Burritos With Guacamole, Sour Cream, Onions, Red & Green Sauce With Cheese(Cabbage If You), 2 Carne Asada &2 Pastor Tacos With Everything, OMG So Gooood. The Burritos Were Packed With So Much Meat And The Generous Scoops Of Guacamole & Sour Cream and That Cheese. Seriously This Place Is A Taco Stand That Serves Really Good Food And The Kitchen Is Really Clean. They Have Tables To Sit Or Eat In Your Car Or Take It Home, What Ever You Want… The Food Is Great A NEW Item … They Serve Nachos With What Kind Of Meat You Want With What Ever Toppings They Have. Make It The Way You Want It… Delicious!!!

Not my favorite taco spot. Tried it for the fist time today and was disappointed. The tacos are just basic and the burrito was flavorless. I will keep searching for a new taco spot.

The people who work there are always so nice and quick. Their food is awesome every time! Every person I take here manages to get hooked on their tacos. Haha. They tend to pack the tacos with meat which is great because it gets you full pretty quick.

Place is nice, people seem alright. The salsas are ok and the tacos are good but nothing special. A little over priced in my opinion for tacos but then again I don’t like cheese on mine so your paying for the extras on top. Good if your looking for your taco fix and your in the area. Tip. Red chili is hot for sure so beware if you don’t like spicy and Green is nice n mild but could use some more flavor. the place is more area friendly then authentic Mexican honestly. But over all good place nice people check it out if your in the area but not worth a far drive if you don’t live near by.

The food is really good. These guys actually know how to cook one of my favorite meats, cow tongue. Mmmm. I was hesitant about trying out their meat since allot of places don’t even know how to cook it right but I said what the heck, let me get a burrito de lengua. To my surprise it was delicious. And PACKED with meat and the rest of the toppings. These guys don’t skimp you out on the goods. Reason I give it three stars is because the service really needs a facelift, like literally. They act like they’re doing you a favor. I hate when businesses act that way. Food was good though and at a very good price. Screw chipotle.

Have been eating here and at the other location for almost ten years now. And although I love the food I keep having problems with the workers closing earlier then they’re supposed to which frankly just wastes my time. I showed up at 9:35 pm and they said they were closing and it was too late to order and when I said they weren’t supposed to close till 10 they laughed and pretended not to understand me. Little did they know I speak Spanish. Sad to say I don’t think I will be returning anymore. The services a joke now. Just not the same.

Small little taco joint with tons of flavor from the first bite to the last. It has been awhile since I’ve been to Boca Del Rio to eat. They don’t have taco Tuesday’s here, however you get what you pay for. They don’t skip out on the ingredients. Double layer corn tortilla filled with al pastor meat, onions, cabbage, sour cream, guacamole & tons of cheese. The soft taco is so big, you can actually make two! Their store in La Puente, there is always a line everytime when I’m down there. Must try if you are ever in the area.

Best burrito in the area. They don’t have a lot on the menu, but that’s all you need if you’re going to do it better than anyone else. What truly separates Boca Del Rio from the other taco joints is the salsa. I love the stuff, I can put it in a baby bottle and drink it straight. They don’t skimp on the cheese either. The pricing is fair and the serving size is large. Lots of value for money here. I definitely recommend the place.

I don’t even know how to explain La Puente, Hacienda Blvd, Mexican Food and how this experience will be for someone here in Covina but you’ll be glad you had it. If your looking for a one of a kind Mexican food you have found it. The tacos are huge. They will be covered in toppings and they will be hard to hold and eat just as they should be. Eat them fast. The burritos are as greasy as it comes, huge and full of anything you choose. The quesadillas are good too! Anything you get you can be sure it will be greasy and huge. Enjoy.

A different kind of Taco/Burrito place. They serve with loads of cheese, and choice of sour cream or guacamole, or both. Very filling, taste is hard to discover at times due to the over abundance of cheese, but if your hungry and like the cheese/meat combo, you will probably enjoy this place.

I went to this place for the first time last night with my brother and ordered too fat carnitas burritos with sour cream, camole, a lot of cheese and onions. Let me tell you this I’ve been going to their other spot over there in La Puente that we’ve been going to for years, & I didn’t even know they had this spot right here on Arrow and Citrus for maybe about 10 years. I’m telling you the food is so good that he had a hard time wrapping up my burritos because I ordered two of them and two tacos, and my brother ordered too fat burritos and 4 of their tacos and I’m telling you man that’s Mexican food! Don’t take my word for it, try it out for yourself and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

If you want to go to a little hole in the wall joint and get some of the best burritos in town check this place out! I ordered two fat burritos and two fat tacos and my brother got the same order as I did and I couldn’t even finish off all the food. Take a guess what tonight’s dinner is? LOL

A hole in the wall chain that caters fat burritos. Honestly, this place is good when your drunk. Huge quantities and depending on the meat, it can be very oily. Yet its the only place I know with freshly grated cheese. Although the cheese is thick and flavorless. I used to come to this establishment a couple years ago, yet never to this location. It’s pretty good though. We got two all meat burritos and two tacos. Came out to be just under $ 20. We got the cabeza and the carne asada all meat burrito along with two tacos, one carnitas and one pastor with both red and green sauce on everything. The cabeza was expected to be oily but about half the burrito is just soaking in oil. I hope next time they use a spatula with holes to filter out off the oil and grease. It was still good, just that we didn’t feel good afterwards. The carne asada was much better. I only got through half since it was a fat burrito. Don’t forget these burritos are only used with one flour tortilla and it can stand on its own. The tacos were alright. I liked the pastor more, the carnitas was plain. I have read the other comments and yes the tacos are a bit soggy, but just eat them right away and they’re still good. Overall late night food for sure. But doesn’t make sense for this location to close at 10pm. They should really be open to those people coming out if bars for late night food since the other location closes at 3am and is always busy after midnight.

The Carne Asada quesadillas are to die for! They are not stingy with the meat whatsoever which was a happy surprise! We also had the Al Pastor tacos which were good but not the style I prefer. However I would like to point out that the Al Pastor was juicy and tender and was clean of any cartilage and the like. We also ordered an Al Pastor burrito but as I said the serving of meat was so bountiful that we took it home for later. While my husband and I both agreed that we were initially neutral with the Al Pastor, the next day it tasted amazing! The Horchata is also tasty and not grainy, nor watery. The prices are incredibly good for the amount of meat that is served. 1 Carne Asada quesadilla and 3 Al Pastor tacos were enough for 2 people. This restaurant is a bit out of the way for us but if we are ever in the area we will surely drop by!
