Avolio’s Italian Restaurant

One of my Top 3 favorite Pizza places. Love their pizza, Mr Avolio is a great guy. Only reason I gave a 4 and not 5 is because everytime I have a Pick up, it is never ready in the amount of time they tell me, always add 10 minutes so it’s ready when you get there.

This restaurant has gone to the shit hole. Food quality is mediocre to horrible at an expensive price. Almost a $ 30 pizza and it came out lukewarm and taste no better than Caesar $ 5 Pizza. Order an over priced combo appetizers which included hot wings. Hot wings was heated from a frozen prepackaged fully cooked no name brand company (Big C). They used the box for my take out. It wasn’t even Tyson Chicken. To make matter worst, a roach walked in the floor in front of me. I called the girl behind the counter and she killed it with a napkin. I would give this place a negative star if I could, but unfortunately Unilocal need a least one star. Never again at this sh.

I so wanted to like the place, been here for the 3^rd time. For starters everything was going well, they have corking fee for under $ 10 (totally awesome) then our server forgot about us & never took our order :(my husband went to front of restaurant to ask for service. Ordered a family special which comes w/​large antipasto salad (salad came w/​No onions nor pepperoncinis) was charged $.75 for extra toppings (No biggie but silly)

voucher was told we had to wait to redeem cuz the Boss went out on a delivery?!
Few minutes later server comes back & says we CANT use voucher cuz we ordered family special after my husband called restaurant prior to coming in & asked if there were any restrictions! Mgr. specifically said No restrictions has to be Dine-​in only (Not our servers faults) Of course now we need to speak to mgr. took a while for some other employee (not sure if he was a mgr) came over & made adjustments to our check. We would have been content & left but… There was still an error on check & was overcharged. Ughhh!!!

My wife and my two boy’s came here had the pizza with meat ball’s pepperoni shrimp yhe canoli my wife had lasagna pur server vaness eas great very attentive hreat place our new spot oh did i mentioned the ice cold perroni?

Presentation was ok. However the meat and Alfredo sauce was extremely salty. I ordered the lasagna the wife ordered the formaggio ravioli. Will not come back do not know how this place was rated so high

This place has some really good italian food. Last time my friend and I ordered take out we had a horrible experience. The order was wrong and dishes were missing. The girl who helped us pretty much called us liars and wouldn’t accept she made a mistake. She was rude and kept changing her story to save herself. Have not been back since and do not plan on going back until they can get some better costumer service.

Sorry, but no. I found this place based on reviews and location because my first Italian option was closed that afternoon. I always see the positive side of things, so maybe the pizza and pastas here are great, but I don’t know because I have not tried them. I can only talk about the bruschetta: dry, no flavor, cheese does not taste fresh, and the caprese salad: NO balsamic reduction, same non-​fresh cheese, very scant basil. Beer: not so cold, and neither was the glass.

One of the best Italian places I have tried! Plus they deliver!!! If you love cheese then you definitely have to try the baked mostaccioli, it’s loaded with it. The Margarita Pizza is incredible. I haven’t tried a dish here yet that I wasn’t completely satisfied with. The staff is helpful and friendly… And did I mention they deliver? Hands down some of the best service I have ever experienced.

We tried this place out on a whim because we didn’t want to drive far. (Thanks Unilocal) The service was very good! The food is delicious! I love that they bring garlic bread basket with your food.
Overall it’s a really good place! We plan on coming back :)

Entire experience was memorable. My baby niece loved the spaghetti and marinara, says she wants to come back. She approves.

The server was terrific — without us needing to ask, she brought extra napkins, refilled our waters more than once, gave us extra garlic bread, and was generally very helpful and accommodating with our (probably annoying) questions about different sauces and cheeses.
My boyfriend (6′ 6″ with an appetite to match) and I ordered a large Chicken Pesto Pizza, and Lasagna with Pink Sauce. Everything was delicious. My boyfriend said the pizza was decadent and was surprised he couldn’t eat more than two slices and a quarter of the lasagna. I was happily full with one slice of pizza and a quarter of the lasagna, and we are quite pleased to take home the rest.

This place was recommended but one of my trusted food critics. I will admit I was pretty blown away.
The food was awesome! I ordered a chicken penne pasta that was absolutely delish! It came with some garlic bread which was pretty good too.
We ordered two pizzas that were so big I could only manage two slices! (I usually eat 3 – 4 easily)
Pizza was so so good.
Con: took about 30 + min to get our food. Call me impatient, but it was worth the wait!
The service was good too!
I highly recommend this place for all pasta and pizza lovers.

Bruschetta out of this world! Had meat lasagna — huge portion; lots of cheese. Went on Sunday, so didn’t get to partake on dinner special. Great service; cozy dark ambiance. Next time, will try pizza or carbonara. They deliver, too.

My daughter took me to this restaurant for the first tome months ago and I kept wanting to return for more. I am in love of their Bruschetta and can finish the entire order on my own. Their pasta especially those in white sauce are sinfully tasty. I drove 30 minutes to get to this restaurant and would do it again and again. The service was great. The waitresses were attentive and cordial. They have ample parking and are pretty easy to find.

My favorite Italian restaurant. The food is hearty, savory and incredibly delicious. Always a great experience.

It’s been a while since I Have had a sandwich from here. We have lived in this area since «96» and have had Avolios many times through out the years from dining in to take out, to even a quick delivery. Well not so quick but let me tell you why it doesn’t come in 20 min or 30 min and it comes in 45 min, because it’s all made fresh to order…
I don’t know who’s idea it was to switch the bread for their subs, but give that person a raise. Not only was it fresh but it was toasted perfectly and it was soft and tasty on the inside. They put the right amount of Chicken Parm, Sauce and Cheese to give you that comfort feeling. I’m a big guy and know when places over due it, and when they do, it’s usually to the extreme and it takes away from the tastes. Not in this case, I couldn’t finish the other half of the sandwich and I thought I should have got a regular but I am a guy who likes a next day Sandwich and it was perfect that following day. It’s a for sure recommendation to try

I came here last weekend. I waited 45 mins for a small size pizza and pasta. When it came out, I took a bite and found a strand of hair. The waitress took it and came back with an option of either making another pizza for us or canceling our order. She didn’t even say sorry until we said we wanted to leave. after she apologized, as she was turning away, she made a very disrespectful and annoyed face. This was the WORST
service that I’ve ever had in my life!

Ok so it’s Saturday I’m getting off of a rare hard days work on a Saturday. That said I’m starving like a dog I’ve Ben trying to stay away from pizza, but when someone mentions a great pizza place I’ve never tried before, let’s just say I become a weak weak man. Ok so my boy tells me I gotta try Aviolis I think that’s what it’s called, anyway him and my girl swear up and down this place is the truth.
So today is the day I arrive and the place smells like heaven. That garlicky smell you can only get from a great Italian restaurant. I walk through and spy on they other customers dishes as I always do at a restaurant I’ve never been to. What I see looks amazing pizza cooked just as I like it many ordering lasagna with that beautiful bubbly cheesy crust that sticks to the dish perfectly browned you know what I’m talking about people.
So I order a medium pizza to share with my boy fresh garlic salami, pepperoni, sausage, well done please! The waitress asks if I would prefer thin or thick crust? I’m a thin crust man, but there is one pizza joint I will make an exception to when it comes to thick crust and that is Petrillos my friends. That said I go against my better judgement and tell them I will go with the regular crust. Ok they bring me my pizza after about 20 minutes or so piping hot with that beautiful perfectly browned cheese like it just came out of the broiler look. I grab a piece and take a bite and its way too hot to even critique it. I set it down and try my boys lasagna it’s great just the way I like it saucy and cheesy what else do you want in a lasagna?
Ok time for my pizza tasting again, I love the fact that they put garlic shavings opposed to chopped garlic awesome, but being a pizza enthusiast you must always judge by the consistency and overall texture of the crust and of course the quality of the toppings. So sadly I gotta say this pizzas good enough if you live in the area but not good enough to travel more than 10 miles for… I’ll say this when I go to any quality pizza joint or Italian restaurant for that matter I always check the quality of the Parmesan they set at the table and this was great quality. So my expectations were through the roof. Now as far as the pizza goes the cheese to sauce ratio is great and the fact that they put the cheese over all the toppings I love that, but the quality of the sausage was just weak. The salmi was ok crust was just ok I guess the mozzarella was definitely on point. I’m not saying I would not come back, but if I did I would definitely try the thin crust. Until then for the good customer service and good but not great pizza I’ll give this place a reluctant 3 ½ stars

After reviewing all of the pictures my family had high expectations.
We ordered mozzarella sticks, Cesar salad and a large pizza with ham and pepperoni.
First — the mozzarella sticks weren’t melted inside. They were hot. The cheese just wasn’t melted. Kinda soft.
Second — the Cesar salad dressing was really watery. Almost like they didn’t dry the lettuce before putting it in the bowl. Freshly graded parmigiano cheese was a plus… but it still was just ok.
Now the pizza arrived and it looked good. Tasted Greaat.
I think it might be worth one more try.
