A true hidden gem! Reminds me of when in used to skip school and go over my best friend’s house where his Mexican mom used to leave great food for us. Let me start by saying the chips and salsa that she brought out surprised me as I didn’t expect the salsa to be solo good. Chipotle smoked flavor with lemon zest! The beans are perfectly creamy and flavored. I had the asada taco combo and added one al pastor just because she said it was popular. I was not disappointed. Al pastor is one of the best I’ve had. Not bad for gas station food!

Came back for some friday nacho special they have going on and a few tacos. Carnitas nacho weren’t as delicious as I thought. When you put old guacamole all over it just killed it for me. When the guca starts to taste like banana and is borderline dark green it’s just depressing and a waste of my coin. Lucky or maybe not so lucky for me I ordered something else which were two al pastor tacos. Flavorless. No seasoning very basic tinted light pork tacos. I still like the wet burrito I got last time but I doubt I’ll be back anytime soon.

The rice was 1⁄5. Beans 2⁄5. Tacos were dry 2⁄5. All meat burrito was small for the price and the asada barely had any flavor 2⁄5. Asked for no onions on my chile relleno and of course there were onions when I got home 1⁄5. Green salsa was spicy and good 4⁄5. Will probably give them another try if I ever have to stop for gas.

I came in here becuase it was on my way home from the hospital and was super hungry. I figured that I would try it since its right across the street from my job. I will NEVEREVERAGAIN. I ordered a al pastor burrito and took it home. Not even 2 bites in and I’m chewing on a piece of green glass. I threw it away. A couple days later when I stopped to put gas in my car I happen to mention it to whoever was working there at the time. I believed they said I was making it up. I didn’t come that same day as I had more inportant things to do like be with my dying father. I got offered another burrito… no thanks. I’ll pass.

Food is great. I had a carne asada torta and i have to say it was delicious! If you are ever around here in Baldwin Park and want tacos or tortas this is your place. Keep in mind it is in a chevron gas station so it would be easy to miss.

I ate this so fast. I am seriously surprised by this place. the meat is quality, fresh, not chewy, full of flavor. the red and green salsa so flavorful. Ive heard great things about this place from my coworkers. The strange thing is this little restaurant is inside the gas station. To the left is the gas attendant to the right is the restaurant cashier. I had the torta. Every little piece of meat quality. The bread fresh and soft. I noticed they sell meat by the pound. I’m considering picking up a pound or two and taking it home for dinner to feed my family.

Great food at great prices. Next time I’m in the area and I want a taco or torta, this is where I’ll go. Edit for more detail: Location: The location threw me for a loop at first – almost parked in front of the Italian restaurant next door. This restaurant is in the gas station, and the food is cooked on grills outside. Interactions: Friendly and energetic. Food: We ordered two burritos(carne asada and carnitas). Their salsa is authentically spicy. Get the green salsa for a little kick and red salsa for a big kick. A bag of tortilla chips and side of salsa were included with our order.

The Menu is very simple, which makes choosing your items a whole lot easier. I have only been there three times and two times I had the Carnitas Burrito, the carnitas were cooked perfect, not dry and seasoned well. The first time visit I tried the Tripas taco also with my burrito and let me tell you it’s a must try, very crunchy and inside you get that cheesy like texture that I know we all love. Look for a small taco stand inside a Gas Station you get the at home like feeling and I like feeling at home. Only one problem I had and that was the last time i ate from there was this last Saturday. I decided to try the menudo. Now I’m real picky when it comes to Menudo and it for sure held up there in the top 10 of my choices to go. Only problem is they put the chili flakes inside the oregano and if you don’t catch it and your not used to very spicy watch out your experience will be ruined. Good thing I like spicy and lemony because I had to put two lemons in it to calm it down. This little mishaps won’t stop me from going there in the future… This place is a must try…

Tacos el Pisa is literally one of the best Mexican Food stops I’ve made. Their meat is cut really good and no fat at all, also really nice customer service.

Tacos were delish. Was not a big fan of the al pastor, had a sweet taste. Never had that in Al Pastor. The surtido taco was bomb. Had a sample taste of the ceviche and it was really good. Really friendly cashier.

I hate to leave this review.. . I will try again and then will update my review. I went in because they have a promotion for a free taco with $ 50 of gas. They said they opened at 9. So I was there waiting to get my free taco and see what else they had.. . 9: oo… nobody. Lights aren’t on, fryer/grill is not heating up/nobody in sight…9:15… Still nobody. Sucks! No free taco for me. Oh well. I haven’t seen any recent reviews, last was 3 months ago. Not much activity, it is inside of the gas station that just had a grand re-opening… I think the owners may had changed. Hopefully next time they will be open and I can try their food, but I know not to go at 9am… :-(
