The wife and I ate there tonight and enjoyed our food. I had the shrimp and oyster plate and the wife had the crab cake plate. The shrimp were large butterfly shrimp and I got 4 on the plate with three nice size oysters, fries, 2 hush puppies and cold slaw. The wife got three nice size crab cakes which were all meat with very little filling, string beans and rice piloff.

Very tasty fresh fish. The local fresh mahi and snapper were terrific, moist and perfectly cooked, great sauces. We tried blackened and pan sauteed styles, both good. Fresh vegs on the side were bright and crisp and well seasoned. The fried combo plate was good, but not great. The crab cake and slaw were subpar. Stick to the fresh fish and you can’t go wrong, ask for today’s fresh catch. The house made potato chips, served instead of a bread basket, are like crack. Hard to not fill up on them. Bread pudding was hot and cinnamony and raising. Mmmmmm. One is enough for 4 to share. Service was efficient and friendly. Recommended.

This place was amazing!!! Everything we ordered was full of flavor. Each items had a distinct flavor, not like other places that tend to make their fried items taste the same. We started out with the complementary chips, which are delicious. We had the fried calamary, it was very fresh and came with 2 sauces. One resembled Jack Daniels sauce, but better. As entrees, we had the coconut shrimp, mahi mahi tacos and a side of rice pilaf. Everything was outstanding, and the prices and portions were excellent. If I had to pick, I would say that the mahi mahi tacos and rice were my favorite. This place is a must when in Corpus.
We had Lori as a server, and she was the best. She kept our drinks full without intruding or interruptions; a perfect balance of space and attentiveness. Our order came out fast and everything was perfect.
I would highly recommend this place, it is not pretentious and the food is perfection.

Great food and service!
This is the second time my family and I have visited Corpus. Each time we have tried the salt water grill and have come away very happy with the food we ate. Each time I have had the specials which showed creativity from the chief and good veggies for sides. The kids meals are good sized and reasonably priced.
I would definitely recommend visiting and enjoying the food while supporting local business.

We ordered a Mahi Mahi fish platter and fried oysters. The Mahi Mahi was seasoned and cooked very well. The sides, string beans and rice, were okay but not great. The fried oysters didn’t come in a big amount, the taste was okay.
