This place is a very good, locally owned restaurant. Good service and good food. The salsa that they use is my favorite part and if you like spicy, their peppers are hot! I don’t think I would be a regular here, but I will definitely be coming back every once in a while.

We chose the Huevos Locos Omelet and the eggs look amazing. The edge of the omelet makes a perfect curve to match the plate. Tortillas strips are perfectly perched. Potatoes and peppers look crispy and browned, and the toast is upright between the potatoes and fruit. You bite into this dish and you are hit with how fluffy and buttery those eggs are! CLEARLY cooked in butter and amazing in your mouth. The Serrano is cooked right into the egg and it is topped with a delicious salsa that is made in-house. Great depth of flavors with the beans and chorizo, too! One thing we really loved about this omelet is that wasn’t overpowered with cheese. We opted for the Monterey Jack cheese and they added just the right amount — the flavor and texture conveyed, but you still had all the textures and flavors of the omelet and its ingredients without any of it being greasy. SO good!!! We also had the Hawaiian French Toast and it was sweet, crunchy, and delicious. We’re not really into sweets, but we couldn’t stop devouring that French toast. We did not use syrup, as the dish was very sweet. Excellent with a hot cup of coffee! And paired well with bacon, as the salt helped cut the sweetness between bites. We’ve never had French toast prepared this way anywhere else… it was crunchy on the outside, buttery, sweet, and soft on the inside. Incredible breakfast! Good food but a little pricey. First time visitor and was a little weird ordering at the door and self service after that. Will I recommend? Maybe Will I return? No

It was so meaty and juicy with great flavor with crispy fries on the side(: We also tried the Hawaiian French toast I must say it was the best French toast I’ve ever had highly recommend it.

Wow. Sold on the Huertos Locos omelette I think it was called, Serrano peppers, spicy hot delicious. Will be here at least once, each trip to corpus. Kind of a serve yourself so no complaints of poor service or moody help. Order at counter, get your own bevs and they bring food to your table, thumbs up!

The menu selection is generous, with plenty of tempting options. I had a build my own omelette, biscuits and gravy with ice tea. I’m known in our family and circle of friends for cooking great omelettes. I told my wife this omelette is the first I’ve had that is the quality of the home cooked. She had to have a bite once I said that. She ordered the traditional breakfast. All the ingredients were fresh. All employees were very friendly. Having been our first time, we took special note of the orders as they arrived at the other tables. One table ordered the burgers, which looked perfectly cooked. I didn’t see anything that wasn’t done with care. You can certainly tell the people take pride in serving a top quality product. We will make this a regular stop on our vacations to the area.

From the reviews I was excited to try this place out. We came on a Sunday and had no wait which was nice and the staff at the front desk where you order were friendly. Unfortunately the eggs I ordered were supposed to be over easy and came out as sunny side up. My bread wasn’t wheat as ordered but white. The fruit was obviously pre cut and refrigerated because the strawberries were mushy and everything tastes like oranges. Too bad because I really wanted to find a neat little breakfast place.

Yummy food. Prepare for a wait. Interesting way to run things. Give em your name, wait, get called: order, sit down. It works though. Staff is super nice. Drinks are bottled, tea and water on tap. The tea was very watered down and the sweet was less sweet than my normal half cut, I added sugar to the straight sweet to achieve a colored sugar water effect. Anyway. The Hawaiian French toast was interesting, crunchy, tasty, quite filling considering it’s just two slices and some sausage. The omelets were large enough. Fruit on the side was nice. It’s small, packed, and that floor is ridiculously sticky. So, think hole in the wall with yummy comfort food. Every employee seemed to know a few of the customers. All in all, I’d go again

Atomic Omelette has some of the best breakfast food in Corpus Christi. The restaurant seating area is rather small, so if you plan to go on the weekend you can expect a wait of 30 – 40 minutes for a table. A better option is to order ahead of time and get your food to go. Make sure to check out the specials, there’s always something interesting and new on the menu.

HAWAIIANFRENCHTOAST! I don’t know why it took me so long to get here… the food is amazing, coffee is hot and the service is good. I ordered the Hawaiian French Toast and it was remarkable. Warm slices of Hawaiian bread, dipped in egg, coated in corn flakes and pan fried. Best breakfast I have had in a long time! My mother ordered the Veggie Omelette and it looked wonderful. Her potatoes were soooo good. Crispy and flavorful. The only negative would be that it felt a little dark in there. We will be returning soon!

The Hawaiian French Toast is something of fairytales!!! The corn flake crunch on the French toast makes the dish complete! This is a perfect breakfast stop! My husband had the atomic omelette and his words were that«Spicy Breakfast Heaven»!! We will visit this gem again on our next trip to the island!!!

Looking for a popular spot for breakfast? Go here, put your name on a list, and wait for approximately 30 mins. You will be so excited when they call your name! Once you get inside, you’ll have about 60 seconds to decide what you want and then you place your order. Don’t be a rookie like me, when you place your name, grab a menu and study it so you don’t hold up the process. Once you order, you’ll get a number so they can find you when your order is ready. Find a table and sit and relax. I thought the whole process was quite smart. You have a «gatekeeper» that monitors the restaurant and kitchen staff. Although there may be seating available in the restaurant, they don’t fill them until the kitchen has the capacity to make your order. Great way to keep people happy. Let them wait, but once they’re in, fed ‘em right away. Good breakfast food. Nothing spectacular or unique, but hearty and good.

It is hard to find a fine place to eat breakfast in Corpus. To just eat fine actually. Here the service is really nice(quite busy on weekends), everybody is smiling and happy to help. They know how to cook right(for instance eggs poached) and the HAWAIIANFRENCHTOAST is the best«pain perdu» I have ever tried.

Came here for the first time today. We’ve passed by this place at least a hundred times, but never around breakfast. So, why not? I’ve heard/read good things about it. Some friends of ours eat here quite often and rave. That’s good enough for me. I was expecting table-side wait service when we walked in, but apparently you order at the counter, THEN go sit down. I’ve never been a fan of that style but, whatever. It’s a Saturday. We’ll roll with it. I ordered the«Huevos Locos» omelet; a special item on the chalk board. It has Serrano peppers, onions, chorizo, refried beans and cheese. I told them to hold the beans(just can’t see that in an omelet). My bride ordered a «Build-Your-Own» omelet with bacon, mushrooms and cheese. Both orders came relatively quickly. The omelets were each hot, fluffy and loaded with flavor. Mine was a bit spicy with those serranos. I loved it. The chorizo in the omelet had great flavor and spice. The addition of fried tortilla«crisps» on top was a nice touch. My bride said her omelet was equally tasty. The negative, and it’s a big one, were the potatoes. If you’re going to go through all the trouble of artsy eggs and such, don’t serve cold, lifeless, bland potatoes! Visually, they were appealing; browned, crispy wedges that look like they’d be wonderful. But, we wound up leaving most of them on the plates because they were lacking on so many levels. Prices are a little on the high side for a breakfast joint. Considering, it’s eggs with a bunch of veggie and protein options to make good omelets. But, the service style and the weak sides don’t merit the price or additional stars. We’ll definitely come back — I want to try other artsy egg options and give those potatoes another shot.

If you love a warm, fluffy 3-egg omelette made with whole ingredients and fresh fruit for breakfast with hastle-free counter service with a smile, Atomic Omelette is the bomb in CC! There are only a couple«designer» omelets on the menu, but with over 20 individual fresh proteins, cheeses and veggies from which to choose, your options are countless – be your own designer and AOaG will make it to order! My last visit, I enjoyed the avocado, bacon, mushroom and tomato omelette(with Monterey Jack cheese) well! The eggs were very light and fluffy with perfect temp and texture– toppings were just the right amount to balance flavors of salty, creamy, savory, juicy and earthy! I’m not one for sweets early in the morning, but my dining companion sang the praises of the Hawaiian Bread French Toast and others sitting close by oohed and mmmmm’d as they extolled the finer points of the decadent White Chocolate Macadamia nut and Banana’s Foster pancake offerings in between bites! I am a bit of a potato snob – if I’m going to count the calories for fried starch, it has to deliver! When cut in small wedges, I prefer my potatoes warm and«crusty» on the outside, creamy and light inside. I felt like Atomic had some room to improve on their spuds. I do agree with other reviewers that the coffee at Atomic Grill is a bit weak, but I am accustomed to espresso and Turkish coffee, preferring my cup o’ Joe thick enough to stand a spoon in(so it may be right up your alley if you prefer a thinner, less robust pour!) ** Interesting fact– Atomic Omelette and Grill sponsors the Atomic Omelette Surf Team in Corpus Christi, Tx which I hear is actually pretty good will be competing in the TGSA for the 2014⁄2015 season! Keep an eye out for cool pics and updates on the team!

Had surgery, soon as I awoke from it all messed up at 9AM which is super early for me since I never ever have breakfast I was like SCORE I get to try Atomic Omlette I’m up early! Bam, got driven over here and parked right in the front and got to finally try this place. Going to start with the bad, which is not really bad the only reason for not 5 stars is this place is called«Atomic Omelette & Grill» Well the menu has 3 Omelets on it and that’s it. The rest of the menu is «Grill» not sure if it’s meeting the local demands of demographics or just how it was intended. Of course the customizable options for building your own omelet are endless which I did, I just was disappointed they didn’t have like 5 – 10 pre-customized omlettes which I was expecting, I really wish they would change it up like that it could really set a huge marketing trend in the area since that doesn’t exist in this city. However, my omelet had beans, bacon, avocado, cheese, ham, beef and some other things I was HUNGRY. This omelet was the best omelet I have ever had in my life, was cooked perfectly came out with the right temperature and the beans, avocado, bacon all mixed together perfectly. I could so use this every single day of my life… I’ve been lead wrong by many standards of omelets I am so glad this place has set the bar high for me in my future omelet endeavors. I’m proud Corpus Christi has a place with such great omelets. I will also come back to try to grill side of things which had a huge menu of different options. The coffee is also some of the best coffee around. The staff was also attentive, the manager was tucked in shirt, keeping on eye on customers and watching over his staff kind of guy which is A+. Go try it if you have not already, you will be impressed if you know how to order an omelet!

The Atomic Omelette is one of those places that seems better from the outside than it really is. First off, I didn’t enjoy having to order ahead of time at a counter and the service was non-existent with way too many employees looking like deer in the headlights. I loved my omelette though! I ordered the«Atomic Omelette». The sides are not very good and are bland. The coffee and drinks are also self serve which was annoying. The coffee ran out and they didn’t seem to tend to it. Overall, I probably would go other places first.

To sum it up, it’s a friendly family oriented, no frills with the ambiance type of joint. Looking for a healthy meal, they were kind enough to let us customize our breakfast in all possible ways. The Hershel by Rocks– 2 eggs any way(even egg whites), whole wheat pancakes w/protein powder with turkey sausages and their homemade salsa. It’s a complete and healthy meal all for under $ 9. We also built our own omelette with chicken, egg white and 4 other vegetables for all under $ 10. For a decent breakfast, this is a place to visit. Healthy breakfast is slim pickings around here, so this is pretty good here.
