This place seems to be a beach goer/tourist trap. The only thing decent about the place was the view to the beach. We had the chips and queso to start and the queso wasn’t terrible but there was big chunks of cheese in it… which lead me to believe that it’s a big pit of queso that they just add more cheese to at the beginning of the day(gross). My husband ordered the fried fish basket and the fish was soaked and dripping in grease. And since the fish was on top of the fries they in turn were soggy and mush. I ordered the macaroni and cheese with no meat and I got milk on noodles. All of our plates had food slop on them and cheese dripping on the sides. It was a very disappointing dinner and I would never recommend this place unless you enjoy overpriced grease filled bland food.

We stayed in the co-owned motel and was not offered any kind of info or discount when dining. The food was ok. Outstanding view. The price was too high for the quality. The bar was a joke. The drinks were priced ok but now Im sitting in my car listening to music because the bar closed at 1245 on a Friday night. There are no other bars on North beach and this place is surrounded by hotels/motels. When asked why they were closing early, i heard the response of «because we have other sh** to do». This place could be a gold mine if the staff was more friendly and if they actually cared about the money that could be made if they stayed open like a normal bar. Great potential and location. Horrible service and operating hours.

This restaurant has a great view, it’s location is PERFECT. The food however is rather disappointing. The beef fajitas I ordered were a little rubbery. Definitely not worth the price. We sat upstairs, our waitress took very long to bring our drinks and was not attentive at all. I ordered a margarita, that was a waste. I would come here for the view and not the food and drinks.

3 stars are mostly for the view. While visiting Corpus for work, my boss and I decided to pick a restaurant with a view of the ocean. This caught our eye because of the bright outside décor and was right on the«beach». We sat downstairs which is self serve, had a couple drinks and then ordered from the small menu available downstairs. I had one chicken taco that was just OK… I can’t speak for the menu upstairs but the food in the bar can not be what keeps this place open. The staff was underwhelming as well. I can say the breeze from the ocean, while sitting outside in 90 degree weather was amazing and kept us there for over 2 hours. Don’t go there hungry tho!!!

Not the quality expected. Poor quality experience and really expensive. We were not satisfied especially with the waiter taking a smoke break who told us we could just sneak through into the bar. Much like a tourist place.

NOSTAR00.0. THISISTHEWORST place! Customer service 0! Family friendly 0! Attitude 0! Personality 0! Bartenders are the worst, the least intelligent people I have ever come across! The least friendly, least helpful place EVER! Whatever you do, don’t try to have fun with your kids here, especially on vacation! Wrecked our dinner and evening.

Very average. We enjoyed that we could take our pup but was a little disappointed that the patio area was self order and self pick-up of tacos only. Mist of the food tasted under seasoned and bland. It is right on the beach so there was a nice view.

The margaritas were delicious. I think we had 3 or 4! We also ordered the chips and queso, which were also good. Bf liked his tacos. Portions are all good. Since it was a much slower than its busy season, we got very good service. I can only imagine how packed this place must be during spring break or the summer. Also, the upstairs, as we were told, had a full menu. There is a food order station downstairs which is were the bar is. Seating area is cool and it looks like they might feature bands on the weekend. They have a little stage area. Overall, we truly enjoyed our lunch break.

Visited with family 05÷02÷16. The location caught our eye from the bridge, and we decided to try the new venture out since last year. We hated it. Our entire family regretted the stop. If you like tourist traps this is your place. The prices are high, food not so good, and it is mainly a tourist trap for visitors of the beach. We paid $ 86 for 2 adults and 3 kids. The same meal at On The Border would have been cheaper and better quality food. The family restaurant is on the second floor and bar on the first floor. We went upstairs. Ordered 2 half pound orders of fajita meat. Chicken and sausage. They brought beef and sausage. There was no flavor. Our waitress was thrown out on the floor alone her first day, so I appreciate her hard work. Who puts a waitress out alone the first day? We were left hungry, and after paying the bill headed to the almighty Whataburger. The meal was lacking, and we will not return. Go to Pier 99 or grab a Whataburger. I hate leaving a bad review, but there was nothing I like about the place other than the building.

Horrible service and super rude staff. Wouldn’t even give me a water for my kids after I paid for food and cocktail for myself. Will not be back and don’t recommend anyone else goes back either!

Great location. Everything else is shit! Took ten minutes just to get our drinks. Food was left on half the tables. Taste was below average for Mexican food.

My husband an I like to come here at night to let lose have a few drink an enjoy the breeze along with the great sounds of the ocean an music. We went for lunch one day an it was such a different view, very relaxing. If you haven’t had to chance to go during the day or lunch time I would really suggest you try it.

We had a wonderful time on the beach this afternoon so we stopped in for some appetizers and a drink or two. We had the Diablo which we enjoyed. We also had another appetizer that was ok. We came in on happy hour had some $ 4 titos which I’m glad I knew the price. All other drinks were unlabeled an I didn’t worry about. The drinks were over priced I’m glad I was given a $ 50 gift card.

They place has amazing great location. They need a lot of work on the service, food, and liquor options. Only had 2 options for tequila.

This could be a great place — location, location, location. Color and décor is great too. However, the food is carnival with the quality and the walk up order counter. Music is blaring and totally attracting the wrong demographic. Last time I was there, a fight broke out. Service is sub-par but does that matter if you serve nothing worth ordering? All I can do is shake my head in bewilderment.

Beautiful view– which is probably the only reason I gave it 3 stars. We had a plate the ‘Shrimp Sensation’ the coconut shrimp was good and it came with sweet dipping sauce. The bacon wrapped shrimp– I’ve had MUCH better– and the fried shrimp was nothing to rave about, and the shrimp in general were tiny. I had a Pina Colada which was basically virgin. The restaurant had not many options– the food was very Americana and the fajitas were like something from Chilis. I wouldn’t go back.

This place gets two stars because of the view of the water from the top floors. I got to watch some tourists first attempt at kite-surfing. If you’ve ever seen someone who does not know what they are doing on a surfboard attached to a parachute, you know how much fun this can be to watch. One of them got thrown at least 100 feet through the air when a huge gust of wind hit the sail. He hit the water so hard that I could swear he lost some teeth. When we walked into the little lobby the hostess just stared at us, even after someone offered them a cheerful«Hello! How are you?». We sat there looking stupid, looking around this place as its puke and beer-fart smelling elevator door opened and assaulted our noses so much that we all looked at each other and almost walked out. After an awkward exchange with the hostess, she was rude enough to roll her eyes at us for not knowing how this weird place works with its multiple-floor arrangement. The 2nd floor was full and there was some length of a wait enough for us to opt to sit outside, away from the ear-shattering and terrible taste of music blaring from the bar on the bottom floor. We had to sit a few tables towards the volley-ball area out on the beach just to hear ourselves talk. We waited forever to be seated, and the only seat available after this already grueling ordeal was the one outside the front entrance in what could be construed as a wind tunnel. Even the tortillas and half-full bottles of beer were blowing off the table. They charge you for water! They even have their own brand. Its as if they pay someone in the back to strip the labels off of bottled water from Sam’s Club and put their own on them. Then they charge five times what they paid for it. Even the Corona I had tasted very old. I don’t think I’ve ever complained about the way a Corona tastes, if that tells you how forgiving I am, but this one was bad. The lime slices were very dry and hard. We ordered thier big signature family-sized fajita dish with shrimp, chicken, and beef in an effort to get the most out of this place, in hopes that this one dish this eponimous establishment should be good for would turn out to represent our evening there in a better way than our experience thus far. Naturally, all the meat was cold, the chicken was over-cooked, the tortillas were cold and chewy, as if they were made the day before and left out. The only other positive aspect of this mistake we made in our choice for dining that night was watching how the local crazies from North Beach would get drunk and slobber all over each other on the dance floor. Fortunately my appetite was already lost by the time I witnessed this bizarre mating ritual, but I’m not sure my child is OK to this day. The kite-surfing rookies were hilarious though. It was a lot of fun to spectate and act as sports announcers as they star-fished off the brick-hard choppy water at dangerous speeds, occasionally runing into each other, and always on the verge of losing that precarious control of their boards at any given moment. I’d go back to North Beach for that, but I’d sit at a real bar with real Mexican Seafood instead.

Atmosphere cannot be beat. Location is excellent. The food is mostly a cheap ballpark style, over cooked and just not that good. We all agreed(13 of us) the food was rather generic. Margaritas are a generic powder mix, same with pina coladas. Can’t beat the location.

FOOD: the food is by far lacking in just about everything, if you are gonna pay $ 44 for a pound of fajitas by far let it me a good portion size, $ 9 for six coco shrimps and two teas a grand total of $ 65. If you expect to go in there with an appetite might as well eat somewhere else before you go there… people want PORTIONS, PORTIONS, and more PORTIONS. BAR: the bar is by far the best atmosphere there in the area and at the beach, to be able to sit out there looking at the water and the U.S. Lexington and enjoy some drinks is priceless… plenty of room out there in the bar area with plenty of TV’s live music DJ’s and all is outstanding. If you are going out there to drink some drinks this is by far the place to go but don’t go there to eat… especially if you eat in the patio oh and don’t leave your plate or food unattended cause the seagulls will beat you to you food.
