Went here for dinner last night. The food was great and my boyfriend and I loved it. The crawfish étouffée and seasoned shrimp was awesome and we loved it. The only downside is that the wait took forever. If you’re hungry and you want to eat something fast, I’d recommend you go to a fast food restaurant instead.

A definite ‘hole in the wall’ type feel, but mindlowingly good. The service was outstanding, our waitress gladly took the time to show my friend how to eat the boiled crawfish. I had the fried crawfish plate, and it was so good, even though I was full, I wanted another. One warning: depending on your appetite, the ‘half’ boiled plates may or may not be enough for 2 people. All this being said, this is my first time in Corpus Christi, and I will ABSOLUTELY be back to Crawdaddy’s if /when I find myself back here.

Took a little while for us to be seated, though there were lots of empty seats. Once seated though, the waitress was attentive. Ordered the mild crawdads, which came with sausage, corn and taters. It was delicious and the spice built after awhile. The waitress left a shaker of spice in case we wanted it more spicy. Overall, we enjoyed it food and the dive ambience, like Acme in New Orleans. It’ll be my go to in Corpus when I Jones for crawdads.

Only been here once. My experience was below avg. First we order a table for 5 but only 3 showed up. Obviously it’s out of everyone control but still got attitude from the waitress. This place offered all you can eat crawfish which you figure isn’t bad deal right. Well they are busy I’m guess that night the crawfish were not purge so you can image eat that? Smh lesson learned.

I’m so sad that people would rate this place 1 star. I love their shrimp it’s huge and meaty(oxymoron). Yes it’s expensive but this shrimp is the best I’ve had in Corpus Christi. The Catfish seems frozen. I don’t like crawfish so I can’t give an opinion on that. The wait on food can seem forever and the salad should not be considered a salad. .okay I guess I’m not selling this place and can now understand after all but I can guarantee the shrimp is the bomb.

This would get a 5 star review if I wasn’t told by an older lady that they had oysters, but no one wanted to shuck oysters for anyone. How can an establishment even say that?! Why not just say you’re out of oysters?! Other than that, I like this place. Great crawfish, and when some feels like shucking oysters, those are good too.

Almost 4 bucks for a soda can? That’s ridiculous! The refill 4 bucks also! And the worst service! Never going to come back.

We came here in August and let me just start by saying if you want fast food don’t come here. This is fresh good down home cooking. Great food takes time to cook. I tried crawfish for the first time it was awesome ! I love the boil and I love that you can choose the spice level. They have kid friendly meals. Waitstaff was very friendly. Just sit back enjoy family and friends time will just fly

It’s a dive atmosphere. It reminds me of Acme Oyster House in NOLA. We always get the sampler which is shrimp, crawfish, sausage, and corn. They make their own spice that we like to mix with the butter. You can also order your level of spice for the seafood. We eat here every time we are in town. It is delicious and the staff are super nice.

To all this was the worst experience of my life. The shrimp was over cooked and when we went to tell the waitress she keep cutting me off and wouldn’t let me talk. Then she got the manager who she lied to about what and how things were said. All I wanted was some shrimp I could eat not gum. After going back and forth my group left and we went to Brewsters. Oh ya they made us pay for my meal and told us how we didn’t know how to cook shrimp. I didn’t understand that being we went out to eat not out to cook.

Had the fired catfish lunch. the portions were big but the flavor was not. Seems to be more set up for a nighttime lets get loud crowd than a weekday lunch. Service was friendly and nice(that got the two stars).

Love the food here! Unfortunately the customer service sucks. We had a $ 50 dollar gift and after a $ 40 dollar meal we were denied the left over amount on the gift card because it had no cash value. Basically if we didn’t eat $ 50 worth of food we lost the remaining amount. Then I ordered food Togo and went back 30 minutes after accidentally leaving behind the Togo box and was told pretty much too bad it had been thrown away. The customer service is really on the low end we will probably not go back.

So, I live in downtown Corpus and often work from home. I’ll confess — I love supporting the businesses down here, but the loud speaker that plays relentlessly, day in and out has kept me from going in to try the place. While I get that it is all a part of the package deal, there really could be more consideration for the other businesses and tenants downtown. Outdoor speakers are fine. It would be enjoyable if it weren’t so loud that I can hear it from my apartment — 3 blocks away — for 12 hours a day. I know there have been a lot of other complaints about the speaker. It would say a good bit about this business if they listened to those complaints and functioned more respectably in the area.

If you want decent seafood, go to Joe’s Crabshack. Their shrimp(crawfish boiled same way) has no flavor, just spicy. I understand it’s a small town but a joint like this gotta be better than Joe’s Crabshack. Wait staff are nice ppl!

Went this past weekend and had an excellent experience. Has a dive kinda feel to it and is located in the heart of downtown corpus. The waitstaff was attentive, the food was great and the beer was cold and served in a frosty mug. The prices were fair for the amount of food you get. We had the crawdaddy’s half fiesta of crawfish and the boiled jumbo shrimp half fiesta. Both plates came with sausage, corn on the cob and new potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly and served with their excellent spice mix. Note to Cajuns: My wife grew up in New Orleans and pointed out that the crawfish were not boiled alive(she can tell the difference). I was impressed none the less and would return.

Wow, these are some pretty harsh reviews and I’m not saying they aren’t warranted as I didn’t have any of the dishes that people seem to be criticizing(étouffée, gumbo, etc). We all went after a cold day at the Lexington because my brother fondly remembered this place from visits in the 90s. I was pretty worried when I checked their Unilocal score on the way. We opted for what he remembered to be good, the boiled seafood. They have several versions on the menu, the smallest of which serves 2. We opted for a combination of Cajun(shrimp, crawdads, potatoes, corn and sausage) and one that was just shrimp. We also got an appetizer of fried oysters because we were craving them. The oysters were the lowlight of the meal, avoid. At $ 18 for one dozen, they also weren’t cheap. The boiled stuff took a little while to come out but it was a nice huge tray of sea critters. There were quite a lot of crawdads but the shrimp were no joke, head-on and JUMBO. I had kind of expected regular size in a boiled mix like this but these were virtual sea monsters. There was a bottle of squeeze butter on the table that I thought was a little weird but it definitely worked with the potatoes. Pitcher of Modelo to go with and it was a delicious meal. Bottom line: I recommend the boiled seafood meals here but I wouldn’t come here for fried seafood, go to Snoopy’s for that. The service was good, the place is a dive and they charge for every soda(no refills).
