New York Pizza

HORRIBLE costumer service. They do not pick up their phones and lock up early. When I tried coming in, they locked their doors an hour early while their employees sat around and watched tv. Good pizza, but crappy costumer service and frankly their pizza is not good enough to bring me back, especially with their prices. I ended up at strictly to go pizza that is right across the street, sweet people, great price, great pizza.

This place rules!!!
People with 1 stars can go eat little caesars… Because they don’t know what is a true ny style slice… Have a combo slice its tastyyyy!!! And one of the owners (I think his name was Azim) gave me a free beer on the house who does that???

Who would have known that there is a place where you can actually grab a slice of pizza late at night — in Concord!
The beau and I was craving for a slice of pizza one night after catching a movie. Did a quick Unilocal search and was lead to NY Pizza. Unfortunately there were no photos to judge a slice of pizza, which was difficult (happy to say that the one photo of two slices of pizza are mine!). Walked into the place which was basically empty. A little hesitant already at this point. The only customer present were two police officers, presumably on a break. The menu is bleak, but hey we just wanted two slices of pizza — to go. We were informed that a slice of pizza is $ 4.50, cheese, and 50 cents for additional toppings. The slice of pizza apparently came with a soda each. We inquired if we could not get a soda, and was informed that we would get a 50 cent discount. Okay.
Ordered two pepperoni pizzas. It took about 10 minutes. Got our pizza and left. Super excited to go home and eat it. The pizza was HOT! It was HUGE! One slice of pizza was actually the size of two :) Also they had cut our slice of pizza into squares which made it easy for eating. Yay! The pizza was great, very surprisingly. The crust was thin and crisp just as advertised so I didn’t feel jilted. I appreciated how thin and crispy the crust was. There was a good amount of cheese and the pepperoni was fresh. The two slices of pizza, although we were the only customers, was fresh which I appreciated. They definitely found a repeat customer in me, and we now know where to get sliced pizza late at night. PERFECT!

The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because the ambiance could be improved upon. The pizza, however, was fantastic! Crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and you get a free soda with a slice purchase. The staff are incredibly friendly. I added a salad for $ 3 and literally, you could fill a bathtub with how much they gave you. This pizza was pretty darn close to the some I’ve had in NY. I will most definitely be returning.

This app doesn’t let you close without leaving a star. But I don’t give it even One star…
Positive: they delivered the pizza on time.
Extremely negative: after calling in and paying with plastic, my checking account was drained of $ 1300 .
Coincidence? Yeah– evidently I immediately went to Walmart and spent a grand, then withdrew $ 167.82 .
Never again…

Pizza = Delicious. Amazing. One of our favorite pizzas!
Their slices of pepperoni are amazing! They are huge and really, really good. Even better with some of their amazing ranch as a side. If you go and pick up your food there’s a pool table for entertainment.
Service = Two star. Want to try some delicious pizza but don’t feel like driving? Good luck!
In the past we were able to have pizzas delivered. No problem. One time we just ordered enough slices to satisfy the minimum charge for delivery. The slices are better than the whole pizza. (Can’t figure how that works but it’s true!!) Amazing, giant slices.
BUT, twice now on a weekend evening we have called (most recently on 4÷20÷12 at 10:33 p.m.). This weekend we were told the kitchen closes at 10:30 p.m. and they were no longer delivering. Friday night, minutes after the kitchen «closes», over an hour before they say they close online… and we couldn’t get service!!! And it’s happened twice.
Solution: Pizza Guys on Salvio had no problem delivering at 10ish on a Friday night. It seems they wanted our business and thanked us with great customer service. But it definitely wasn’t close to the same quality of pizza! Not close at all.

I love this place! I went to college in upstate New York, and this place makes pizza very similar to the local pizza joint that EVERYONE loves!
The price is definitely on the higher side, but the taste is fantastic. For an X-​Large Pepperoni Pizza, it’s like $ 23. It is great New York Pizzeria-​style pizza (not big slice style, though – one of the photos posted here looks like a huge slice but it’s really 3 slices combined). It’s the best pizza we have had here in Concord, so give them a try!

Had a lazy day one day and decided to order pizza from a new place. We wanted good pizza and wanted it from somewhere other than a chain place. When we got the food, the wings were O.K. Hardly any meat on them it seemed, and the pizza was, uhhh, just a pizza, nothing special at all. I have made better pizza at home. It was a good size, so that’s a plus. The toppings and cheese kind of just slipped off. The pizza just wasn’t up to our standards, and our standards aren’t terribly high. It was O.K. but we both decided we probably will not be ordering from them again.

Expensive pizza tasted OK. I can get better pizza for less price.

this displaced New Yorker gives it a rave. They are definitely not California pizza. Good meat, crust cooked just right, they even have garlic powder and use Oregano.
Going back there again. Too bad the owners are niner fans :-)

I immediately hate everyone who gave this place less than 5 stars because THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA PLACE IN THE WORLD. Hell, I’ve had SO MUCH PIZZA in New York, and New York Pizza (in Concord) blows all of those other places away.
First off all, this is kind of a quiet place, yes. It’s dark, there aren’t cool jukeboxes or loads of arcade games. IDGAF. I am not here to play games. I am here to eat pizza.
The pizza is the best thing in the world. The slices are bigger than a normal personal pizza. It’s not even expensive. The crust is so so so thin and crispy. The flavors are just right. It comes out quick and I get a free soda.
Someone mentioned there not being parmesan cheese out and that was a tell tale sign that this place sucks. Um, they keep it in the fridge so it doesn’t go bad. Just ask.
Jalapeño and pepperoni pizza. It’s the best in the world.

This place is under new managment and has come a long way.
Place: I enjoy the place, right when I walked in i noticed that the 3 Flat screen TV’s had th 49er game on and I love a place that puts the game on. The atmosphere was cool, and people were nice.
Food: The pizza was good, thin crust, new york style, good flavor and lots of good pizza combos to choose from.
Service: The place was good and one of the owners, Abdul was very nice and really seemed to care about me and my pizza.
Overall: good place glad to have it in the neiborhood and plan on ordering some fresh and tasty pizza alot from New York Pizza!

I just wanted to do an update for my favorite pizza spot.
I still crave and love this pizza.
I haven’t had a bad pizza from here, but that’s me.
I always go with either a Large or X-​Large Pepperoni + Sausage.
Sometimes I get the garlic twists (w/​red sauce) or garlic bread, both are delicious! Try some!

I called while I was on BART and had just passed the pleasant hill station. I got a special X-​Large 2-​topping for pick-​up and some garlic twists. I drove from the Concord BART to NY PIzza and pizza was ready in a few minutes.
Price was $ 20.
Honestly it was delicious. Still some of the BEST pizza I’ve ate EVER. And you can check my reviews. Pizza is my FAVORITE food. I love New York Pizza. Service is hit or miss, the owner always takes care of me and my roommate. In addition, I will say that their deliver guys are pretty bad. And I don’t know why they never have change. Luckily we get ones so we don’t have to worry about it.

I’ve ordered delivery from here about 4 – 5 times, most recently on Friday night. The driver was 30 mins late and said he couldn’t find the place, although I know for a fact that he has delivered to my house before. The food was cold and not good at all.
Much to my dismay, my boyfriend and I have been having stomach issues for the past 3 days since eating from this place. I wil never order from here again.

Hadn’t been there in a while remodeled the inside they had football playing, pizza was good as usual I ordered a combination with thin crust the dine in felt much better (they added a little color to the walls & a pool table!) Not sure why some people gave this place a bad review– the place was clean, the poor guy even turned the tv to face me– I just would like to say something about bad reviews, please make sure you are talking about the RIGHT LOCATION when there is more that one in the area!

I ordered delivery. They told me 45 minutes, but it was more like 1hr 15min.
The currier was extremely nice even though they forgot my drinks. He did bring them back. The pizza was just okay. I give two stars for the pizza, but three stars for the courtesy of the currier.

Horrific. I’m not sure why the reviews from early in this year seem to paint a picture of a place that has a pool table and arcade machines, but this had neither. I would give this place a zero if it would let me.
The place was was not very clean. Anytime a free drink is offered when buying food is always a bad sign in my book and this place had a big sign saying a free drink was given with every slice ordered. I was worried when the guy there couldn’t speak english but I ordered anyway. I sat down and noticed there was no parmesan cheese on any table, but everything else was there. Another bad sign for me.
I waited a small amount of time and even before I could see it, I could smell how terrible it smelled. It smelled like frozen pizza. It turned out to be worse than frozen pizza.
I’m not sure why this is called New York pizza. The pizza is the opposite of New York style. The crust was thick and doughy in certain areas. It had looked like this pizza had been cooked days ago and then put in the freezer, then taken out and thawed, then re-​heated and then served to me. The sauce was chunky and thick like a pasta sauce. The cheese was not melted. It was still in clumps and and obviously, not very appetizing. The pizza seemed like it was reheated since the bottom of the crust was definitely hot, but the rest of the pizza was still lukewarm. They really need to change the name and also find a better recipe for the pizza.

I saw the 9 good reviews and figured I’d would give it a try…
At 7pm the place had nobody in it… it took 5 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me!
I figured I’d try a slice of cheese pizza… someone finally took my order. I watched him make it… they had pre-​made pizza dough (uncooked), took out a slice and placed the cheese and sauce on it, and put it in the oven.
The scary part is that the pre-​made dough was placed back on top of the oven UNCOVERED! An immediate turn off… I walked out without saying a word…

Some of the BEST pizza in concord right here! Ordered for my first time this past weekend. I didn’t get it before cos I thought it was the same one as in walnut creek, I was mistaken! The dough was soft, fresh, and yummmy! The pizza had a perfect balance of sauce, great seasoning, and cheese/​toppings.
When I ordered they offered specials and it was delivered quickly. They gave me coupons and it was great to see a place open so late!
Don’t pass this place up!

Ok, so it is 11pm and since i usually dont stay in on Friday nights I found myself in a bind when my stomach growled and I found my fridge bare. Not willing to drive under the influence I came to Unilocal to find pizza delivery in Concord. I read the reviews and decided to take a long shot and call. WHADDAYA KNOW?! PLEASANT GUY ANSWERED AND SAID, «SURE! WHAT WOULD YA LIKE!» Stunned, I found myself stuck because i had not thought of what to order because i really did not believe they would deliver @ this hr in concord, but seeing a reviewer rave abt the greek pizza i decided to give it a whirl. i also asked the pleasant man what he would recommend and he threw out a few options, i was going to change my order cause i was craving meat and he offered to add chicken to my greek pizza… dilemma solved! he gave me total, thanked me for my order and provided an eta. AND, actually said goodbye instead of just hanging up. If the pizza is as good as some have said, then i will bump it up to 5stars. Wow, maybe staying in on a fri night is good once in awhile:-)
Cut to 11:47pm, my pizza arrived piping hot! :-) took one slice and O.M.G.it is DELICIOUS! you have to try the greek pizza, im not sure what it tastes like w/​o chikn bt i know that its awesome with the chicken added! yummy in my tummy! Only complaint: they brought diet soda instead of reg. But the pizza is sooo good, its not worth calling them abt. I want to stay in their good graces! Bumped up to 5 stars as promised!
